Yes.
They know who the Attorney General is.
Nothing will happen. Cops don't want to escalate cause that might lead to the sort of violence that actually matters...
They're just following the lead of the President.
Well, they do know that the cops are union also and the President is cheering them on. What do they have to worry about? Approximately half of the country would probably cheer if the right to work folks were exterminated. I am sure the mainstream media will not shun the union thugs for their violence, most likely they will spin the story in their favor and cheer them on. They want blood. They are angry and violent. They will get a free pass to act as violently as they wish. Just another day in the life of America under the class warfare machine.
The right to work rules in Michigan don't prevent people from forming unions. They don't require though that people are forced to pay dues or go through a union to keep or get a job. And this is totally fair.
What's completely immoral are unions preventing people from working if they aren't part of the union. Or having the last person hired be the first person fired and not be able to egotists their position with their employer for their position. Thats complete crap. Newer hires pay union dues to protect the jobs of old timers who have been in the union longer at the expense of their own jobs if negotiations call for job cuts.
Again, that's bullshit.
"Parasitical benefits." That's one way to put it.
"Newer hires pay union dues to protect the jobs of old timers "
I couldn't help but notice the age of the union members.
No Michigan jury will convict. Maybe a civil suit when the thug(s) are identified (plus discovery)?
This just in: Michigan Gov. Snyder signs bill banning mandatory union membership.
Via BreakingNews on Twitter.
Huzzah!
or do they know something about the willingness of the authorities to enforce the law
This plus they work in a culture that supports this behavior. Even if they are charged the union will see that they're taken care of.
So lemme gett his straight...
Obama lets two voter-intimidating Black Panthers free after getting a conviction...
Claims what Jeremiah Wright preached for 20 years wasn't a big deal...
Deliberately let Americans die in a Libyan consulate, and then arrested a man he knew to be innocent of the crimes...
And Easy Annie A. is still surprised that Obama's union thugs are brazenly violent in public?
Your mask is slipping a lot there, abortion-lover.
Meanwhile only 7% of Detroit 8th graders test as "proficient" in reading. That's higher than the percentage which is proficient in math.
God help us.
My ten year old is just read Bread & Roses, Too. My mother was in a union for years, but I don't know I can really defend the principle of unions today.
What we have here is the core of the 21st century Sturmabteilung.
You don't need cops to prosecute somebody for a crime. You go to a magistrate and file a complaint. Defendant gets served. Then you have a trial.
So, yes, this guy is stupid. If and when he's identified, he'll be served with a criminal complaint, prosecuted, and will receive a criminal record.
If you think a judge will ignore an assault from a union guy, you're mistaken.
Guy will get convicted, and he'll get unsupervised probation.
(If you think people go to jail for simple assault, you're mistaken again!)
I will watch MSM news shows to see if they covered this [snarc alert].
I have CNN on and the reporter is taking the poor poor workers's POV. No sign yet of the Crowder attack.
They know who the assailant is, Tony Cummings. He's either the Tony Cummings of IBEW or the Tony Cummings of the steel workers that's been indited for embezzlement of union funds.
Watching this video reminded me to ask my vet to squeeze my dog's anal gland next time she's in.
"Union thugs... in broad daylight, on camera. Are they stupid... or do they know something about the willingness of the authorities to enforce the law?"
Welcome to Barack Obama's New America.
No negotiation.
No compromise.
He won't try this stunt with Boehner though.
Obama would get his pansy ass kicked, hard.
A Michigander* friend of mine--someone who has expressed political disinterest/ambiguity--posted a We Stand with Michigan Workers graphic on her FB page. Wonder if she has any idea what goes on with some of those "workers."

people who work menial jobs are fucking losers who should know their place. these guys are real jerks and thugs and should be WORKING for their paychecks rather than complaining and beating people up who don't agree with them. nobody i know who went to college and had a respectable job would ever act like this.
Intimidation doesn't work unless people know about it.

Let's face it - none of these union employers have grown in the last 20 years. In fact, most contracted and had to cut union workers which meant LIFO so the young ones got cut loose.
Maybe it's good that Meade didn't go up there, huh.
althouse asks a very important question we all should be asking. I for one think that there needs to be an investigation of union communications with the police about the police willingly ignoring the acts of these heinous thugs. who enforces the law in michigan?!?! i think the governor is in cahoots with these thugs.
@Tim you're so right. I think boehner would take obama to the woodshed. I WISH obama would try to fight boehner. I think everyone knows obama would get his ass kicked HARD. Boehner's the toughest speaker we've had in years (much tougher than Nanny Pelosi and Hastert combined, and hastert was even a wrestling coach, so you know he knows how to fight)

