Wisconsin fashion update — men's division.

The men in shorts have all moved on from cargo to denim cut-offs:

And the thing about a visor — as opposed to a cap — is that you can not only wear it backwards...

... you can wear it upside down.

(And it was great the way the Packers won the game last night.)

JORTS!

Only visor boy has cut-offs, the other two are hemmed.

And the Cowboys handed them the game. The could have easily run the clock down to almost zero, but stupidly passed.

The Packers link doesn't seem to be working.

There should be an age limit on wearing a hat backwards. And if you are going to wear your visor backwards, right side up or down, you've totally defeated the usefulness of the item. Might as well wear a headband.

I've still got my cargo shorts (wore them yesterday), but I'm an old married guy that has no need to peacock.

Now, we shall see if the Mighty Packers can beat the Falcons this year. And meanwhile over in the College playoffs, it's setting up to see TCU matched up with Wisconsin again. Michigan and Oklahoma joined Ohio State this weekend with one loss. The Georgia team still needs to beat Alabama first, and that is a miracle too far.

Men will be boys. What are the girls wearing?

Is there a more entertaining team than the Packers at the moment? I think not.

We did not watch football last night. No big deal about boycott but the baseball playoffs are on.

I hope the NFL can survive the decline. Actually, I don't care as I like college football.

And can I give a shout out to the weekend weather we've had? The last 3, 4, 5 weekends? Perfectomundo!!!

I know we'll have a frost eventually, and people in DC are all moaning that it's so humid. So what? Perfect in Wisconsin. And now the leaves are on fire too.

Why do people live in any other state?

I'm still with cargo shorts (5" inseam) and bill-forward baseball cap under the bike helmet.

The bill not only can be placed right below the sun but serves to break cold face-destined wind if you hold it slightly lower.

With an exemption for people carrying devices with optical sights? Then I'm with you.

That backwards visor is ridiculous.

Football? What's football? The MLB playoffs are on.

The weather has indeed been glorious in Wisconsin for the past month. What a lovely fall!

Backwards cap has to be the dumbest men's "fashion statement" or whatever in my lifetime.

Next, young guys wear their shorts on backwards.

I'm rooting for the NFL to die. Football will always survive, either in College or HS. And if the NFL goes down the drain, maybe another -better- Pro Football league will take its place.

I have a soft spot for the "Packers" since they related to a small town, and aren't owned by some absurd Billionaire.

Of course a practical and useful reason is always an allowed exception. :-)

Why am I so surprised at reading this? You're sounding a bit like an NFL press release or a gaga fangurl - is your tongue in your cheek?!?
In spite of the ongoing NFL 'anthem-flag' travesty? In spite of the fact your referenced article spends half the time speaking of head trauma?!
I'll skip comment on your 'fashion insight'.
Jeesh.

This being Columbus day and Take an Indian to Lunch day, a lot of people have not put out their garbage and the truck is well ahead of schedule, and has come and gone.

So there are a lot of newly put-out garbage cans unemptied.

There's a problem of evidence and knowing here.

The first guess will be that maybe they don't come on a holiday; so the can will be left out for tomorrow.

At some point tomorrow, they'll suspect maybe they did come Monday, and the can will be taken back in to leave out next week.

This has to repeat over a considerable number of neighbors.

What — the way Jerry Jones benched all his starters for chewing gum and not respectfully standing up straight during the anthem?

No fashion shift can ever make jorts any less retarded. Sure, rock cut-offs if you're under 17 and have hair down to your shoulders but otherwise, forget about it.

How can the Packers guy stand the ragged strands grazing the back of his knees? That would drive me bananas.

Someone told me that wearing a hat backwards is a prison thing; indicating that you were a bottom. The brim gets in the way of fellatiation, of course.

Ask the man who has one.I dare you.

You'll get your wish regarding the NFL, but all football will be gone. Less and less parents are allowing their kid to play football, and high schools and colleges will be next because of the liability associated with CTE. The NFL will be the last to die.

The NFL is committing ritual seppuku. It sounds like the owners all got the message except for the idiot scion Jed in Santa Clara.

But for all the lameness of the NFL it is not on the same level of moral repugnance as the NCAA. The NCAA is responsible for infinitely more CTE brain damage than the NFL in a much more vulnerable population. It is worth much more money and brings in much more revenue. It is providing 6/7 figure salaries for an army of administrators and coaches and it pays students in "free" educations. IOW it pays them nothing.

The president needs to remove their anti-trust exemption and their non-profit status.

I have hopes for Todd McNair's lawsuit, which if he wins might zero out the NCAA balance.

He was banned in a malicious action by NCAA agains USC when Pete Carroll was still there.

The NCAA has been fighting discovery for years now. I have heard about some of the emails exchanged by professors who run the organization. They are clear malice. I'm hoping damages are big time.

Former USC assistant football coach Todd McNair’s defamation lawsuit against the NCAA has been set for trial for next year. It will begin April 18, 2018, in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to online court records.

A trial date for the case had not been previously scheduled.

McNair first sued the NCAA in 2011, seeking damages for libel, slander and breach of contract, after it sanctioned him, along with USC, in the previous year following the Reggie Bush investigation. The NCAA’s Committee on Infractions determined Bush, the Trojans’ star running back who won the Heisman Trophy in 2005, had received extra benefits and alleged McNair, who was the running backs coach from 2004-09, was aware of his relationship with a pair of would-be sports marketers who provided him and his family with gifts.

As part of the sanctions, McNair was given a one-year show cause penalty, a step that makes it difficult for a coach to be hired by another university.

McNair has not coached since his contract with USC expired before the 2010 season.

Millions may be at stake.

In Rhode Island, those were below the knee. In Virginia, Michael Jackson-style pants were called high-waters.
