ADDED: Here's the NYT article, "Stephen Bannon Out at the White House After Turbulent Run." Excerpt:
Mr. Bannon’s dismissal followed an Aug. 16 interview he initiated with a writer with whom he had never spoken, with the progressive publication The American Prospect. In it, Mr. Bannon mockingly played down the American military threat to North Korea as nonsensical: “Until somebody solves the part of the equation that shows me that 10 million people in Seoul don’t die in the first 30 minutes from conventional weapons, I don’t know what you’re talking about, there’s no military solution here, they got us.”
He also bad-mouthed his colleagues in the Trump administration, vowed to oust a diplomat at the State Department and mocked officials as “wetting themselves” over the consequences of radically changing trade policy. Of the far right, he said, “These guys are a collection of clowns,” and he called it a “fringe element” of “losers.” “We gotta help crush it,” he said in the interview, which people close to Mr. Bannon said he believed was off the record....

The Military closes ranks?
I honestly don't know a great deal about Bannon. People claimed he was a sort of an eminence grise, but I tend to doubt that sort of thing is possible with Donald Trump.
"Steve Bannon is a cancer on the Trump Presidency and needs to be removed!"
"The ouster of Steve Bannon is another sign the Trump administration is in chaos!"
Same person.
Could CNN be smart enough to float that story in the hope that it will make the President dig in and keep Mr. Bannon?
It must be true, I saw it on TV!
"Licence is a noun, license is a verb." an argument in England where the parking meters use American noun "License". This is causing a yuge uproar over the wanton abuse of their language by the hegemonic tribe across the sea.
Fox news actually said on the radio just now that since Steve Bannon's departure was announced, the stock market is up 8 points.
8 points.
I honestly don't know a great deal about Bannon. People claimed he was a sort of an eminence grise, but I tend to doubt that sort of thing is possible with Donald Trump.
He's the one who advocated for the Charlie Manson doctrine of social domestic policy.
You have to admire the chutzpah in these two lines from the NY Times story on Bannon:
"But the loss of Mr. Bannon, the right-wing nationalist who..."
"...human rights activists demanded that the president fire so-called nationalists working in..."
Big mistake by Trump.
We hear he is a whiz of a wiz,
if ever a wiz there was.
If ever a wonderful wiz there was,
The Wizard of Oz is one because,
Because, because, because, because, because
Because of the wonderful things he does.
Maybe the palace intrigue will stop but I doubt.
That, if true, is disappointing. Bannon might become like Gingrich, an outside advisor and conscience.
Bannon is rich and does not need the job but he is Trump's unconscious.
Without Bannon, there would be no President Trump.
I think he knows that. Andrew Mellon made Coolidge's presidency successful.
The guy who ghost wrote Trump's book is now saying that Trump will resign. Well actually he said that earlier in the year, but since the war on the Confederacy began in earnest, they trotted him out for another go at his prediction.
Actually, Pence will resign first to save face, and then the new Vice President Ryan will become the President when Trump gets on the helicopter to leave.
Nothing Trump does will satisfy the hyenas who want him dead.
Yes!
Bannon will soon join forces with George Will.
I curious to know about the validity of the claim that Bannon was a right wing nationalist. It's all a little vague. I know that Bannon ran Breitbart's old website for a time. And I know that at some point the Alt-Right claimed the Breitbart site as a home, but I don't know specifics. Can anyone fill me in?
He's the one who advocated for the Charlie Manson doctrine of social domestic policy.
Hah! Hyperbole much?
Bannon says he resigned two weeks ago. There should be a written record.
Liberals can remove any member of Trump's entourage that they wish simply by writing a book claiming that the targeted entourage member is either the mastermind behind Trump's election or the brains (cough, cough) behind his presidency, or both.
The job security of entourage members is now entirely dependent on the writing schedule of liberals.
"People claimed he was a sort of an eminence grise"
More an "eminence gros"
Nothing Trump does will satisfy the hyenas who want him dead.
Don't want him dead, want him gone. #ResignNow
Trumps firing of Bannon seems to have little to do with his critics and more to do with the Trump ego, and perhaps the Military push back against Bannon's isolationist policy the truth telling about Korea.
Brookzene has the sads because democrats were idiots. Hillary? bahahaha
The person Trump can not afford to lose right now is Kelley. That gives the general a lot of leverage in the turf wars. We will see if that leverage can apply with Ivanka and Jared. Once they get back from vacation.
"Trump fired Bannon because he is egotistical and didn't like Bannon taking credit for things that Trump felt he deserved credit for."
"Trump is claiming he fired Bannon when Bannon really resigned. Trump is egotistical so can't accept that someone would resign. Therefore he insists he said "You're fired!" First."
Same person.
“The guy who ghost wrote Trump's book is now saying that Trump will resign.”
Old news. That guy said that he tried to put lipstick on a pig. Not quite blood-red pig lipstick, because the Art of The Deal must look bloodlessly good. Trump already has resigned. Trump is a man who attended U.S. property actions for the Presidency in distant background chairs for a few election cycles with many books, not just one, and then Trump accidentally sneezed at the 2016 presidential auction, and Trump's sneeze accidentally bought the Presidency, and he hasn’t known what to do with it ever since (admitting that he didn’t think he’d win), and Trump has eternally retreated to more familiar Trump owned properties, where he properly has familiar ownership, his true homes ever since his accidental auction purchase, but not wanting the job – not as a job.
Please don't throw me into the briar patch!
You know, if God would just give us a sign to impeach Trump. Maybe blot out the sun for a few minutes, and then we'll know what to do.
Brookzene said...