He's from IBEW in Grand Rapids. Link is HERE
I am disappointed that he's a skilled trades member. I guess SEIU has corrupted everyone.
Judging from his size he's lucky Crowder didn't retaliate...Crowder is younger and definitely more fit...as several of his videos illustrate.
It's so cute the way Garage is willing to say anything for his union thugs. I wonder if they threatened him?
I don't understand the compulsion to violence. It seriously undermines any cause.
@EMD these THUGS are COMPELLED to violence because they are idiot brutes who want to STEAL from their employers. They should ALL be arrested on the spot there in michigan for assault, just based on these videos. but they won't be, as althouse says, because the governor doesn't want to enforce the law in michigan.
Funny how that tent just magically fell to the ground, right there in front of all the union thugs and everything. Almost like a Christmas miracle, right Garage?
Violence is how you defend a cause that you can't win any other way.
Intimidation works until enough people decide it doesn't.
So stupid. The unions could provide a valuable service in our society (e.g. oversight, mediation); but instead they decided to exploit democratic leverage, and their greed corrupted them. The outcome has been as bad or worse in the public sector, where the taxpayers are effectively a captive audience. They received progressive compensation for the consequences of the policies they supported, and left the rest of America to carry the risk.
garage: "THE DAY THE CLOTH TENT COLLAPSED"
Did it "collapse", or was it pulled down?
Don't worry, we know you have not been authorized to answer the question honestly.
What's next...the day that Crowders tooth chipped itself?
It's all grins and giggles from garage as he then moves on to lament the coming "concentration camps" by the nazi's of the right!
Gee, it's almost like garage is projecting again.....
Beating people and drawing knives on them to slash their property are not protected by the First Amendment.
garage you fucking idiot there were people inside that tent, two of them in wheelchairs!
Local Michigan news site MLive.com reported that AFP called the police in order to rescue the people trapped under the tent — two of whom were in wheelchairs.
Did it "collapse", or was it pulled down?
There were many report of KochBots loosening ropes inside at least one of the tents. It did appear to come down from the inside.
I would tend to believe that, it's the same sort of ratfuckery we saw in Wisconsin.
Ann, thank you for posting this.
I see Garbage is still either a knowing liar or a Little Walter Duranty, or a bit of both.
Garage: Was that before or after it was attacked by knife using protestors that an inside man timed the attack? Do you honestly think 12/11 was an inside job?
With hand-held camera phones ubiquitous and easy access to social media, it's extremely stupid to deliver a public beating like this.
They aren't stupid. They are Democrat sociopaths, i.e., criminals.
Unionized cops are more of the same and won't bust them. Years ago, when cops were more serious about crime than overtime and pensions, they were overwhelmingly Republican.
Now, they are thugs who sympathize with other thugs.
Could this be a post that deserves a "New Civility Bullsh!t" tag?
They took down their own tent! That's awesome, Garage. Who writes your stuff?
Actually, I read reports that it was David Koch himself taking the tents down!
Garbage,
"There were many report of KochBots loosening ropes ..."
Where is "there"? DU? Kos? Firedoglake? IWW.org? The fever swamps of your imagination?
"There."
"There" were reports that Garbage just Makes Shit Up instead of saying something an honest liberal would, like, "OK, I disagree with the legislation, but the videos show obvious abuses by those who otherwise agree with me. It's shameful."
Nahh. That would require a brain and a conscience.
I would tend to believe that, it's the same sort of ratfuckery we saw in Wisconsin.
You tend to believe anything that allows your side to dodge blame, no matter how ridiculous it is on its face. I realize everyone does this to a certain extent, but this is bordering on delusional.
There is no way in hell I'd ever be in a situation where I'm clearly marked as being conservative (e.g. like in an AFP tent) and there are irate UAW or SEIU mobs around without a gun.
I'm sorry, but what did the AFP folks expect? Unions have now & always have had their share of brutish thugs who will act out when their schemes are threatened.
Remember this incident when you read histories about the Molly Maguires or hear songs like "Which Side Are You On?". Unions weren't full of boys scouts back then, either.
Fascist teabaggers.
Do you honestly think 12/11 was an inside job?
For supposed tough guy rugged individualist types conservatives claim to be, they sure are some of the whiniest crybabies out there, even when things go their way. There isn't a doubt in my mind Crowder and tea party groups went to the protest to goad protesters. That way they can play the whiny victim which is what they do best.
No arrests.
No injuries.
It gets people to not talk about the real beatings, and the mace, and the putrid legislation signed behind closed doors by a coward though. Mission Accomplished.
Yeah... Crowder grabbed that guys fist and just... POW.
You're pathetic garage. Didn't used to be. This worries me.
ives claim to be, they sure are some of the whiniest crybabies out there, even when things go their way. There isn't a doubt in my mind Crowder and tea party groups went to the protest to goad protesters.
If he didn't want to get punched, he shouldn't have been wearing that short skirt.
Garage: There actually -were- injuries. Crowder was injured in the attack. You just mean "no serious enough injuries that I need to pretend to care that other humans were threatened with weapons."
Stop pretending to care about other people; you don't. At least, not as much as you care about winning the political war.
You tend to believe anything that allows your side to dodge blame, no matter how ridiculous it is on its face. .
I can name at least 5 instances of that happening in Wisconsin. Shall I?
Forced union membership is the most anti-democratic thing possible. Card Check is disgusting, too, and should it be enacted in any possible other venue would be seen as fascist and criminal.
But no... Crowder grabbed that guys fist and ... POW! And those fake lamers in the wheelchairs pulled the tent down on themselves.
Also... the knives were plastic.
Ann, honestly, do you believe Garage to be arguing "in good faith," as you once put it when the subject of banning trolls arose?

