I trust that's not information you or Meade need.

Normal cheating on a spouse in the twenty-first century is getting hard to do. There will be many heart broken people out there who used to live in happy ignorance.

We keep a low-tech eye on each other.

"But for him, the adrenaline kick is irresistible. “Not to mention,” he adds, “no woman is the same [and] there is always going to be someone out there who can do something sexually that you have never tried.” Then, of course, there’s “the thrill of never knowing if you are going to get caught.”"

It's selfishness, pure and simple.
All that self-help mumbo jumbo from the early '70s failed to see how it would change the culture.

2nd and 3rd order effects, the left never sees them.

When you remove the moral framework holding society together, and replace it with 'If it feels good do it', this is what you get.

Seems like a second job to cheat on your spouse.

I'd rather put that effort into something positive I guess, like restoring a vintage car or something.

@Althouse, wonderful response. I really did LOL.

@EMD, I have a friend who is restoring a vintage car. His wife must adore him, because for the time and money he has put into that vehicle he could have had two mistresses and still be time and money ahead.
