Or toe.
UPDATE: Okay, next morning: How did you all sleep? Foot out? Toe out? Well? Badly? I tried foot out, then retreated. Slept just fine, even with 4 windows open, blinds shut, and wind making the blinds knock against the sills all night.

Get those socks on for orgasms. Warm up, warm up, warm up! Now get that sock off for sleep. Cool down, cool down, cool down!
That's me, but I never knew anyone else that did it. You also don't feel trapped by the covers.
You can't do it if you use no covers at all.
I had a girlfriend who slept with her feet out from the covers. I guess it cooled her off.
always have (and I sleep well)
I sleep that way too. And I can't stand having the covers tucked in at the bottom. 1) I can't get my foot or leg out for cooling down, 2) I don't like my feet confined or held in an extended position. Tucked in can also bend my toes back if I flex my feet. Both lead to sore feet in the morning and can lead to charlie horses in the calves.
I always slept with appendages out until a cat adopted me and found dangling hands and feet irresistible for nighttime batting.
Spouse sleeps with one leg out. Hasn't help her at all. She struggles mightily to get a decent nights sleep. I wake up @ 3AM to find her reading on a regular basis.
There should be a book titled "On a Regular Basis."
'There should be a book titled "On a Regular Basis."'
Or a toilet. Maybe then call it "On a Regular Basin."
Try gout. Then there is no choice as far as where your foot is while in bed. The weight of a sheet is excruciating. And that's not an exaggeration. And you all know it's not an exaggeration as I've told you all at least a million times not to exaggerate.
Foot out and slept great - with all the windows open, too.
I've always done this and sensed it was my way of regulating body temp.
Count me in, I do this too.
Although my house will not be 67 in the summer. Most summer's my AC can't keep up enough to get it that cool, but this year that hasn't been an issue (no days over 100! it's in the 80's today. Gorgeous summer).

Same here. I've always done this for as long as I can remember. I also sleep on the edge of the bed, no matter how large the bed is, or how much room I have. Start me in the middle and I'll unconsciously migrate to the edge and uncover one foot.
Leaving the feet uncovered was apparently normal hospital practice a century or more ago. I recall seeing a photograph of a ward in a military hospital -- during the Boer War maybe -- and all of the soldiers had their bare feet sticking out. It looks really odd, like the beds weren't made properly or something. But maybe the nurses and doctors then were on to the same thing as the linked article. If I find the photo somewhere I'll link to it.
Also check out the movie Tombstone, starring Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer. (Wow, what a doozy of a film!) At the end Doc Holliday is bed ridden with terminal tuberculosis at a sanitorium. He's shown covered to his chin but is feet are bare and stick out from under the blanket.
Clarification. By "same here" I mean sleep with a foot out. I've always slept with the windows closed and the AC on because I've had hay fever since early childhood.
He's shown covered to his chin but is feet are bare and stick out from under the blanket.
Is that a typo, or just my inner East Ender showing through?
"I always slept with appendages out until a cat adopted me and found dangling hands and feet irresistible for nighttime batting."
My cats only go after feet if they're covered. If the foot is uncovered they'll ignore it.
Fuck that - mosquitoes,...
Then there's the Two-Hat Cure for serious colds. You stick your left foot out from the blanket, place a hat on it, and drink liquor until you see two hats. Works every time.