Ropes inside a tent that hold it up? How does that work?
I'm absolutely serious. I'm unfamiliar with that type of tent.
The police are UNION Brothers. There will be no arrests, evidence will be lost, witnesses unrecorded, etc. Just like the Cops do for one of their own gang.
the putrid legislation signed behind closed doors by a coward
Why bring Obamacare into this?
The police are UNION Brothers. There will be no arrests, evidence will be lost, witnesses unrecorded, etc. Just like the Cops do for one of their own gang.
It's a shame to hear this. Sounds familiar except less than Madison. It's almost sounds like petering out. Bussed in, but not that much of a crowd. Violent, yes, but not all that. I expected a worse climax. It's almost sad.
Contrary to that I met about twenty-five people today and spoke to them individually and everybody I met, every single one is so freaking gorgeous I can't stand it. Friendly. Outwardly accommodating. Engaging. It's uncanny, but I like it. It's like a new world. It's been this way all season, it's held since the election. I don't understand it, but it's what I notice.
"There isn't a doubt in my mind Crowder and tea party groups went to the protest to goad protesters."
Sort of like the vusuvula blowers and pot-bangers that showed up to the Tea Party thing in Wisconsin, huh.
Totally asking for it.
"Totally asking for it."
-- Garage probably thinks women shouldn't wear short skirts and go out too late at night either.
Reminds me of something Milton Friedman wrote (paraphrasing):
Unions are cartels. That's why they so often resort to violence, because without physical coercion, they fall apart.
-----------------------------
Now, forced unionization by governmental fiat saved many a union's face back in the day, because the normal kick-them-in-the-head-and-rape-their-wives tactics weren't necessary if Big Daddy Government could force a business not to hire you without a union card. It's why it was enacted---unions used political power to grant them full cartel power without the need for open warfare on non-members.
But here, with the union power lost/on the verge of losing, true unionism comes out. And, unlike in the previous centuries, the unions can't uniformly force the news to cover their violence.
Still, it doesn't matter. Fascism has won in our country. This is is like a pistol shot at a tank.
Can't wait till they start singing the "Horst Wessel Lied".

Those dudes voted for Obama. Huzzah!
It seems obvious to me that... given unions are *legal* that workers can organize to gain leverage with an employer who isn't playing fair.
And if workers are not interested in organizing it is because they are relatively content. Not having a union doesn't hurt them, and if employers start taking advantage workers have the option to organize.
Not having a union hurts the union... those employed by the union, who depend on the union. The union bosses.
Boo fricking hoo.

Unions=criminal underworld.
Seig Heil, Mein Obama!
"That's why I am buying guns. My cause is freedom and self-preservation."
I'm considering it. Not because I'm worried about anything but because I've always wanted one and like shooting. And I'm not getting younger.
Sort of a "bucket competency" thing to develop in the category of "Every man should be able to..."
There's also clear video of another union thug slicing up the AFP tent and handing out pieces for souvenirs.
I believe the threshold for felony Willful and Malicious Destruction of Property is $1000. Those tents are worth more than $1000.
A Michigander*
*is this the proper term?
Depends. Do you favor the elite or the popular form as "proper"?
Governors Blanchard, Engler, and Granholm used Michiganian, and it's the form used by the Detroit News and the Michigan Historical Society. Its supporters point out "Michigander" was coined as an insult.
On the other hand, Governor Snyder says Michigander, as does the Detroit Free Press. A 2011 poll of residents of Michigan said 58% prefer Michigander, 12% preferred Michiganian, 12% had no opinion, and 17% didn't like either. Supporters often claim insisting on "Michiganian" is pompus.
They cops in Madison are UNION to.. so they won't cross any picket line.
The law, for them, stops at the UNION label.
Funny thing is, Hitler's brownshirts did the same thing. Murdered people in the streets and the German cops just watched.
"I'm considering it. Not because I'm worried about anything but because I've always wanted one and like shooting. And I'm not getting younger."
The "why" doesn't matter. Consider a .38 special revolver to start. Reasonable stopping power, won't jam, not too much recoil.
If you are married to, or involved with, a white male, you will be able to defend him when someone comes to collect the bounty.
Michigander is sort of... male specific, isn't it?
Wouldn't you have to have a Michigander and a Michigoose?
Why does garage mahal have an Ernie Borgnine avatar?

My neighbor is going thru a divorce. It never occurred to me to go onto his lawn and taunt him, throwing pennies at him calling him names. Why not? Because I'm not a douchebag like Fox News and teabaggers for one thing. But, that's how they roll. Poke a stick in somebody's eye, and play victim to the cameras afterward. I think Ann Coulter actually pioneered that.
Like I said, it's the same shit they pulled in Wisconsin, because they know useless dupes will wet their panties and breathlessly send edited videos and the like around the internet at warp speed.

