What was really cool was when the touchy/killie alien space chick would have a mini-anxiety attack whenever she was prevented from killing the guy she was sent to kill.
I watched some truly awful movie from the 1960s the other night starring Dick Van Dyke and James Garner. Something about how they fake Van Dyke's death so his paintings would be worth more money.
There's a scene where Van Dyke jumps in the canal to save a suicidal woman from drowning but she fights him off so he gives her a karate chop to the shoulder rendering her immediately unconscious so he can rescue her.
Pretty believable stuff going on there. I wonder how many people saw the movie and then tried that in real life. Not many, would be my guess.
The most interesting thing about this, to me, is how instantly recognizable Keir Dullea is, even in black and white. I'd never heard of this film before.
It is funny- I have seen Dullea in exactly one movie (though he did do some Law and Order episodes in the 90s and 2000s), yet I always recognize him instantly whenever his face appears.
I have a vague recollection of a video of Althouse and Meade at a Capitol Square protest, and one of the many ill-mannered anti-Walker protesters invading their personal space, and either Ann or Laurence (rightly and calmly) reminding the offending protester about the elementary definition of assault and/or battery.
I had a borderline crazy girlfriend who looked a lot like Lisa at the time of the film. My name being David, much was made of this. Indeed I looked somewhat like David in the film, in the preppy waspy sense at least. We went to New York to see the movie. After the movie we acted out the Lisa stalking David scene. Except she touched me. Much sex ensued. First time that had ever happened to me.
Paul Snively et al, at and after 1052, I couldn't remember his name but, yes, instantly recognisable from the one movie (although Wikipedia notes his long career &c). A fortnight or so ago at the office, a new client was in & he seemed vaguely recognisable, although I'd never met him: forgot about it of course but now realise that it's because he looks remarkably like Dullea, circa 1970; the wonders & tricks of memory.
Fee Waybill's less strident objection seems more reasonable to me:
The smell of burning leather As we hold each other tight As our rivets rub together Flashing sparks into the night At this moment of surrender darling If you really care Don't touch me there
Ah, David and Lisa. We did the play in high school. I played a minor role of one of the kids in the -- what was it -- Berkley School for the Psychoneurotic.

Young Althouse is the woman at the end?
There was an episode of Star Trek TOS where super-accelerated Kirk could have been killed by a scratch from a fingernail.
Guess that pretty much ruled out banging the hot alien space-chick.
And that was a crying shame. LINK.
There was another episode where Lee Merriweather (sp?) killed humans by touching them on the shoulder, thus disrupting every cell in their bodies.
Hmmmm, maybe there's some sort of underlying theme going on there.
"I am for you, Captain Kames T. Kirk."
Bummer.

Hmmmmmmmm.
Maybe she was a robot or a hologram or something like that.

Extra Bonus Points: The actor who played Harry Mudd in Star Trek was in the movie playing a gallery owner or art purchaser.
See? It all comes together.
The internet never forgets. LINK.
Elke Sommer seemed a lot like Doris Day, to me, but I'm pretty unsophisticated when it comes to that sort of stuff.

That was exactly what I thought. One movie (more or less) and he's instantly recognizable.
Turnabout is fair play

Is my memory mistaken on that?
You Touched Me is a Tennessee Williams play and a D H Lawrence short story. So touch can also be a Love story.
But Trump's is a story of an Untouchable. Untouchable be bribery that is.

It's full of stars.

Gooooo BSP!
Is that the mother of April Ludgate in the final scene?
Because if she isn't, she should have been.
He played another famous Dave.
The mentally ill are role models for today's left.