Don't want him dead, want him gone.
I don't even want him gone. I want him contained, so that he can't do any more damage. The presidency temporarily shift towards a purely ceremonial position and the Donald can get in touch with his emotionally empathetic side as he settles into a role much like that of the Queen of England.
It's possible for something to be true even if CNN said it.
"Don't want him dead, want him gone. #ResignNow"
How peaceful of you. But once it's clear he will not resign (it's already clear I think) you have to hand The Resistance over to its killers. There are quite a few, some self declared but the more dangerous not. If they act I'm sure you will deplore the violence. You may not even realize that the entire "Resistance" had a hand in it.
You may also not realize that murdering Trump would only make him stronger. Not as an individual of course. He would be dead. But the electorate won't be dead.
“The guy who ghost wrote Trump's book is now saying that Trump will resign.”
If he's got some free time he can probably whip out a bunch of books and decimate Trump's entire entourage. Like shooting fish in a barrell. The publication schedule for each book should be timed to the day after the firing of the previous recipient of an in-depth look at their role in Trump's success.
No need to even change the titles: "Trump, My Role in His Success: (place name here)"
Hah! Hyperbole much?
Only a little.
"The longer they talk about identity politics, I got ’em. I want them to talk about racism every day. If the left is focused on race and identity, and we go with economic nationalism, we can crush the Democrats."
That was Charlie's strategy, He wanted to create a race war. Bannon wanted to "crush the Democrats."
Chaos!!!!
..well, at least on the internet.
It's kinda like a reality tv show with pulsating music and quick cuts and conflicts and, wait, all that shit is pretty much scripted????
"I want him contained, so that he can't do any more damage."
Perfectly expressed. You don't want the winner to be able to implement policy on the issues that got him elected. I have not seen a better or more concise description of the goals of the left.
Brookzene has the sads because democrats were idiots. Hillary? bahahaha
Lol. This is so typical of you goofs though.
"Woo hoo, Steve Bannon..."
"HILLARY'S EMAILS!!!'
What credit should Trump get, if he fired Bannon for calling the alt-right losers and clowns? Now if Bannon was already fired when he said that, well played Steve Bannon.
Trump's sneeze accidentally bought the Presidency, and he hasn’t known what to do with it ever since (admitting that he didn’t think he’d win), and Trump has eternally retreated to more familiar Trump owned properties, where he properly has familiar ownership, his true homes ever since his accidental auction purchase, but not wanting the job – not as a job.
Not an entirely implausible theory I guess. Didn't Trump say at some point that the job was harder than he thought it would be (or something along those lines)? And he may have doubted his chances of winning at various points during the election cycle, but I'm not convinced that he didn't believe that there was at least a pretty damn good chance of it happening in the end.
I don't think his "retreating" to owned properties is necessarily indicative of anything other than him wanting to be comfortable. He doesn't seem to like the White House much as a residence. But that's hardly a new thing, plenty of Presidents disliked the White House as a home.
Who knows though? He could end up resigning. It'd certainly be in keeping with his radical, convention breaking nature.
Trump has already signed an executive order against the upcoming solar eclipse for eclipsing Trump in the polls, but depending on local conditions affecting optics, viewers may see signs of a few blood-red aural spectra, and maybe even a nimbus pig in blood sausage lipstick, with an orange pompadour corealous, that is, if the sign-granting heavens have a sense of non-violent humor.
So now Bannon will be outside the tent pissing in, rather than inside the tent pissing in.
Does this mean that Hillary become president?