It's not Ernest Borgnine, genius.
Try: Vincent Thomas Lombardi. Proud union supporting member of the Wisconsin Democratic Party.
I can name at least 5 instances of that happening in Wisconsin. Shall I?
can you document them?
Oh I see... passing "right to work" is like the emotional trauma of a divorce. It's totally understandable for adult persons to be distraught and beside themselves and resort to violence in that situation.
This is why... if you try to leave someone you should get a gun to defend yourself from their understandable violent reactions.
"My neighbor is going thru a divorce. It never occurred to me to go onto his lawn and taunt him, throwing pennies at him calling him names. Why not? Because I'm not a douchebag..."
What a bizarre analogy. While I'm sure that being wrenched off the compulsory-union-dues teat is a traumatic experience for your union brethren, this is part of a political process, and it's completely legitimate for people who disagree with the unions to appear in public and voice their disagreement.
You seem to think that free speech is beyond the pale, but beating people is just fine and dandy - as long as the people doing the beating are your friends, and the speech is something you don't agree with.

Michigander is the correct term. I've got some old books that use it.
And if Crazy Jenny Granholm uses something else, it's probably wrong.
Perhaps it's how a person has to prove they really mean what they say.
If you *calmly* explain that government is too big and imposes upon people to an untenable degree... you're opportunistically lying because if it were actually untenable you'd go out and break something... or punch someone.

It isn't Cummings. Second letter is not a "u", it is an "a" or an "o". Dana Loesch thinks she knows who it is, they are checking now.
Lets see, off the top of my head:
Republicans claiming 7.5 million damage to the Capitol by protesters, calculated on a cocktail napkin at the bar. Laughably false.
Recalled senator Dan Kapanake claiming union protesters bashed in his windshield. FALSE.
Kyle Wood, Republican staffer, claiming a political assault on himself. Admitted later he made it all up. Christian Schneider and Daily Caller retract. False.
Sean Kedzie, son of state senator Neal Kedzie, claiming he was assaulted over a Romney/Ryan sign. Neak Kedzie said the police suspension of the case was "for the best". False.
Lastly, one big ratfuck bullshit marathon from the WIGOP about recall fraud signatures that turned out to be false, the man that signed recall forms 80 times that turned out to be false, the poll books in
Racine thrown away that turned about to be false, and all the bullshit claims about voter fraud they peddled that they could never document even one case.
So many howlers from the likes of Media Tackers, Charlie Sykes, WPRI, MacIver Institute, Jeff Wagner, etc etc etc.

The reveal here though is that this is exactly the tactics of the left. Somehow he manages to accept their far more numerous actions while hyperventilating and wetting his panties on any occasion where the roles are reversed.
Where is Needy? We need his reporting.
Did any of those have video of the violence, garage?
You know... I don't care if Crowder is an *ss. He can't force anyone to punch him.
Just like no one was forced to make a vuvusula blower eat their horn... and surprisingly it wasn't enough to provoke anyone into feeding someone their vuvusulas... which is proof that it wasn't really irritating or rude, huh garage?
Obviously it wasn't provoking if no one was provoked.
Crowder, though, is obviously provoking seeing as he got punched for it.
Really... believing "they made it all up" when there is clear video footage takes incredible force of will.
What idiocy we live in (looking at you, garbage), now. Though, truly, I suspect it was the same when that first person said WTF, thousands of years ago, and thus the battle began.
We've had a slight taste of freedom here, in the USA, like a long tongued deer on a barb wired protected salt-lick. But no one looks, long term, a thousand and more years down the arc. Maybe it doesn't make any difference. Maybe it is too soon.
garage mahal,
12/11. Never forget! THE DAY THE CLOTH TENT COLLAPSED
The day a violent mob surrounded the tent and tore it apart, with people still inside? Yeah, thanks for reminding me.
Could you remind me of the times violent TEA Party mobs descended on OWS encampments and tore their tents up? Because -- I suppose it's just age or something -- the dates are slipping me. But it must have happened scores of times. I mean, right?
Ann, if anything you're understating the brazenness of the attack -- the reason the attacker was so quickly identified, apparently, is that he was WEARING A JACKET WITH HIS FULL NAME ON THE BACK OF IT! The video only captured the first letter of his last name. For photo, see here (linked by Instapundit):
http://danaloeschradio.com/donors-offers-for-info-leading-to-arrest-of-union-thug/
Gateway Pundit reports the attacker is apparently Tony Camargo:
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/12/union-thug-who-beat-steven-crowder-ided-his-name-is-tony-cummings-video/
The dude from Fox in the middle of a protest crowd claiming he was "assaulted". Pretty laughably false. (it was on camera)
Fox News hilariously showing footage of a union protest, allegedly from Wisconsin, in Spring, complete with palm trees!
MacIver Institute claiming the GAB would allow Mickey Mouse and Hitler recall signatures.
Walker claiming the recall effort against him started before he was elected.
(I'm trying to keep these to GOP ratfuck operations).
Media Trackers claiming "BBQ for votes" parties were held in Milwaukee.
Media Trackers claiming voter fraud at the behest of Sen. Lena Taylor. (a group of black people voted)
Ahhh, the memories!
garage mahal,
For supposed tough guy rugged individualist types conservatives claim to be, they sure are some of the whiniest crybabies out there, even when things go their way. Oh, indeed. Counter-protests are designed to goad protesters. That's the whole point.
But how is it that the counter-protesters don't seem to have punched any of the protesters in the face, or slashed up any of their property?
No arrests.
We'll see what that looks like in a day or two, because there's a lot of obvious assault and malicious mischief on video.
No injuries.
Say you. I see a lot of punching there. Also a bunch of people jubilantly collapsing a tent when there are people inside it.
Like I said, it's the same shit they pulled in Wisconsin
Heh
Yeah, that 14 year old girl was asking for it too. She was probably wearing a short skirt too, right?
Funny how this seems to happen when people disagree with the union thugs. Because, you know, that's fascism!
It's the same sort of ratfuckery we saw in Wisconsin.
Oh yeah, that's right...Madison, WI was the last time the Unions got their whiny asses beat good and hard at the ballot box. Twice, actually.
Thanks for reminding me.
I'm sensing a pattern here. Unions keep losing when voters are allowed to participate.
Oh, and where the HELL is my Imminent Walker Indictment Update?
Whatareya....Union? Break's over, comrade.
Could you remind me of the times violent TEA Party mobs descended on OWS encampments and tore their tents up?
At the Capitol: Ex state senator, Dave Zien of Eau Claire, with Tea Party crew, yelling and screaming "Walker for president", draping their snake flags over singers at the Solidarity Singalong in the Rotunda. One protester was punched in the face chipping his tooth. Disorderly and battery charges.
And who could forget This
Those thugs gotta keep speaking truth to power, right? Those 14 year olds wield way too much power, and it's keeping 'em down!
The best thing about The Larry Sanders Show is, besides being on Netflix, seeing what the actors were like pre-Bush.
Bush nuked them.
Destroyed their souls.
Of course they will always blame Bush for everything, as Bush revealed to them how small and meaningless they are.
The goal is to make sure conservatives don't give in to the same evil temptations so many libs did under Bush.
Garage is damaged, he knows it. This acting out with lies is meant to distract us, which he considers a win for some reason.
So be it.
Re: Ann's initial reaction. Ann, this is what you voted for four years ago. This is what Obama, the Dem party and unionsim is. How can a smart person be surprised?
Obama: "If I had a son, he'd look like Tony Cummings."
That wretched flag draping really puts a sucker punch in perspective.
But what about =====>!
How dare those Tea Partiers protest! What is this, America or something? They can't say things like "Walker for President!" It might hurt a thug's feelings.

