"Following her exit... Guilfoyle’s enemies within Fox... have tried to plant negative stories and start whisper campaigns against her, accusing her of workplace misconduct..."

"... and allegedly abusive behavior toward Fox staff. Some sources still working at Fox have described some of the 'oppo' that’s been shopped on Guilfoyle as frivolous, inflated to sound more nefarious than it was—potentially to act as a public pretext for her dismissal. For instance, a source told The Daily Beast that one story involved Guilfoyle’s alleged 'abuse' of the network’s makeup staff. The Daily Beast has learned that this alleged 'abuse' entailed included asking makeup staffers to do her favors such as provide makeup for non-work-related activity...."

I'm just noticing "Fox News Goes to War Against Its Own: Kimberly Guilfoyle" (Daily Beast).

Don't burn any bridges goes both ways.

Speak nothing but praise about the company that fired you because the next company guy will be thinking this is what you'll be saying about him.

The other side is speak nothing but praise about the guy you fired or you wan't get good people applying. They think the same thing might happen to them.

Other sources have described it as "women acting like women" and taking the opportunity to indulge their jealousy and cattiness directed at someone they see as newly vulnerable.

Only saw the make up in passing. Usually it was straight to the legs prominently up front in the camera angles. But my eyes can only take so much primarily colored wardrobe... Channel changer click...

It's pot-stirring from the Daily Beast. Shocking.

Guilfoyle has a Glenn Reynolds fixed smile, in photos. Every photo the same.

rhhardin said...

You know what a Guilfoyle or Glenn Reynolds mug-shot would look like without seeing it.

In the grand scheme of things, the news report has no relevance to real news. In the past, such gossip was only found in the tabloids in the checkout aisles at the grocery store.

Hagar said...

On the O'Reilly show, Lis Wiehl would usually argue about legal technicalities while Guilfoyle would reason from right vs. wrong.

OMG!
I bet she sometimes asked for a second scoop of ice cream, too!

Hottest chick on Fox.

That's as far as I got.

I don't believe she was fired unless the new mgt has really and truly gone librul.

Daily Beast makes up stories about Sean Hannity. I'd take anything thru a filter or as total made up BS. Because the left are at war with anyone who doesn't go along with the commie Brennan-Clinton mind-trap that everything is a Russian conspiracy.

I thought this was not 'that's not funny!'

-Kimberly Guilfoyle started dated Donald Trump Jr., now she's leaving Fox News. I hope Tiffany Trump starts dating Juan Williams.

-Somebody on Twitter

Being her makeup artist would be very demanding.

She dated a married man. That used to be called "fast", and it used to ruin your reputation.

HuffPost headline doesn’t fit the story. The text is nuanced if not a bit insinuating. The headline shouts.

PS Things have not gone well for the women who leave Fox.

We have to be aware that even at Fox most of the people are liberals because usually conservatives don't go into journalism.

Is she gone ? Since I don't watch TV, I'll have to ask my wife. She is the Fox News watcher.

The Daily Beast talking about Fox. Or Fox talking about The Daily Beast, if you like. Either way, why would you read/watch it when you know whatever truth, if any, that lies within it is going to be compromised by sensationalism and bias? At one time a careful raking of RCP’s aggregation page could give you a reasonable understanding of what’s going on, but it’s becoming increasingly not worth the the effort as the reeking sulfur of a given writer’s biases becomes obvious two sentences into the article. Seriously, if you wanted more insight into modern politics you’d listen to a podcast about the Peloponnesian War.

I think AB Stoddard is now an editor for RCP. She is a bigtime lib which could affect what is posted there.

Is she gone ?

She sent a tweet that she was leaving Fox News to go work for a pro-Trump organization called America First.

The Murdoch boys want to shill for a World Government run by them. Guilfoyle is a beautiful and intelligent Trump lover. Destroying her is automatic.

Guilfoyle is needlessly verbose in her panel discussion responses.

I don't think that Kimberly's restless heart will find enduring love and serenity in the arms of Donald Trump Jr, but perhaps this storm flecked couple can find a moment's shelter in each other's company before they are forced apart.......I wonder if Huma and Weiner can somehow find a way to get back together. They were my favorite power couple. They looked so good together. You knew who wore the pants in that marriage.

Judging by the news and Twitter, it wasn't Anthony.

Watching The Five I often got the sense that Kimberly and Dana Pierino don't like each other. I'd rather hear from Kimberly than Dana. Darn. I don't think Dana likes Jessie either. Hope Jessie's not next because for some reason Dana's opinion seems to carry weight.

Kimberly is not a news person, per se, rather an analyst of some sort. Once she started dating Trump Jr. she really had no choice but to leave the analyst job. Seems like a professional ethics thing to me. I never noticed any tension between her and the others on The Five show. Though I didn't watch all of it every day; just some of it most days. Dana seemed to be in charge, but she's a little to squeaky clean for my taste.

I kept hearing about how hot KG was on Fox. I watched some. It was clear she thought she was hot.

Not to me. But good luck to her.

YMMV.

Over time, she seemed to preen more and more on The Five. I think she got caught up with her looks and her difficulty competing with other panelists. That is too bad because she seems to be a fairly bright woman.

I think she is pretty hot for someone going on 50. But then, I am 65 and have a different perspective than younger folks.

Dana will be the next Nicole Wallace and Steve Schmidt.

Dana is better than Kimberley most of the time, although Dana does tend to be too hopeful that things will work the way they should work, and not they way they actually work. Kimberley tends to talk too much, and is not as insightful on most subjects.

Exhelodrv:

I dislike Dana Perino because she is smug and arrogant. She rationalizes, in her mind, the flaws and the waste the rest of see in the Imperial City. But Dana can't see that because she worked there for so long in the Bush Admin. Guilfoyle, an outsider for the most part, sees what the rest of us see.

I'm Full of Soup said...

And what Drago said at 12:58PM

rhhardin said...

She's ruthless, unstable and status-driven. But what else is new.

Dana Perino may be good at her job, but she’s entitled and catty in real life.

This woman used to be married to Gavin Newsome. She's likely an apolitical ladder climber, nothing more.
