Inquires Nate Cohn.

The question seems to me to be whether Hillary Clinton is in danger of felony prosecution for breach of national security. The Petraeus Standard should be applied.

Ew, all I could think at first glance: is that graph atop the article supposed to also depict the lining of Hillary's panties right about now?

Also know as the post menopausal "Donald".

I'd say the dems have issues when it comes to candidates all round the corner, nevermind this election. The last 7 years have not been kind to them in terms of Governors either. Hillary is a poor candidate and her repeated false statements bring back the 1990's in a bad way, it's 2015 kids, i'd say at this point their only hope is Liz Warren if they want a chance to win.

james conrad said...

Sorry, the above post is the long way of saying, I think Bernie Sanders is more an anti Hillary vote than it is anything else, he has zero chance of being elected Prez and most Dem's realize this.

David Begley said...

I certainly hope so.

Hillary Clinton must be defeated.
Carthage must be destroyed.

Wake up people. The narrative has changed, and the media has changed it for a reason. Hillary is gone. It's that simple. The fire was too great, the building (Clinton's wife) is a total loss. Now the focus of all the emergency crews (media) has switched to save the rest of the block/city (Democrat party).

This has finally gotten BIG. This is now about Systemic Failure of Democrat leadership, policies, culture, and goals. In every corner of civil service, the people that interpret and enforce Government, are corrupt (like Clinton's wife).

This is not about Clinton"s wife violating laws concerning the handling of top secret intel. This is about the government of Democrat operatives handling of Clinton's wife. The FBI, State Dept (John Kerry, new entrant into the Democrat presidential race), the Intelligence agencies.

Every Republican candidate should all ignore Clinton's wife, and attack the systemic failure of Democrat leadership. The should all attack Kerry. He is the top man at the State Dept. He is failing to run that agency. The agency is non functioning and that is because Democrats cannot manage, or operate anything. Their governance model is unworkable.

This is not about Clinton's wife.

This is about the failure of Democrat governance.

The article is more wishful thinking than analysis. The email scandal isn't going to go away and it isn't going to stop with Hillary.
The kids are getting the Bern. The blacks aren't as likely to turn out in the record numbers they did for Obama and none of the policies if you can call them that that the Democrats are proposing are actually going to improve the economy. In the end what is Hillary going to campaign on? More of the last 8 years but in even purer and stronger terms? Yeah, that will work.

Jaq said...

OK, so Hillary is going to win the primary because the billionaires say so and she is going to win the general election because Democrats are going to swallow hard (unlike Monica) and vote for her, not because they like her, but because she is the Democrat, and in the opinion of the NYT, that means she is going to win.

IDK, this smells of desperation to me that she has to order up an editorial like this and says to me that all of the pro-Hillary opinion this guy cites among his friends in Manhattan, there is fear to be calmed by order of the mother ship.

There is a small chance Hillary won't be the Dem nominee, she may die before the vote. Otherwise it is all over. It was a foregone conclusion immediately after Obama beat her back in 2008. She was a team player then and gets her reward now.

I think I'll change my name to Nate. Then people will take my political analysis seriously.

Which Republican analog is she? Bob Dole or Richard Nixon?

When her e-mails are "found," it will be about her (their) financial arrangements.

I don't know about the primary, but Hillary is more likely to spend January 21, 2017 in jail than in the White House.

I don't know if that's ever happened to anybody before," said Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez, who was the Badgers' coach that night.

Of course, the power outage sparked conspiracy theories, some of which exist today.

Much of the suspicion is due to the heavy betting from the many Badgers fans who made the trip and pushed the spread from between 3 and 4 points to 7 for their favorite team.

When the lights went out, 7:41 remained in the game -- 2:41 away from making it an official result for the sports books. Thus, the Wisconsin fans who put money on their team to cover did not get paid winnings, but were simply refunded whatever they bet.

I can't decide which post this story fits with better: Clinton acting the criminal and getting away with it, or Vegas.

Subjects of sleaze in locales of corruption. Lots of liars willing to Lyle Alzedo the truth for the cause. Worst of all, people buy it. They take it. Cue Bizzaro "We're Not Gonna Take it!" again.

"She was a team player then and gets her reward now."

Yes, and Obama knows what's in those e-mails and where the "reset" button is to send her to prison for ten years. If she even twitches like she is going rogue on Iran, the button gets pushed.

She knows that. So does Putin.

James Pawlak said...

Will the applicable "Statute Of Limitations" allow a GOV appointed AG to prosecute her for the noted felonies?

Mick said...

That she is even considered and insists that she should be POTUS indicates how far gone the Republic is. There is no law when the executor of the laws is an illegal entity.

