"It’s like Kelly [Ripa] has been betrayed all over again. Ryan [Seacrest] wasn’t her first choice, but she was convinced..."

"... by the [ABC] network that he would bring in a list guests and ratings.... Now she has found out that it is all about Idol and not really just about her!"
"Live! makes ABC a lot of money but it’s nothing compared to money that can be make in prime time.... She seems livid. Ryan knew all along what was going on, but once again, everyone kept her in the dark."
I'm glad to see that ABC is bringing back the Fox TV show "American Idol." Obviously, getting Ryan Seacrest — the one constant throughout the old series — was important, and it's interesting that he got the "Live!" job as part of a package deal. If Ripa was out of the loop and now feels betrayed and livid, she shouldn't let us see the pain. It just makes her look even weaker than she apparently was, and she's undercutting her own show and her network. But maybe this is part of a larger feminist issue about how the TV business is run — of a piece with all those complaints by women against Fox News that suddenly cascaded into the public view.

And maybe Kelly Ripa should just be grateful she makes so much money for doing so little. She is blessed with looks and a degree of charm. She has turned that into millions.

Kelly Ripa has a net worth of $75 Million, makes $20 Million/year and owns a $24 Million Penthouse in NYC.

So, I would classify this unfortunate challenge of hers as a "First World Problem"........

Women have so many needs.

Wait.

So a tv made a choice about a tv show based on ratings? That is indeed sexist.

Time for Kelly Ripa to reclaim Her Narrative with a leaked Sex Tape.

I am Laslo.

Anyone foolish enough not to know that tv is all about ratings and advertising dollars with no regard for personal loyalty has been living in an alternate universe. Welcome to Earth, Kelly.

The article uses "a list guests" when they should have used the more clearly spelled out "A-list guests".

Not that I should care that much about "American Idol" or Kelly Ripa, but this can only work if the new "Idol" is based in New York instead of L.A. (Then again, maybe that's just the kickstart it will need.)

From "Venezeula is starving" to "Kelly feels betrayed..."
The cruel neutrality of serious consequence of a people, to nothingness and drivel

Maybe ABC can let Kelly get her picture taken by that 750-year-old Royal Oak with Mick Jagger. That might help her calm down.

She could start by thanking Regis Philbin......

I always found Ripa repulsive.

Only person to see her pain is an unnamed source. If a man was left out of the loop, he might be pissed off also. Probably happens all the time regardless of sex.

Isn't being able to dish about Idol on a regular basis good for her show?

I only watch the auditions for Idol; it gets dull one they move to Hollywood.

The gems are in the auditions, and rarely are chosen.