;-)
There's a Bannon St. in Sacramento next to the water treatment plant that will have to be renamed.
"So now Bannon will be outside the tent pissing in, rather than inside the tent pissing in."
Think "fire hose."
It won't make a difference. But good I'm glad he's gone. Next up Stephen Miller and the Hungarian Nazi Gorka.
Don't have an opinion on him. Trump can hire/fire who he likes, far as I'm concerned. I'm aware he hires people to accomplish specific tasks, not for permanent offices. He made an analogy once about building a house or some such where he hired a mason long enough to do his job and move on. Not to keep him on the payroll indefinitely.
For all I know his internal tasks are complete and he's now more valuable out in the 'verse.
Members of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities have all resigned because the bad art they wanted taken down was not endorsed by the president.
I know they will suffer now, because they can't use the White House letterhead in their future schemes, and art regulation.
Breitbart is using the hashtag #war right now.
Several are taking this to mean Breitbart is going to war with the trump administration.
Obama wins third term, Bannon out at Trump White House,
https://www.jihadwatch.org/2017/08/obama-wins-third-term-bannon-out-at-trump-white-house
I trust Robert Spencer’s judgment on matters Islam.
The law in Nebraska is that if Bannon's supervisor made known to him that if he didn't resign then he would be fired, he was then discharged. One can only resign voluntarily.
...in the interview, which people close to Mr. Bannon said he believed was off the record....
If anyone in the Trump administration believes that any conversation is (and will stay) off the record, they deserve to be fired.
Can someone(s) define what is a "Right Wing Nationalist".
Just labeling someone like Bannon a RWN....means nothing unless you define your terms. Without a definition, we are unable to determine the reality behind the news. It is just chaff at this point.
"So now Bannon will be outside the tent pissing in, rather than inside the tent pissing in."
That's a point but I doubt he will do that.
He was the source of a lot of Trump's good ideas and strategy.
The generals know nothing about winning elections.
The war on staff described by Kimberly Strassel today, will not stop and will limit the people he cam recruit to run the government.
He has weakened his administration with firing Bannon.
The Propaganda Media have unanimously taken down the Evil Bannon face shots and replaced them with genial Santa Claus Bannon shots. And every commenter now stresses that Bannon and Bannon alone wrote Trump's pro worker campaign that stole away the Blur Collar Midwestern States from the Dems. Ergo: Trump just lost those votes by firing Bannon.
The Wishful Thinking is amazing. Bannon must have written Trump's speeches the year before he was hired...maybe they met at night in a parking garage.
Republicans are *never off the record.*
Groups like Fusion GPS or whatever however can refuse to even go on the record for a Congressional investigation.
Cause, you know, stuff.
"He has weakened his administration with firing Bannon"
Oh the schadenfreude is flowing through me today!
FTR: Running a Businessman against the politicians was not Bannon's idea. It was David Perdue's idea. Trump takes the best ideas wherever he finds them.
"Can someone(s) define what is a "Right Wing Nationalist"."
-- In a year or so, the NYT will define it using the most extreme versions available, while decrying that people like Bannon, who are not Nazis or violent, were chased out of their own group.
You know, like how Milo is no longer alt-right according to them, now that Nazis own the phrase.
Oh the schadenfreude is flowing through me today!

