A movie documentary about the comic strip "Calvin and Hobbes."

Is there a point to this, when the strips are all there and easy to read and reread?

Greg Larson and Sam Watterston both quit when they were at the top of their game. I wonder, if like Washington retiring after two terms, this will influence future cartoonists. Al Capp is the warning figure, and they are the role models. Pay attention Trudeau.

I would have counted Trudeau as another 'warning figure'.

Personally, I think Doonesbury should have shut down around 1980.

To expand and revise WTS' comment, FORK YES.

PW: it should've gone on its hiatus about 1980 and never re-opened. It would've survived as the perfect encapsulation of the 70s instead of becoming a progressive cocooning aid
