"Dear Congress... We demand... Signed, The Majority."

Smug liberalism is a problem: unfortunately, smug liberals will be the last identity group to admit it. In the meantime, Trump will be happy to continue profiting from the resentment said smugness inspires.

Well then, you would have to guess, Lewis. Because it's not like you ever ask and it's not like you're interested in really knowing anyway.

I actually am interested, R&B. You don't seem to have a coherent political philosophy, other than hatred for normal people. Hard to build a majoritarian movement on that, but go for it.

Wait.
I thought "Rhythm and Balls" was going to expound on all the beloved policies of Democrats.

They must be programs that are not plunging the nation into bankruptcy because of the demand for free shit, of course.

R&B is an interesting guy. He is clearly well schooled/versed in history and political philosophy. He is a big time backer of classical western civ and it's values and frequently chides others for not being more informed about the culture in which they live.

On the other hand....he does have a tendency to morph into the love child of Howard Zinn and Paul Begala.

He eventually comes out of it but it does force one to wade through some muck to get to the more interesting thoughts.

And it cannot be forgotten that R&B was absolutely merciless in his criticism of Hillary and what she represented.

Let's always keep that in mind as we hope for the best from our very own Sir L'Orange.

I disagree. I do not think that R&B is well schooled in history or political philosophy. I do not believe that R&B could write a few coherent paragraphs on why the scientific method could arise in the 16th century and could not have arisen the 6th century.

Lewis, I would take that bet, if for no other reason than to make it interesting.

Again, I think some of his hyperbole masks capabilities.

I could be wrong, but I trust my instincts.

Oh, and one more thing: Hillary Will never be President.

Hmm. I think it masks his insecurities. An intelligent guy, no doubt, but he is stuck in a liberal think feedback loop.
As I've said before. When he's sober, which isn't often, he can present his ideas well. Especially if its about something he knows well. Unfortunately his grasp of economics and conservatism is cartoonlike.

"Already we've seen a rise in hate crimes."

Yes, that is true. Just last night, for instance, I saw a report that a disabled white boy was kidnapped, beaten and tortured by 4 blacks in Chicago. He was forced to say "Fuck Trump" and "Fuck white people" while the blacks recorded it and posted it on Facebook. The Chicago police later found him wandering around in his underwear on the street. It's very cold in the upper Midwest. He's in the hospital now.

The cops do not believe it was a "hate crime" though. I would beg to differ.

There is also the incident where another white guy was beaten by a black crowd near Chicago simply because he was white and assumed to be a Trump voter. (He was but didn't tell them that. They just knew because - cracker.)

Those crimes were recorded by their perpetrators, who were proud of their actions.

In the meantime, the woman who said her hijab was pulled off by a Trump supporter on a NY subway train was revealed to be a liar. The burning of a black church by "white supremacists" was actually the work of a black member of the church.

Damn Trump for driving all these minority people to commit acts of violence against whites.

According to sunsong they're just demonstrating their love.

I question that assumption.

"Rhythm and Balls" is clearly well-schooled in modern university thinking. That means he knows very little that would impress an empiricist. His thinking is flabby because he has listened to flabby thinkers and internalized their foolhardiness.

And now that he has fully inculcated his way of thinking it has become part of how he defines himself. Allowing that self-image to be challenged would challenge the very core of his identity. Ordinary people cannot have these experiences publicly. These moments of crisis are too painful to allow others to observe.