Hillary Clinton is still not the President of the United States.
And never will be.
That fills me with schadenfreude every day.

Brilliant response. You probably think you're smart.
I miss the soaring rhetoric of president O-bullshitter, and am happy Iran's crazy Mullahs are closer to a nuke.

He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to CNN.
Can someone(s) define what is a "Right Wing Nationalist".
Unfortunately, this species has failed to maintain itself in captive-breeding programs. This is also true of the well-known but relatively rare White Winged Parakeet.
Chief of Staff John Kelly may have said, "It's either me or him" and it was done! I can't wait to hear what Bannon will be singing through Breitbart. Bannon said a while back that if he was fired he would sing like a bird. LOL.
We will see what happens - either really good or bad. It may be a better for Bannon to be outside, and influence Trump through calls and running Breitbart. Bannon gets the culture war, which Trump gets through an instinctive level at a tactical level. Perhaps this will help get legislation through. I believe that Bannon is a large part of the reason that Trump is President. Since Trump's reelection is not for a while, his role may not be necessary.
Trump does learn fast, and he is figuring out DC. Perhaps this way Bannon can go into the culture war in the open, using Breitbart. This may actually be a win win for all involved.

Another good option would be a reverse 'Wag the Dog'. They create a TV show in which Trump is still the President and they pipe it into the White House. It would have to have a lot channels since Trump has a short attention span. I think we have reached the point where everyone would go along with this, in the best interests of the nation. Could call it 'The Trumpman Show'. Bet it would get great ratings.
Trump is perfectly happy believing he is still president and the rest of us can breathe easy. Win, win.
Trumps White House starting to resemble The Apprentice with every firing.
Andrew Breitbart understood the corruption that is JOHN PODESTA.
That's why anything related to Breitbart must labeled bad, evil, racist, what have you.
People are reacting as if Bannon was the only thing keeping Trump from becoming Obama 2.0 with regards to foreign policy. They seem to believe that now Trump will reverse his positions on stuff like the Iran deal and the like. They seem to believe that Trump can't do anything without Bannon. I'm curious to what's lead them to that way of thinking.
>And I know that at some point the Alt-Right claimed the Breitbart site as a home, but I
>don't know specifics
The issue is what perceived version of the Alt-Right. At the time, Bannon's definition of the Alt-Right was not the GOPe (GOP Establishment, or the traditional way of doing business), but more of a conservative movement that was willing to fight fire with fire, and use Alinsky tactics back at the Left.
The current cultural definition being pushed by the MSM is Alt-Right is related to White Supremacist. Which makes no mention that Nazi is not right / conservative in politics, but very close to Communist. Nazi being Nationalist (National Socialist German Workers Party), Communists being Internationalists.