Who you gonna believe, Garage, or your lying eyes. He's heard reports people. Get with the program!
Who you gonna believe, Garage, or your lying eyes. He's heard reports people. Get with the program!
Who knows. I would tend to believe any other than liars at Fox News or AFP, or anyone from the GOP. (see above)
Haven't even started with all the assaults on recall petitioners. Was trying to keep it to false flag sympathy ratfucks as I mentioned.
Hint: It's not going to be reported until the right responds in kind or in self-defense.
The set up over the last few years has ben to blame right wing extremists for anything and everything, whether true or not.
The set up is for a potential 'kristallnacht' or a 'Jan Bloody Sunday' or a "Year Zero" or a similar analogue.
iow, it's a trap.

Don't be ridiculous. Here he is w/ his wife, Ethel Merman, before he dumped her for Rosie Palms.
Awesome Chip. That may get a good guffaw from the geriatrics at Troopers place. But I think it's way past their bedtime.
Hey Ernest Borgnine in A Hat Avatar.
I'm impressed you've decided to continue to post in character, as "Marty".
How's Mom?
A Michigander*
*is this the proper term?
In light of today's events, I propose Michiganae, with an emphasis on the second syllable.
Perhaps the conservatives need to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights. I suggest 12-guage shotguns loaded with #4 shot.
There are reports that Garbage refuses to deny that he has sex with barnyard animals. True story.
The desperation in trying to equate anything, anything at all with a punch in the face clearly demonstrates how low he will go.
Remember people, you're a Nazi if you oppose compulsory membership in political organizations but you're just expressing yourself if you physically assault people peacefully speaking out in opposition to you.
It must be true because Ernest said so.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for the leader of these guys. I doubt we agree on anything.
Besides there is nothing wrong with assault, violence, or pounding down free speech as long as the guy you voted for won. That makes everything you do and think correct.
garage mahal says, The Althouse Blog does not belong to those who blaspheme the Prophet Vincent.
@gargae...
Your daughter is going to die.
and Obama won't lift a finger to help her. On purpose. Because he wants her to.
lol
There were many report of KochBots loosening ropes inside at least one of the tents.
Wow. Do you actually believe that BS, or is it just politically convenient to repeat it?
IIRC, "Michigander" was the original name of what is now called the Coney Island hot dog. The style originated in Michigan, migrated east and became popular at Coney Island under the name "Michigander," then the "Coney" designation took over because, well, that's what happens when things happen in New York, even if they happen somewhere else first...
I can name at least 5 instances of that happening in Wisconsin. Shall I?
Only five instance of union thugs committing assault and battery? I think you underestimate by an order of magnitude.
My neighbor is going thru a divorce. It never occurred to me to go onto his lawn and taunt him, throwing pennies at him calling him names.
WTF does that have to do with legislation passed by a lawfully elected legislature?
Are you thugs such sore losers that you see the mere presence of advocates of the opposing view as incitement to violence? Do you lack the self-control of actual adults?
Your daughter is going to die.
Someday, sure. We all will. Hopefully, God willing, you'll go first though.
One protester was punched in the face chipping his tooth.
Shitbag shouldn't have been there, screaming for the government to keep his hand in the pockets of people with real jobs.
Just applying your "logic" to your side, garbage.
Whoreoftheinternt will be run over tomorrow by a Teamsters semi at 12 noon, sharp. He will no longer appear here, alas, he will not be missed.
My crystal ball is never wrong.
Haven't even started with all the assaults on recall petitioners.
Were you planning on assaulting them, Garbage?
And WTF is up with Ernest Borgnine?
whoresoftheinternet makes Fred Phelps look good.
I'll never buy another UAW built automobile ever again.
garage mahal reminds me of someone. Who could it be?
He keeps insisting that the people in the tent made it collapse to make the union thugs look bad. What does that remind me of?
Ah! gm reminds me of Muslims who can't believe (or can't admit) that their fellow-Muslims could have done something so vile as to destroy the World Trade Center, so they earnestly (get it?) insist that it was actually destroyed by Jews who just made it look like Muslims did it.
What you see in the video is exactly why the unions want "card check" so badly. Take away the secret ballot, and 99% of people will yield to the union's positions, rather than risk being on the receiving end of a serious beating, a vandalized car/home, or constant harassment of one's self or family members.
(I grew up in a non-"Right-to-Work" state, and I had to join a supermarket worker's union as a part-time worker when I was a kid. Let's just say that, somehow, the shop steward was never a pint-sized woman from the deli, but always a big fellow who never smiled, barely did any real work, and looked like he just walked off the set of "The Sopranos." Most workers just kept their heads down and tried to avoid doing anything that would get "attention" from the union because, hey, accidents happen. A supermarket union - not even a "tough" union, like the Teamsters or the Ironworkers!)
@whore: What you just wrote about garage's daughter is pretty below the belt stuff.
