That's the end of the first screen of a 4-screens-long WaPo article on books with titles that begin "The end of." I stopped there. It felt like the end, and yet I knew it wasn't really the end. Except to the extent that it was.
Now, I see the first comment over there is: "I would read this whole article, but it's the End of the Week and I'm at the End of My Rope."
Ha ha. Does anyone click to page 2?

It's problematic, implementing a business model that condescends to a sophisticated market.
It's column filler for when there aren't enough letters.

In Britian, you could have said fag end, which is not the same as Bag End, which is sort of the same as Baggins.

I make that don't bother continuing reading decision about 50 times a day. Sites are too irritating to continue.
I don't like being jabbed in the ribs, made to wait, forced to watch or hear something else, stalked with networking links, offered suggestions along the way, or worse of all given a little jab at the end. I don't want to click fifteen times to read something. I'm arriving at the conclusion that if a site contains those things then that means people are using them and only total dummkopfs would appreciate that so leave immediately. Up to now I've been moving the window to clip off distracting things and copy/pasting if the site is too annoying into a clean page but now I'm becoming a lot less patient. And pajamas media flat pisses me off with their penchant for "view this on one page" Why wouldn't I want that? Legalisurrection too, how am I supposed to read that site? Is it intended to be a two-window site? Is it intended I go back and forth? I do realize it is intended to skipidy-doo-dah along and pick and choose, but honestly, how is it intended to be read? The rest, Breitbart and Thedailycaller are becoming too goofy with sidebar distractions, to put up with and their commenters do appear the type that accepts or welcomes distractions and links to network sites.