I'm curious to what's lead them to that way of thinking.
The fact that Trump has no coherent governing philosophy, no means to order his legislative priorities and listens to no one.
Now, I see a report he resigned two weeks ago.
I doubt Bannon will explain.
Gabriel Sherman twittered ...
Bannon friend says Breitbart ramping up for war against Trump. "It's now a Democrat White House," source says.
trump made a wise decision. i agree with it.
You lot are all fond of obsessing over the trivial. People in office are trivial, they are symbols and figureheads for underlying societies and interests.
I said long ago that Trump didn't have much of a chance, in spite of putting in a mighty effort.
The core of the problem is that you people simply hate each other with a white-hot intensity.
For instance, these comments. There is no good-will of any sort. If you were to meet in real life it would end in stabbings.
ARM, I am sure a NY Magazine writer has his finger on the pulse of the Trump WH.
"Right Wing Nationalist" and white nationalist is a way to call someone a racist without actually having to call them a racist. It's very sinister. Thanks a lot corrupt liberal media/democrats.
The fact that Trump has no coherent governing philosophy, no means to order his legislative priorities and listens to no one.
And yet his accomplishments pile up. Just because they are not things that you voted for, well, you lost. Keystone is being built, fracking continues apace, Hillary had vowed to make fracking very rare, when fracking has made us a net exporter of energy, I could go on. Dow is pretty high, unemployment pretty low, mostly due to cheap oil, and low gas prices putting money in the pockets of working people. I know you would prefer printing money, as that money gets sucked up by the hyper-wealthy, but there it is.
And just because you can't understand a "governing philosophy" doesn't mean there isn't one. It's just not one you would use to implement shit like single payer, I guess.
The fact that Trump has no coherent governing philosophy, no means to order his legislative priorities and listens to no one.
If all that's true, then certainly Bannon never would've or could've influenced anything. But people are behaving as if Bannon exerted some sort of powerful influence on Trump.
For instance, these comments. There is no good-will of any sort. If you were to meet in real life it would end in stabbings.
I'm about the most timid person you could imagine in real life.
Trump is perfectly happy believing he is still president and the rest of us can breathe easy. Win, win.
No, win lose, as in you win, others lose. I breathe easy knowing that Hillary the war-monger, influence peddler, and class snob against half the country is not president.
Not a lot of talk about how Mr Short Attention Span seems to have tamed North Korea, even if it was by scaring the shit out of the Chinese, so that they finally called off their dog.

Confusing sentence, you put in 'a mighty effort' or Trump? Because from where I sit Trump has done diddly squat.
Brilliant response. You probably think you're smart.
Probably.
If the only media you read and take seriously is media dedicated to the destruction of the Trump presidency, and ultimately his impeachment, it's likely you would have a skewed view of how America views him.
Fun fact: Trumps favorable rating is identical today to the day he was elected president.
" If you were to meet in real life it would end in stabbings."
It might with some commenters but when Cathy Seipp was alive and ran her blog we all went to lunch to meet each other. There were about 8 or 10 commenters and several were very far left.
Some of it is the Trump election but the worst of the commenters were no better before Trump appeared.
Some here are just keyboard commandoes.
Trump has done diddly squat.
Hasn't put through any major tax increase or huge spending programs? Awww....

I can't get too worked up about it. Next week, the media and the Left will be screeching about something else and Trump will still be president.

This is true but Bannon kept the true believers onside. While Bannon was there it seemed possible that at least some parts of the 'Trump agenda' might still get done, remember Bannon's famous white board. Now, it's a bunch of technocrats, New Yorkers and family members of no fixed ideology. Captain Queeg on a rudderless ship.
They seem to believe that now Trump will reverse his positions on stuff like the Iran deal and the like.
As far as I can tell Trump's position on Iran deal so far is the same as...Obama's. Except for the early bluster.
And just because you can't understand a "governing philosophy" doesn't mean there isn't one. It's just not one you would use to implement shit like single payer, I guess.
Excellent summary, Tim.
Trump has done what he can do. McConnell and Ryan have done nothing. Here we go for another Continuing Resolution when the GOP has had four years to get back to normal business.
Now, I see a report he resigned two weeks ago.
I think it's probably likely Bannon tendered his resignation 2 or 3 weeks ago, and Trump refused it. Today Trump decided to accept it.
Bannon said he was only going to serve 8 months anyway, I believe.
For instance, these comments. There is no good-will of any sort. If you were to meet in real life it would end in stabbings.
I'd definitely prefer to have a beer with any of you.
I'm about the most timid person you could imagine in real life.
I'll protect you, Nonopod.
“No one knows who gave the order. When I heard it, I wasn’t angry; I knew Moe, I knew he was head-strong, talking loud, saying stupid things. So when he turned up dead, I let it go. And I said to myself, this is the business we’ve chosen; I didn’t ask who gave the order, because it had nothing to do with business!”
Unfortunately this very much as to do with Democratic business. I hope the rumors are true that Bannon is gonna return to Brietbart and take hammer and tong to this WH which is betraying the DJT voter.
7 months in, not one brick in the Wall. But a McMaster is in charge of national security. Obamacare still the law. DJT’s coming up short.
"Trump has done diddly squat."
Sure he has. You've just been too busy screaming and pissing over tweets and the neo-Nazi Takeover of the US and two scoops of ice cream to realize it:
"The Trump administration is apparently cutting enough red tape to start a ticker tape parade. Tasked with a goal of cutting two regulations for every new one enacted, the administration has gone on a tear, slashing rules at a rate of 16 to one in its first six months.
Neomi Reo, the new administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Office of Management and Budget, has called this first half-year’s actions “a beginning” and noted that the OMB is going after the “regulatory state.”
NK backed down and we got Gorsuch.
I voted for Trump because of SCOTUS. I'm looking forward to his next pick.
ARM: "Because from where I sit Trump has done diddly squat."
It's your fault for choosing that spot upon which to sit. Ignorance is most invincible when chosen freely, as in your case.

