What a dog bites man sort of article--really, you're telling me powerful politicians get benefits from wealthy people who want access, benefits that us peons don't get? The hell you say!
At least they noted that the Clintons are some of the worst practitioners of this. But what a yawner.
traditionalguy: "But Shakespeare's Caesar says he likes those fat sleak-headed men compared to yon Cassius with the lean and hungry look."
Indeed.
Charles Laughton as Gracchus in "Spartacus": "You have a tendency towards corpulence. Corpulence makes a man reasonable, pleasant and phlegmatic. Have you noticed the nastiest of tyrants are invariably thin?"
Honestly, this whole way of thinking is kind of alien to me. With the exception of business class air tickets, which I would never chose to pay for on my own, my tendency is to spend less on business expenses than I would on private expenses. I'll happily pay $200 a person for a nice dinner with friends (and it better be nice for that price), but if a client is paying I'll just get a $20 meal instead. I'll pay $300 a night for a hotel if it's coming out of my pocket, but I've stayed in business hotels for $100/night for clients. I'm constantly anxious over being seen as taking advantage.
I travel with rubber gloves and little detergent packs so I can do laundry in the hotel bathtub (it's embarrassing submitting expenses of $5 for laundering a $4 pair of socks).
How someone can feel comfortable with someone else paying for $30,000 of hotel rooms is beyond me.
Balfegor, it's the entitlement mentality -- that they are lucky to be paying for the room, etc. for Hillary or Christie because there are lots of others who wanted to.
It's the "you should be thanking me for allowing you to pay" mentality.
A multi-trillion dollar welfare economy and there are still indigent, homeless, and even unidentified Americans. It seems that a lot of people have a taste for the profits of wealth, pleasure, and leisure. Throw another baby (fetus, clump of cells, innocent, etc.) on the barby.
Her dependence on private planes? She's a full blown addict, it seems to me.
And a real mooch. She and Bill can afford their own plane.
And if she does not win the Presidency, they may need to buy their own. The reason for all these "friends" who are providing planes will have pretty much disappeared.
We have to cut Christie and Hillary some slack here. They have been told over and over that NY/NJ Politicians naturally rule over the Fly Over Country.
So that's what they do. Good job Hillary. Way to go Christie. Coffee, tea or the Presidency? What will you have on your flight?
Anyone who helps put Ms. Clinton in the White House will get what they deserve, good and hard, most likely from the Clinton administration itself, once they finish with the obvious enemies on their lists.

Surprise, surprise. Jabba the Hut from New Jersey only conserves what serves his appetites.
But Shakespeare's Caesar says he likes those fat sleak-headed men compared to yon Cassius with the lean and hungry look.
They seem to be expending an awful lot of energy on a guy who has pretty much no chance of becoming the Republican nominee.
I wonder if Hillary has a dollar that wasn't transferred to her in one guise or another in the unspoken expectation that it would buy goodwill?
Not at all TIV. Every dime was made by "dint of hard work!"
The Clinton means of production is running for office.
If a private individual picks up the tab, what difference, at this point, does it make?
Notice how they never mentioned King Obama and his family? Probably afraid of being called racist!!!

Does he come even close to the amount of money the Obama's have spent on luxury vacations while occupying the White House?

NYC is the center of the world for NYT readers. Christie is just across the river from them, therefore he must be important.

At his current rate he will only weigh 20 lbs at the convention. Then he can experience being the one bullied.

Vote for the harpy candidate at your own peril!