If you're going to do below the belt stuff with garage, stick with masturbation jokes. But strangely enough only me and Chip get them.
And WTF is up with Ernest Borgnine?
I started it at 6:57 PM. Like garage, Borgnine was a notorious wanker and even credited his longevity to it.
I learned all this on Althouse from Trooper York.
Let's just say that, somehow, the shop steward was never a pint-sized woman from the deli, but always a big fellow who never smiled, barely did any real work, and looked like he just walked off the set of "The Sopranos."
You realize he probably WAS mobbed up, right? Unions are nothing but a government-sanctioned protection racket, and who better to run it/provide muscle?
Oh, that photo of Borgnine looks like St. Vincent because he played him in a movie: Legend In Granite
He keeps insisting that the people in the tent made it collapse to make the union thugs look bad.
No, I said once [learn to read], that were reports that AFP members were untying ropes that moored it to the poles holding up the tent.
AFP built that tent! Came down rather easily. Should have hired a union?
As an aside, compare card check to the caucus system in politics. Now consider Hillary Clinton's 2008 performance in secret ballot primaries versus open caucuses along with the potential role that public intimidation plays in caucuses.
(On average, Clinton did much, much better in primaries than she did in caucuses. I'd wager that if every state used a secret ballot, we'd be looking forward to Hillary Clinton's second term right now.)
Law enforcement? Arresting Union members for acts of violence? Clearly you aren't familiar with US vs Emmons, which legalized violent acts committed in the name of furthering Union objectives. I wish I were making that up.
"Are they stupid... or do they know something about the willingness of the authorities to enforce the law?"
I'm guessing the media won't report it either...

Documented? Sure, go for it.
Rob Crawford said..."You realize he probably WAS mobbed up, right? Unions are nothing but a government-sanctioned protection racket, and who better to run it/provide muscle?"
That's the point I was trying to make, more or less. And, hey, even when the mob isn't directly involved in a particular shop, the organizing/controlling tactics come from the same playbook. Birds of a feather, and all that.
The unions remind me of the original Reconstructionist Klan, except the Klan's members were fat bloated fucks that couldn't put a man down with four sucker punches. Like the Klan, the unions use violence and intimidation to maintain or regain their political control and power. The Klan eventually succeeded by 1877, hopefully the unions won't. The Klan was and the unions are just being good Democrats.
Forward!
Since I already know how to read, I can see that garage mahal's latest is just more contemptible squid-ink bullshit desigend to evade the issue.
Since gm knows how to read, he knows that his answer to the question I keep asking him is way overdue: for the fourth or fifth time, what does he think about the Michigan union that forced people to pay nearly $30 million in union dues for the privilege of caring for their own handicapped children in their own homes, offering nothing whatever in return? I think it's one of the things that made unions deservedly unpopular in Michigan, convincing most of the population that they're just a bunch of greedy extortionist thugs. What does gm think? He refuses to answer the question, because there is no way he can answer it without looking like a liar, a hypocrite, or a neofascist admirer of extortionist thugs. (Come to think of it, there's a good evidence that he's all three.)
Documented? Sure, go for it.
I did. If you can find an error in any of them, go for it.
You are delusional Tubby.
As to whores of the internet, I am torn about whether that is below the belt.
Is Garage's daughter a real person or like one of the myriad of made up children like the sauced up piglet Inga has?
If real, then I would chastise whores of the internet for going there, and sincerely hope that she has not inherited the obesity genes from her pre type II diabetic father.
If another figment of the leftist imagination, then by all means.
I keep asking him is way overdue: for the fourth or fifth time, what does he think about the Michigan union that forced people to pay nearly $30 million in union dues for the privilege of caring for their own handicapped children in their own homes, offering nothing whatever in return?
I honestly don't know about this story you keeping harping about. Why not provide a link, and ask me to comment instead of asking why I won't comment?
Garages "documented" cases are where someone made a claim of something and it turned out they made it up, or at least couldn't prove it.
None of the original *claims* were documented... if they were fake or just unprovable, unlike having a video showing a guy punching the person making the claim in the face or a video of people pushing a tent over.
garage mahal,
AFP built that tent! Came down rather easily. Should have hired a union?
Yeah, well a lot of things "come down rather easily" when mobs are surrounding them and pulling at them.
You would've been absolutely indispensable in Benghazi.
garage mahal,
[to Dr. Weevil],
I honestly don't know about this story you keeping harping about. Why not provide a link, and ask me to comment instead of asking why I won't comment?
The gist is that if you are caring for your own disabled child, and are being reimbursed for your care through Medicaid, you are therefore forced to join the SEIU, and to pay dues as a an SEIU member. Information that you could have obtained in about ten seconds of Googling, as I did.