I'd bring my liberal cousin with me to serve as taster.
I want Trump to come out and say:
"The alt right are garbage people, they have nothing to do with me."
"Richard Spencer is a garbage human".
After that, how can the leftist media spin their Trump=Nazi narrative?
I honestly thought Trump could beat the media. How naive I was.
"Confusing sentence, you put in 'a mighty effort' or Trump? "
Trump of course. His campaign, among other things, was an incredible display of personal energy.
In Washington every mans hand is against him, because he really does represent all that which is inimical to the Washington system. That system will destroy Trump, and will destroy you.
Which is why I am hedging abroad. A lot of good it will do probably, because if the US catches a cold the rest of the world will get dengue.
Everyone in manufacturing, engineering and production has certainly felt the positive impacts.
The Trump Manufacturing Council was not available for comment.
I honestly thought Trump could beat the media. How naive I was.
Oh, the media made him fire Bannon?
Some of you guys just don't believe in personal responsibility.
"The Trump Manufacturing Council was not available for comment."
Because they understand who the powers-that-be are. Business executives are timid creatures and in public matters will take no risks.
They will only be candid with people they utterly trust.
The atmosphere of fear and constraint is normal in the executive suites.

Brookzene makes a point.
Other people make a counterpoint.
Brookzene does not counter, just raises an unrelated point.
What do we conclude?
No intention to engage on the part of Brookzene.
This is the result of plain enmity, not an interest in discussion.
What would happen in person under these circumstances?
Not, I think, an encounter that would go well.

Well, there is a first time for everything. Congratulations Brookzene.

It wasn't the Right.
I made a point. Buwaya made a counterpoint that I didn't quite understand so I ignored it.
Buwaya cried about me to everyone.
Damn, I'm sorry!
Hard to say if this is good or bad, but I lean towards good. Trump continues to outwit the media and the left, and making them show their true colors. Whether he can overcome the inertia/resistance of the Republican establishment is the real issue.
When was the last time a Lefty here screamed "Russia!"? Amazing coincidence that they all stopped at once. And with all that overwhelming "evidence," too!
Now get rid of Nazi Gorka.
Darrell - Mueller's grand jury is proceeding. Just because we don't hear about it everyday doesn't mean Russia-gate isn't a thing. It's very much a thing.
Keep hoping, Alex. And eat another bag of d*cks.
Mueller is very important.
Hiring a bunch of Leftist lawyers: unimportant.
Losing a top FBI investigator: unimportant.
All the one-sided assumptions are amusing.
I have no opinion on this because I have no idea what actually transpired. Maybe Bannon's out because he completed his assigned tasks. Maybe they have something on him. I don't know, the media is not likely to enlighten me and all this palace intrigue shit bores the hell out of me.
This seems like a big problem for the White House's messaging on North Korea. Trump seems to be a fan of his underlings engaging in infighting, but this undercuts Trump on a matter of significant importance.
Even if Bannon is absolutely right.
Its not the Republican establishment that's the problem, but the owners of both establishments.
The Republicans (such as Rubio) aren't acting in politically prudent ways, as their base and the attached sympathisers that elected them disagree with them. But its likely that this behavior corresponds with personal interests.
They are doing it in order to please their financiers. At one time this was simply a matter of having sufficient campaign funds, back when the mass media made campaigning using the mass media expensive. But this hasn't really been true since Cantor was removed in a primary. These days it seems to be mainly about belonging to the group that is to be personally rewarded via multiple indirect means.
This has become a custom, that of rewarding politicians and public officials post-retirement.
Alex: "Russia-gate isn't a thing. It's very much a thing."
Explain to everyone what the "very much a thing" is related to "Russia-gate". Try to be precise.
I would strongly recommend you not use the "17 intelligence agencies" talking point.
For obvious reasons.

