"Anyone who's tried to woo a lover via the Internet knows what she's referring to. The net artist uncovered an assortment of selfies and sexts she'd accumulated over the years that, for one reason or another, she was too afraid to actually send. Until now.... Most of the negative opinions lodged against Soda either condemned the piece as narcissistic, pretentious and juvenile, or straight-up slut-shamed her.... Whether or not you're a fan of the artwork itself, there does seem to be some archaic expectations of privacy and propriety in the air that cause a project like this to provoke such seething reactions. And while women can be critical of each other and their work, spewing hate on each other's work and dubbing it 'not feminist' is probably, well, not very feminist..."

is she pretty?
She quarantined the Crazy for as long as she could. Crazy always defeats the barriers.

Baby, it's me.
Please don't delete this before reading it, and please don't delete the attachments. But don't look at the attachments yet. Please.
Anyway, I have tried to be good when you said it was over, but I have all these memories inside me. And they are OUR memories, really: you were there for all of them, right beside me. Or on top and then behind me, if you remember that night after your brother's party ;)
I should have let you do anal: I know that now. It is never too late, in fact if you were here with me right now I'd let you do anal, with me bent over the table: isn't that what you wanted? It could still be...
I know I got a little crazy there at the end: I know that. It's just that I could feel you slipping away, and I just KNEW you were using Internet Porn but now I understand why: I can be like those girls, too -- really I can!!
Remember that time when we were at the hotel at the coast and I wouldn't swallow so you came all over my face and I got so mad? I'm so sorry. I was listening to a lot of advice from my girlfriends and now I know they were wrong, they were just jealous of what we had...
And I know I put on a bit of weight at the end: I know that. It was just because I was depressed, but now I now I shouldn't have been depressed, I should've been happy with what we had. Anyway, I've been going to the gym and dieting: you can look at the attached pictures now.
See?
I'm thin again! And the selfie of me with the cucumber in my ass shows that I am ready for you now and open to anything -- in fact, you could consider it an INVITATION!
Anyway, I know it might be awkward to get together now, especially after the car thing (and I saw your car in your parking lot recently -- it looks like they fixed the paint real good!) -- maybe we could just have lunch sometime, no pressure, just us, together, and we can talk: I have SO MUCH I want to tell you...
Please call me. Or text, whichever. I can't wait to hear from you...
I am Laslo.
Let's do away with words like "vapid" and "desperate" when describing female artists who work with their own naked bodies
Let's not. Instead, lets take the people declaring certain words off-limits out back and shoot them dead. So sick of these feminist Nazis.
Unknown: actually, yes.
95% of the time, when you see the words "performance art," you can replace the word "performance" with "inane."
The ink under each one of her breasts is certain to provide a useful point of reference.
Could she be a feminist without the nose ring, and tattoos?
Subject: I Know You Are Busy...
Importance: High
I know you are busy at work -- remember all those times I would complain about your long hours? Boy, was I ever wrong to be mad about that, you hard-working man, you-- but I thought I'd take some to time to write you again, even though you haven't responded to my last email.
Good news!
Remember my friend Tricia? The one I always accused you of desiring after? Well, it isn't a done deal yet, but -- fingers-crossed! -- I think she is going to agree to a threesome with us when we are back together! I just know you would LOVE that! Just don't forget about me when we are all naked together - Ha!
Let me know when you have some time free...
I am Laslo.
Subject: Are you there?
Importance: High
I know you never wanted to talk about this, but I can't help it if I feel that your reluctance to get in touch with me relates to that time on the coast when you shit the bed.
I've never told anyone, I PROMISE! Not one of my Girlfriends, or anybody you know. It was just an accident, and I shouldn't have made such a big deal about waking up to shit in the bed. As they say. Shit Happens! ;)
As long as I know that we will be back together again I would never tell anyone that secret. I hope this reassures you...
Waiting to hear from you...
I am Laslo.
"...straight up slut shamed her." What does this mean? Shouldn't sluts be ashamed of themselves?
"And while women can be critical of each other and their work, spewing hate on each other's work and dubbing it 'not feminist' is probably, well, not very feminist"
This assumes that all women actually want to be in her little knitting-circle of self-censorship.
Where women are permitted to be critical of other women, but only in ways that have been pre-approved by the Party as properly advancing Revolutionary Truth.
Do guys actually like girls' tattoos and body piercings ?
So she has inked herself, pierced herself, doesn't shave too much, and can't keep her room clean.
What is not to want?

Yes, but not hers.
Has she outed herself yet as a member of a New Guinea or sub-Saharan tribe? I hear that is so hot nowadays. That and changing her name to Racial. -CP
Tattoos and body hair, I can understand. I have yet to meet anyone who finds the kind of nose piercing which goes through the middle part, anything but unattractive. This applies to both men and women so unwise as to choose this adornment.
95% of the time, when you see the words "performance art," you can replace the word "performance" with "inane."
I think you can replace the whole term with "I want people to see me naked"
So the point we are learning, between this, Emma Sulkowicz, and Lena Dunham is.....women want to be seen naked, but only positive comments are allowed. But not too positive, because that would seem like you are objectifying them. But not so negative that it seems like you are criticizing them. Best to stick with talking about their bravery, but not in a way that sounds like they are being brave because their naked photos are unflattering.
Also, it's art.

Only in that they are a quick tell that the girl tends to make bad choices. The guy figures he has a pretty good chance of being her next bad choice.
Do guys actually like girls' tattoos and body piercings?
I don't. Don't like ear gauging or a multitude of ear piercings either.
If someone voluntarily shows nude pictures of themselves, why claim they are immune from criticism.
If I published pictures of myself nude, any response not between "ahhh, my eyes!" and "he's a lumpy dork" would be a crock of shit (I do have a nice ass though.)
My oldest daughter has tattoos and gauged her ears. I told her they tool stupid, though I still love her. She accepts that (it even makes her laugh.)
""And while women can be critical of each other and their work, spewing hate on each other's work and dubbing it 'not feminist' is probably, well, not very feminist...""
Others, critics of certain veins of feminism, might say that this kind of hate spewing is exactly in keeping with feminism.
The best part is that she obviously has photoshopped some of them to make the curve of her hips and waist perfect.
Best quote of Molly: "It's not about me . . ."
"Shouldn't sluts be ashamed of themselves?"
The whole point is that they should not be shamed for their sexual neediness/adventurism/whateveryoucallit.
This rule does not apply to Republican, Fundamentalist or other conservative sluts.

And not on Tuesdays or alternating Fridays. That would be rapey.
The post about the NSFW nude photos garnered 2.5 times more comments and presumably attention than the previous post advertising uplifting photos of arches in Scotland. Only 2.5. This is a classy crowd.
I'm going to write a play about myself. My successes and my failures. But it isn't a play about me. It's a play about anyone who has ever wanted to write a play about themselves. Their successes, their failures.