I'm pretty sure Garage has kids. I've talked to him on the phone, too. He doesn't sound as old as he looks in that photo.
Anyone have a link for an uncut video? The one at the link shows the assault starting at about 39 seconds in. The assault starts right after a cut in the video, as the union person is getting up from the ground. I'd like to see video that shows how he ended up on the ground before I make a judgement on the incident.
@PMJ: But otherwise garage is a commie. The only reason I cut him slack is because he reminds me of Stan Bran.
... or do they know something about the willingness of the authorities to enforce the law?
That's strange, Professor. You asked the question, and then answered it yourself.
President Mom Jeans is either Fen or Jay, I'm leaning toward Jay. He also sounds very much like Whores. Could it be? I'm thinking yes . Even Meth isn't quite that sick.

I'm almost positive that if you're child is on Medicaid that therefore you are forced to join the SEIU. Has to be more to the story?
When garage mahal writes "I honestly don't know about this story you keeping harping about", he is being grossly dishonest. Anyone who looks at my comments and his comments on this thread from Sunday can see that he could not possibly have missed the point I made there, or the link I gave in my first comment there. He chose to ignore my question because he can't answer it.
In a country of 300 million people and 100 million plus guns one has to be an idiot to punch someone that you don't know is unarmed. One of these days there is going to be a tragedy.
As for the remark about garage's kid or anyone else's kid in general or who comment here, that's just beyond the pale.
As for the union thugs in MI, great way to win hearts and minds. Keep this up and they might find Snyder and the legislature kicking this up a notch and going full Walker.
Is she serious? If you recieve Medicaid for your child and you care for her you must join SEIU? Is this for real?
I don't believe that, link please.
Well in that case, then thats out of line. There are plenty of other ways to put down the portly packer proponent.
And Inga, you ignorant trollup, you are free to believe whatever you want. I have never commented under any other handle, but I realize your dim booze addled mind has a hard time of understanding why multiple people point out your foolishness.
But its touching that you come leaping to the defense of your fellow husky douchebag. Perhaps you could start a union, Fatties Local Wisconsin.
The trough is shrinking.
If they were a government, they'd just print money and write a few more laws every year to make sure they got their cut.
Unions, on the other hand, were originally valuable for their votes.
When their numbers (public sector, at any rate) began to decline the State didn't worry because they were so useful for laundering money.
Now that the unions have killed their industries, they can provide neither votes in great numbers nor money - which is siphoned off in ever greater amounts by the union "leaders" - because for the State to pay a Union, it has to at least pretend to make something.
The trough is getting smaller. And there will be blood. They got that right.
Stan Bran cultural reference.
Hah. One of my friends chides me about getting an outdoor fishing show on an upper cable channel, to compete with another friend who I have a healthy competitive relationship with. "Start small!"
Fish have been on the feed bag on the Madison chain. I would probably post some pics were it not some people on this blog wishing death on my family.
For Inga, whose faith in unions is touchingly naive, here are the title, subtitle, and first paragraph of the story garage mahal claims never to have heard of, which I linked in my previous post (the whole thing is here):
New Law Frees Home Health Care Providers From Stealth Unionization, Dues Skim
Illegal arrangement that netted SEIU $29.4 million from the developmentally disabled comes to an end
MIDLAND — Michigan’s 60,000 home health care aides will no longer be deemed government employees — meaning they cannot be forced into a government employee union and have dues withheld — as a result of legislation signed today by Gov. Rick Snyder. The next step is for the Michigan Department of Community Health to immediately stop the collection of dues from subsidy payments intended to assist developmentally disabled adults and the diversion of those funds to the Service Employees International Union, said Patrick J. Wright, director of the Mackinac Center Legal Foundation.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
Yes, Inga, some Michigan unions are utterly vile extortionist thugs.
And I'm deeply disappointed that the governor or the courts did not find some way to make them pay back, with interest, every penny they extorted from the caretakers.
President Jay Jeans only you and Jay ever call anyone on this blog a fattie without having ever met them. What a stupid thing to say.
God willing, you'll [whores] go first though.
Won't be soon enough.
"Is she serious? If you recieve Medicaid for your child and you care for her you must join SEIU? Is this for real?
I don't believe that, link please."
It's easy enough to imagine. If you care for your own child at home and get state funds, if state "medicaid" funds require home health care providers to belong to the union and union membership for home health care providers is mandatory (not "right to work") then parents would have to be classified as home health care providers under the law (to get the medicaid) and why *wouldn't* they be subject to mandatory union membership?
That's how mandatory union membership works, right?