Yup, sometimes I don't understand everything that someone says in the comments.

In America, the national socialists, fascists, and other collectivists and monopolists are far left, but the mainsteam left, including liberals, support a progressive form of bigotry including: color diversity, selective-child, and redistributive change, presumably because the "Jews" have too much.

Darrell - Mueller's grand jury is proceeding. Just because we don't hear about it everyday doesn't mean Russia-gate isn't a thing. It's very much a thing.
After Mueller resigns in disgrace we can see if Powers, Rhodes, Rice or Brennan want to knock a few years off their plea deal by fingering Barry.
The only way you will take Trump out is to separate him from his base.
There are 2 people in this country that have the power to do that: Conway and Bannon. After the deep state and the democrat media have smashed themselves trying this is the one weakness Trump really has, and he might be able to survive Conway. Sh has been very low key.
But if Bannon stands up and says Trump is working with swamp creatures like Cohn and McMasters to push the Neocon foreign policy agenda and is conspiring to keep the borders open and lied about the wall Trump is finished.
Trump has outsmarted the entire establishment so far. But he has a big enough Ego to possibly overlook this I guess. I doubt he doesn't see this though.

I'm concerned that this plot has become too complicated to fit into a single oscar-winning film.
When you've lost Achilles ...
"After Mueller resigns in disgrace we can see if Powers, Rhodes, Rice or Brennan want to knock a few years off their plea deal by fingering Barry."
Hahahahaha! Keep hope alive!
Trump loves his Oligarchs, he won't dump them for Bannon and the base.
"Sometimes I consider who it is and decide it's just not worth it anyway."
Any excuse to save your self-image.
Hillary loved the oligarchs. It's historical record now.
Trump is accomplishing a lot while the left obsesses on Russia , then the KKK and next will be something else. Probably racism.
Meanwhile manufacturing is staring to come back.
City Journal has a pretty good piece on Chinese Mercantilism in this issue.
The solutions are much as Trump has suggested.
The CEOs who "bravely" quit the Trump council are all kowtowing to China which is stealing their technology,
I doubt Trump is going to resign over Charlottesville. I'm going to assume that the recent calls for his resignation after Charlottesville are due to the belief that he is a Nazi-sympathizer, and run with that.
First off, if he is literally Hilter, then dictators don't resign, and Hitler would not resign because people called him a Nazi-sympathizer. So if he is literally Hitler, and thus a Nazi-sympathizer, he's not going to resign.
Second, if he's not literally Hitler but he is a Nazi-sympathizer, then for all intents and purposes he would act like Hitler and not resign.
And third, if he's not literally Hitler and he's also not a Nazi-sympathizer he will not resign over Charlottesville. He's not going to resign and destroy his legacy over a false accusation. He's more likely to order all neo-nazis be arrested for being such pains in his ass.
As long as Trump is in office we will be seeing speculation and calls for him to resign. It could happen some day-- unless he is literally Hitler-- but I don't think it will be over this.

Sure there is.
Assemble 10,000 GBU-39 or GBU-53 Small Diameter Bombs. Possibly mixed with a few heavies or special stuff.
Assemble 32-96 heavy bombers to carry them.
Assemble DMPIs of all 10,000 artillery emplacements trained on Seoul.
Combine ingredients.
I'd fire him just for thinking that any conversation with a reporter is off the record.
