This is one of those late winter days -- sunny, calm, mid-40s -- when it's good to be alive.

But I'll walk the dog tonight, and all the snow that's melted will have left water that has re-frozen into slick ice on the sidewalks.

Well, we'll be snow-free in about 4 or 5 weeks. I can wait.

Fur is good.

We're getting more snow tomorrow. I could do without the sub zero tells, but it's been good winter for outside activities. I guess that includes the shoveling...Fortunately my boys are old enough!

We gonna have a donation drive for those poor inner city Madison pooches who can't afford snow booties?

Rocky's back feet are still airborne. And his tail is balancing out his ass end which is also looking for solid ground. Good shot timing Meade. Oh and it was 80* here today. Low humidity and perfect long walk on the beach weather, looking for shark teeth for you landlockeds. Of course you guys probably have as much water frozen above ground there as opposed to the ocean out front here.

Meade's four-footed friends would make me very nervous.

Rocky appears to have webbed feet, maybe for better stopping power.

Our American Eskimo takes gazelle-type leaps through the deep snow. Legs are too short to just walk. Ton of energy for a 13 year old.

Apparently if you think the government shouldn't fund NPR then you shouldn't listen to it. I guess the pledge drives are for suckers. Or maybe if you think NPR should not be funded by the government you can't listen to it.

It was so cold this morning in Austin Texas that I had to roll my sleeves down (motorcycle commute).

Finally got up to 80.

Yay Texas.

Radioactive isotopes. I ate a nuclear pill today. Clinic week for thyroid cancer whole body scans.

I am so tired of the Low Iodine Diet and I have the same dish to eat for last night's dinner, and lunch and dinner today and tomorrow. Bleh.

Friday morning when I'm done, I am so going to Cracker Barrel and eating the forbidden foods that I have been dreaming of...eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrown casserole with CHEESE, pancakes, etc. I might even skip dinner Thursday to be super hungry for my feast.

Let me be observe that those outfits the lady bob-sledders wear are pretty flattering. Maybe she has to be incredibly fit to make it work, but still.

Oh Liz so sorry. I hope the food tastes good. I always have the breakfast at CB no matter the time of day.

KyLiz, I'm sorry to read this. My sister has gone down the same road you're traveling, and it's not fun. She endured and so will you. (5+ years later now, for her).

Enjoy your breakfast tomorrow. Well-earned!

Liz, best wishes. I'd make you breakfast if I could!
