"Even if he weren't doing it to me, I wouldn't want to work in that environment. I sort of feel bad for Gretchen Carlson because it's sort of a weird thing that she's done. What she's alleging is something that is alien to me. I've never heard it."
Said Greta Van Susteren.

Sorry, but with that face she has nothing to worry about.
Well, Greta's probably not his type.
"I don't feel like putting up with that stuff and I wouldn't."
Pro-Choice.
I am Laslo.
Greta knows a thing or two about things that are alien.
"I sort of feel bad for Gretchen Carlson because it's sort of a weird thing . . . . " So is Greta out of sorts?
Ask Greta's lawyer.........$$$.
Gossip is Greta's bread and butter. If she hasn't heard about it, it ain't happening.
Well, Greta, I think "scientology" is "sort of a weird thing."
Hearing onetime that Van Susteren had "Clutch Cargo" lips cracked me up.
Here's one side-by-side comparison.
Litigators like Greta and Megyn would be off limits.
So Greta thinks Gretchen isn't telling the truth because Ailes never came on to her. Can she possibly be that self-unaware?
I imagine Carlson likely is telling the truth but chose to put up with it in defense of her career. I hope she gets some money out of it. About ten years ago an O'Reilly factor producer was paid hush money after it was clear she likely had recorded phone conversations.
Gold diggers gonna dig for gold.
Isn't it a pretty well known strategy of Fox News to hire blond bimbo types as anchors? Hell, Gretchen Carlson was valedictorian of her high school, an accomplished pianist, and a graduate of Stanford University but still played the Crissy Snow of Fox and Friends.
I like Van Susteren, is she not a Wisconsin grad? She is also an Officer of the Court so I think she can't lie, unless she is no longer "embarred" post a law career.
Greta is a sharp thinker and quick communicator and sticks to that talent. Gretchen is a submissive beauty pageant contestant who sticks to that talent. Megyn is a show off of sexual seductiveness and Diva Power.
Roger is a talent scout who uses each one for their talents.
Van Susteren is saying if she had heard Ailes was doing what is alleged, she would have left Fox.
She is saying she would stand on principle.
And her comments are nearly useless for deciding which side to believe in the filed lawsuit.
Greta is the normal one. I respect her opinion, but of course she can not really know.
A character witness notwithstanding, if there is a probable basis for the allegations, the investigation should continue.
That said, despite justice corruption, and special rights movements, the accused is presumed innocent.
that's a bit, harsh, elizabeth hasselbeck is the goofy one, not gretchen, and as compared to kimberly guilfoyle, yikes I probably 'inspired' lazlo's imagination,
Ailes must fall!
Rodham so decrees.
Get with the pogrom!!
@Birkel:
"Van Susteren is saying if she had heard Ailes was doing what is alleged, she would have left Fox."
That's entirely possible. And admittedly, I have not dug into the details of this story beyond the headlines and ledes. And while Carlson may be describing behavior on Ailes' part that is foreign to Van Susteren, I don't think that's sufficient for Van Susteren to conclude that the allegations are false. How many of Jerry Sandusky's friends, family, and acquaintances knew he was a predatory child molester?
Van Susteren's weak defense of Ailes as being the "first to put a woman in primetime" is similarly weak and meaningless to the topic at hand. Bill Clinton also appointed the first female Attorney General an first female Secretary of State. Does that have any bearing on the validity of the various sexual scandals that have plagued Clinton's career?
"Bill Clinton also appointed the first female Attorney General an first female Secretary of State."
I thought that Janet Reno was a man.

BEEP! BEEP!
SM fucking H.
It's pretty easy to see why it was so easy for Bill and Hillary to smear Bill's accusers.
Soon.
So Greta thinks Gretchen isn't telling the truth because Ailes never came on to her. Can she possibly be that self-unaware?
She's saying she never saw that aspect of his behavior at all. Not saying Gretchen lied, but that she never saw anything close to that with her or anybody she knew.
He might have done it. But I'll need evidence before I assume he did.
As I recall, with my imperfect memory, Hillary and company would claim that someone was "trailer park trash" or that Bill's accusers were the sort of people you could drag a thousand dollars on a string in front of and they'd just make a story up.
And with the ten or twenty women that over time claimed (or were alleged to have claimed privately) that Bill Clinton had made sexual advances toward them -- and by the way we are not talking about Bill hinting that he found them sexual attractive, no this is Bill dropping his pants and things of that nature -- anyways it was apparently standard ops for the White House or that portion of the White House controlled by Hillary to investigate every such person to find something damaging in their lives that the person didn't want revealed to everyone. Or just to make up a story about them.
Especially things like their previous sexual partners and such. And then threaten them with public humiliation through a compliant media.
Hillary Clinton's self-righteousness, vindictive nature, and the language used were, in my opinion, astonishing.
Van Susteren says she never heard of it. She has been at Fox for a good long time and you can't tell me the sisterhood does not have all the bosses precisely pegged for every little quirk they have and certainly anything pertaining to sex.
Van Susteren gave me the impression that she was on the lookout for that behavior--not wanting to work in, tie her reputation to, a place where that goes on.
Saying "We should have hooked up a long time ago (paraphrase)" is not sexual harassment, it's being an asshole. That's what Van Susteren should have led with.
Every lib wants to see Fox News fall. That eliminates the one voice not on the team.
Here are some other gals who have stories:

Presumably Greta will need to clarify what, for her, would pass as a believable indication that Ailes was doing this stuff.
My guess is that Greta will never decided there's enough evidence of wrong doing such that she'd follow through with her claim she'd leave the network.
Anywho, some folks think that the Murdoch sons may latch on to this to get rid of Ailes. If so, Greta won't have pressure to follow through w/ her claim she'd leave.
Presumably Greta will need to clarify what, for her, would pass as a believable indication that Ailes was doing this stuff.
These are six women over about 50 years. Not unreasonable to suspect Greta never heard about it.
Some makeup people were called "bitches." Probably by other females working at Fox. They aren't going to get any money, either. But the lib Media will keep looking for stories.
...that Ailes was doing this stuff
Yeah, stuff. Saying we should have hooked up a long time ago. Once.
you twit Greta, he wouldnt have chosen you
One of the women who has come forward worked for the RNC. All are older than Juanita Broaddrick was when she spoke out about the Clinton rape.
Not exactly your typical "gold diggers."
She is also an Officer of the Court so I think she can't lie...
Oh, good Lord! If lawyers weren't permitted to lie, they'd have nothing to say!
@Michael the Magnificent:
"Oh, good Lord! If lawyers weren't permitted to lie, they'd have nothing to say."
Just out of curiosity, do you have lots of examples ready at hand of lawyers knowingly telling lies?
Actually, the entire art of lawyering is bending the truth as far as you can without breaking it. It really does depend on what your definition of "is" is,
