Eh. Years ago there were drive through daiquiri stand in New Orleans. Now that's more impressive than hole in the wall donut shop or a liquor store in Austin. Austin does have great restaurants and bars.

This is going to be worth a dozen seats in the house for the new Republican party.

Trump just promised to shut down the government over the wall.

On September 28th.

Open borders is about as popular as herpes anywhere outside the big blue cloisters.

It would be cheaper than electrifying the fence. We should start with rubber bullets first. But it needs to be clear to these invaders we have borders and we have laws.

No country in the world would tolerate this activity. We will not tolerate it for long.

This weekend The Conservative Treehouse website published two superb articles explaining the announcement by "Crazy Comey the Leaker" on October 28, 2016, that the FBI was reopening the investigation of Hillary Clinton's e-mails because thousands of her e-mails had been discovered on Anthony Weiner's computer. The two articles, in order, are titled:

1) FBI Never Investigated Abedin/Clinton Laptop Emails In October 2016

2) An Updated Review of Details Within Lisa Page and Peter Strzok Text Messaging

On September 28, 2016, Weiner's attorney gave all the e-mails to the Justice Department's Southern District of New York (SDNY). The circumstances were that the New York Police Department (NYPD) had seized Weiner's computer equipment because of a report that he had been communicating sexually with a 15-year-old girl.

Weiner had a backup of his computer's data, and he gave that backup to his attorney, who gave it to SDNY. Therefore, DOJ/FBI did not need a warrant to obtain Weiner's data. Within a day or two the backup came into the possession of Andrew "The Lying Leaker" McCabe in FBI Headquarters.

FBI Headquarters proceeded to sit on the data backup, not taking any action, from late September to late October 2016. McCabe's justification for not studying the data was that there was no probable cause to study it, because Comey already had resolved the FBI's investigation of Clinton's e-mails in July.

Meanwhile, the NYPD, which had seized Weiner's computer still was waiting for a warrant to search the computer's contents for its own investigation of Weiner's sexual communications. The NYPD's insistent requests for a search warrant belatedly caused a crisis in DOJ/FBI on October 21. There the crisis developed for a week, until October 28, when Comey announced publicly that the FBI now would begin to study the data.

A big factor in Comey's decision was that he thought that Attorney General Loretta Lynch had discredited herself and DOJ Headquarters and so he himself had to intervene. Comey indicates in his book that Lynch had done something bad that he still cannot reveal.

What Lynch had done was to try to compel NYPD to terminate its investigation of Weiner's computer. Lynch's method was to threaten to prosecute NYPD officials for the death of Eric Gardner, which had occurred in July 2014 -- more than two years previously. If NYPD insisted on studying Weiner's computer, Lynch threatened, then DOJ would prosecute NYPD officials for violating Gardner's civil rights.

Comey thought that Lynch's secret threat against NYPD eventually would come to light, and so Comey intervened and tried to resolve the situation in his own way.

Continuing my comment at 4:51 PM

At some point in late October or early November 2016, NYPD officials informed at least two outsiders about the situation involving Weiner's computer:

1) Erik Prince -- the former owner of the company Blackwater USA

2) Rudy Giuliani -- the former mayor of New York City

It's likely that both men even received from NYPD copies of the data.

-----

On November 4 -- four days before the Presidential election -- Prince told much of what he knew on a radio talk show. A published article about the radio interview reported:

[quote]

Prince claimed he had insider knowledge of the investigation that could help explain why FBI Director James Comey had to announce he was reopening the investigation into Clinton’s email server last week.

“Because of Weinergate and the sexting scandal, the NYPD started investigating it. Through a subpoena, through a warrant, they searched his laptop, and sure enough, found those 650,000 emails. They found way more stuff than just more information pertaining to the inappropriate sexting the guy was doing,” Prince claimed.

“They found State Department emails. They found a lot of other really damning criminal information, including money laundering, including the fact that Hillary went to this sex island with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Clinton went there more than 20 times. Hillary Clinton went there at least six times,” he said.

“The amount of garbage that they found in these emails, of criminal activity by Hillary, by her immediate circle, and even by other Democratic members of Congress was so disgusting they gave it to the FBI, and they said, ‘We’re going to go public with this if you don’t reopen the investigation and you don’t do the right thing with timely indictments,’” Prince explained.

“I believe – I know, and this is from a very well-placed source of mine at 1PP, One Police Plaza in New York – the NYPD wanted to do a press conference announcing the warrants and the additional arrests they were making in this investigation, and they’ve gotten huge pushback, to the point of coercion, from the Justice Department, with the Justice Department threatening to charge someone that had been unrelated in the accidental heart attack death of Eric Garner almost two years ago. That’s the level of pushback the Obama Justice Department is doing against actually seeking justice in the email and other related criminal matters,” Prince said

[end quote]

Keep in mind that Guiliani too has this information -- probably the data itself -- and that he now is serving as President Trump's lawyer for the RussiaGate investigation. Giuliani is "negotiating" with Robert "The FBI Whitewasher" Mueller to conclude the Special Counsel investigation.

