What matters, what's most important to me, is coming up with a beginning (and all other text) to the ending of my book's tittle ": A Doggy's Tail Tale."
My son was telling me about this yesterday. My first thought was, "It should be spelled 'doag'; 'doge' is the elected leader of Italian city-states such as Venice." I just googled it, and the current usage is the first several hits. Sigh.
I agree that doge does capture a very narrow snapshot of the net. Even down to the obsession over bitcoin, with dogecoin. History isn't kind to these microhistories, though. Today's doge is tomorrow's reaction guys or nyan cat.

"Doge"? I've not heard of a doge outside Venice.
I like doge but I usually feel more like Moon Moon.
"He is a little rat;
He's got the turds down pat."
Music.
""One little ball;
always makes him fall."
"Fall right in;
to a world of sin."
"Fall so slow;
whomever is to know."
"Work it all around;
into the ground."
Much Althouse. Very blog. Such relevant. Wow.

The problem is that "doge" is the result of racist charisture (making fun of Asian misunderstanding English) while LOLcats were not.
