Speaking of, look at the flower arrangements below the president's lectern in the picture currently featured on Drudge. It's really nice until you get to...whatever the hell those are. Hydrangeas? The white poofy balls. Everything else is all vibrant and spring-like except those. They don't belong.
Isn't it funny how photos of president Obama completely upend all rules of photography, and the eye is actually led away from the subject to the periphery? I must really not like him!
I borrowed a neighbor to help me and went to the storage place and retrieved my boathouse car and sculling boat from winter storage (which started last Oct 29 due to an early snowstorm--I'm dreaming of a white Halloween.)
I tested the water at the lake yesterday by wading in ankle deep to see if it was tolerable--yes it is. I have to wade in knee deep to launch and land on the boat ramp.
The stored car started just fine because I visited it a few times during the winter and started it and let it run for a few minutes to keep the battery charged.
Gassed her up, and took her in for an oil change and fluids, and they did all the windows. I have a minor boat repair to do (fin replaced) and let that harden, and I'll be ready to row.

Browns with grays and purples are a special look. Well done picture today.
Where Althouse sees beauty, I see higher taxes.
It's lovely!
You do better with more vibrant colors, Madame, but I see your point.
Be great when Spring gets up there.
Pale.

Rowing = life is good.
Speaking of Obama pics, here's his private moment of silence with his photographer.
A little creepy, I think.
Trevor Moran X Factor, no wait, 13? The whole time I thought he was 16 or something.

I really dislike framing the picture that way with the foot of one chair leg cut off.
The chair leg cut off a inch isn't near as horrible as that ugly picture of Liberty's Torch on the wall.

I agree with Synova.