In this context, the word "negotiating" means that Guiliani might release all of Weiner's data to the public if Mueller insists on continuing his "investigation" past the 2020 midterm elections.

Erik Prince's involvement in this affair has caused DOJ/FBI and probably CIA to investigate him and to leak information about him.

The probable reason why Prince had been informed about Weiner's computer before the 2016 election was that his company Blackwater USA had employed some NYPD officials who knew about the situation.

Subsequently, Prince has been investigated and wiretapped, and information about him, his activities and his associates has been leaked to Trump-hating journalists. The leaking began during the transition period between Trump's election and the inauguration. The leaking continues to the present.

Prince is a continuing threat to the Deep State, because he might have all the data from Weiner's computer and knows how to reveal it effectively.

The text messages of Peter Strzok and Lisa Page during 2017 provide some indications about how the staff of the Special Counsel was selected.

In theory, Robert "The FBI Whitewasher" Mueller was supposed to select his own staff.

In fact, however, DOJ/FBI essentially selected the staff for Mueller.

Thus, Mueller's "investigation" is essentially DOJ/FBI investigating itself. Of course, Mueller and Rod Rosenstein both have understood this essence from the very beginning.

In selecting the Special Counsel, DOJ/FBI approached Mueller through Aaron Zelby, who had been Mueller's Chief of Staff at FBI and who now was a partner of the WilmerHale law firm. Zelby was included in the Special Counsel's staff.

Lisa Page foresaw that she herself might be able to join WilmerHale following her FBI employment.

Peter Strzok was a close personal friend of Zelby, and so Strzok too probably counted on working for WilmerHale after his own FBI employment.

However, Strzok, while working on the Special Counsel's staff, got into trouble with Zelby for leaking some information to Politico without adequate permission.

Following up my comment at 7:24 PM

Q seems to be an extraordinarily knowledgeable insider who uses cryptic communications to inform the public about the actual situation.

Q indicates that Donald Trump has been supported by some military generals in dealing with the Deep State's efforts to impede him.

After Trump was elected, he flipped Rod Rosenstein and Robert Mueller to support his secret schemes. Trump used carrot-and-stick tactics to compel Rosenstein and Mueller to collaborate with him.

Trump selected Rosenstein and Mueller for his scheme because the Deep State trusted Rosenstein and Mueller. In fact, though, Rosenstein and Mueller have become double-agents working mainly for Trump.

Michael Flynn plead guilty to Mueller as a deceptive act, in order to assure the Deep State that Mueller was making progress in prosecuting Trump's associates.

Although Flynn was removed from his position as National Security Adviser, he has been working secretly, behind the scenes, to investigate the Deep State.

President Trump's public denunciations of Rosenstein and of Jess Sessions are deceptive acts.

Within the next two or so weeks, practically all the Resistance members in the Deep State will be taken down.

-----

The Resistance members have been using a secret communication method in which they collaboratively edit drafts of e-mails that never are sent. They assume that if the e-mails never will be sent, then they never will be discovered.

However, all of their collaborative editing of these draft e-mails has been recorded. Flynn has been supervising the collection of this evidence.

-----

The reason why Rosenstein approved the search of Michael Cohen's possessions was to obtain evidence that can be used to prosecute the Resistance members.

For example, Cohen might have had (and Trump knew he had) a copy of the data from Anthony Weiner's computer. Trump's team might figure that this data might be easier to show in court if it was obtained in this matter.

-----

Rudy Giuliani has been brought into Trump's team not in order to defend Trump, but rather in order to help guide the prosecution of the Resistance members who will be arrested within the next week or so.

This is what Giuliani meant when he said that the Special Counsel investigation could be concluded in the next week or two.

-----

The video is very interesting.

Not because of border enforcement.

The number of illegal immigrants coming across the US border rises and falls as US employment opportunities for less skilled labor rise and fall with the economy. Also, thanks to automation, the long-term trend for less skilled labor is down.

During the 2008-2009 deep recession, the flow of illegal aliens shrank to a trickle.

Mexico borders the US and is the tenth most populous nation in the world. Ten percent of Mexican citizens live in the US illegally. That is de facto open borders, Robert Cook.
The legal policy of the US is not to have open borders, but of course the immigration laws are not enforced, thanks to the axis of capitalist and progressive interests that wishes to promote the interests of illegal immigrants over American citizens.

Robert Cook said...

Lewis,

You may validly criticize how effective we are in preventing everyone who tries to cross our borders illegally, but it is not valid or true to say we have open borders, especially, as I pointed out, the numbers of illegal immigrants coming across the border have been declining for some years.

Robert Cook said...

Moreover, not all the illegal immigrants crossing the border between Mexico and the US are Mexican. Persons from other South American countries also use the Mexican border as their means of entry.