MadisonMan said...

Look, she has to make a credible run for President to satisfy all the Foreign Donors to Clinton Cash for Contacts International. I think she's almost accomplished that, so she can go back and say "Give us 100s or thousands more, we still have contacts -- well, Bill does -- and when I'm out of jail, I'll help you too."

Jaq said...

She was a team player then and gets her reward now.

Reasonable recognize that the billionaires decide who gets the nomination.

Chris N said...

Mick, I hear Hillary's father was born on a boat in international waters. THEY don't want you to know.

Report back here in two years. RUBICON5

"This is about the failure of Democrat governance"

Amen, Brother. That's exactly what this and future elections should be about. The "Blue State" model of governance is a failure. The inner cities where Dems have full political power, after having destroyed Republican opposition, are a shambles. Look at the murder rates of Chicago. Look at Detroit. That's what the Dems are trying to do to the rest of the country.

There's always Michelle. She's a two-fer: African-American and Vagino-American. Any opposition to her will automatically be labeled both racist and sexist. She's rested from multi-million taxpayer financed vacations. She's likely an even bigger socialist than Bernie Sanders and isn't an old white guy to boot. You can rest assured that the Press and the cool kids would quickly fall in line to support her.

If she is,and Bernie Sanders is the nominee, the dems are in real trouble. Unless Sanders can actually win, in which case WE are in real trouble. I can't fathom that dems would become the socialist party, but if that's where they want to go, more power to them.

Me, Starchild and Rasta Dale are setting up a diverse homeless encampment/community garden/wind farm B and B and we're hoping Hillary will run it.

-Rasta Dale has formed his own union and apparently works 2 hrs a day now
-Starchild is trying to sell the wind farm to shady oversees interests.
-We could use another woman to balance things out

This email scandal is a big deal. She's sent top secret information through a poorly secured private email server for corrupt political reasons. The likelihood that foreign governments now have this information because they hacked her email server is very high. This is very close to treason. At best she's mind-numbingly stupid, assuming she has America's interest in mind, which is not obvious. In a honorable country she would have little support and would drop out of the race. She might even flee the country.

Sad day when Richard Nixon looks very good in comparison.

"I think Bernie Sanders is more an anti Hillary vote"

No. He attracts true believers. The hard left has gotten stronger in the Democratic Party. There was a reason Debbie Waterbrain Schultz, clueless though she is, could not readily distinguish Dems from socialists.

Most likely, the Dem nominee will be whoever O wants.

Let's read his mind, shall we?

He wants: 1. a winner 2. someone who will not overshadow his "legacy" and 3. someone who will leave him in charge of the Dems after he leaves office.

Hillary! has a problem on 1. and 3., possibly 2. Plus she's a despicable Clinton, though Chicago thugs could live with that.

Bernie has a problem on 1.

Liz could win but has a problem on 2., probably 3. O will try to keep her out but she's the one person he can't fully control.

Algore has a problem on 1.

Slow Joe needs a boost on 1., but is safe on 2. and 3. Hook him up with Deval Patrick or a wise Latino/a and he has a shot.

John F. Kerry? He had his chance. Not gonna happen.

Dark horse candidate: Michelle. Perfect fit on all counts. No sign she wants it yet. The moment she does, the O machine will be all in. Suddenly, dynasties will be perfectly fine and reasonable.

Actually, combined with a formidable GOTV machine, this is exactly what is going to happen. Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't understand the lessons of 2012. The notion that Democrats would sacrifice their power to some notion of justice, ethics, legality or national security is absolutely laughable.

Michelle Obama does seem like a good candidate. Pretty, tall, fit, great speaker, popular among millennials, black, female, sharp. And it has happened before: a wife of a POTUS became the front-runner, twice, with nothing to recommend her and everything to disqualify her.

Michelle could win this thing.

Nowadays you have to say "Is the Pope a doctrinaire, brain dead socialist?" if you want to indicate a sure thing.

Yes, yes, Hillary is getting her reward now, good and hard. Obama is a cold-blooded b*st*rd, stringing her along like this -- I almost admire the cut of his jib.

With her private server finally turned over to the FBI and found to be "professionly scrubbed clean", the best advice for Hillary is to forget about her candidacy and hire the best team of criminal attorneys she can find.

Brando said...

I think it takes one good crack and the Clinton facade goes down. Very few people really want her as president, and once it looks like the GOP could really beat her, Dems have no reason to fall on their swords for her. If DOJ prosecutes her, it's all over.

Real American said...

no. Democrats have proven over and over again that they're more than willing to countenance lawbreakers within their own ranks.