Bitch please,
Everyone saw that nasty picture you used to have up under your old name, and Althouse herself called out tubby when he told everyone his height and weight.
It's an inevitable part of the menopause and all those extra alcohol calories. Embrace it, buy yourself some Dove bath products for whatever lefty version of Christmas your chubby ass celebrates.
The parents aren't employees, so they are in no need of a union. This is wrong, I'm not in favor of any such scheme.
Also not all unions are the same. The Califorinia Nurses Association actually had a war of sorts with SEIU.
President Jay Jeans, time for your meds, run along now.
Everyone saw that nasty picture you used to have up under your old name, and Althouse herself called out tubby when he told everyone his height and weight.
One of the commenters here, who is a friend of Althouse, posts here using a picture of me in their avatar. Althouse asked me if she could post the backstory, but to date hasn't.
Anyhow, where is your pic? I asked you before but you said you had to get back to work. Are you at work now?
"Also not all unions are the same. The Califorinia Nurses Association actually had a war of sorts with SEIU."
I'm not actually anti-union. I can think of any number of important, useful, things that unions could provide for workers.
But how would there be a "war" if workers were free to either join a union or join whatever they felt served them best? If you wanted the benefits the SEIU offered, go with that. If you liked the Nice Nurses Union better, go with them.
If you don't think that you need the services of any available union... the legal advice hot line is a dud and the suplementary insurance is a scam... then don't belong to any.
It's all good.
It's only a fight over the pie when the winner gets the pie.
I really want to be part of a retirement account. I want to enjoy all the rewards that people who contribute to that retirement account enjoy. BUT, I don't want to contribute! Rick Snyder, Republicans, David Koch, please HALP. Not fair!
My son is a Millwright and belongs to a union, he has great health insurance and retirement benefits. I belonged to one union when I worked a the Milwaukee County Hospital years ago, absolutely no complaints. My sister also a nurse, worked for the VA for many years, belonged to the union again no complaints and actually helped her out of a bad situation once.
My daughter is an employment attorney, unions do give their members extra protection under the NLRA.
Ann, once again I invite you to review Garage's posts afresh to see whether they are "good faith" contributions to healthy debate, as opposed to just hateful, spiteful, reflexively contrarian trolling.
It's your blog, but just damn.
Yet pogo101 doesn't say a word about Whoresoftheinternet or President Mom Jeans vile comments.
Lord.
Inga what is your point about unions? If they work so well for relatives, great. Then it's worth it for them to pay the dues. They wouldn't need compulsory membership and dues. People would freely join and pay for it. Nothing about a right to work act prevents that and unions aren't required to bargain for non-members. So what's the problem with right to work? If unions were worth it for most people, they would join. What is it with liberals always trying to compel people to whatever they want ?
I belonged to one union when I worked a the Milwaukee County Hospital years ago, absolutely no complaints.
Well of course not. It's not usually the union members who have the complaints. It's the people who depend on whatever service they're supposed to provide.
Still, if someone doesn't want to join the union, why should he be forced to? Particularly since part of his paycheck may be going to support political causes he disagrees with.
@ Inga Did you google for the info about the SEIU grabbing $$ monthly from parents who care for their kids and are reimbursed by the Medicaid?
It's there. Walk your little fingers around the internet and see. ($6 million a year in Michingan alone?)
R-I-P-O-F-F And it's taxpayers money ...
The California Nurse Association broke with the American Nurse Associations version of a nurses union years ago. The CNA promptly went to war with the SEIU, going after workers who were already organized by SEIU because nurses should be represented by a nursing union was the thinking. The two butted heads for years with ugliness on both sides. The ANA union was nea useless but the CNA was and still is, vvery radical and leftist. About three years ago several state union organizations left the ANA and joined with the CNA and created the National Nurses Union. They are quite radical and use the threat of striking as a foremost strategy. I know I am a forced uniin member of the NNU. I am a Michigander and will uncouple from the union as sooon as I am able. Because of its aggressive tactics and my hospitals willingness to take it to the wall when peoplle where fearful of losing their job, we actually lost quite a bit in our last contract. The union came close to a decertification vote because people were disgusted by what was goingg on. That is why the union settled a crappy contract so they wouldn't completely lose their ass. The real issues that need to be dealt with in nursing never, never are. The head of the NNU makes way more than I do as does her husband, who happens to have a job with the union too. A pox on them.
From everything I've seen when unions get involved in demonstrations, strikes, etc. there is almost always anger and violence. I have never seen footage of a demonstration involving unions that didn't at least involve verbal confrontations and there is usually some sort of physical assault. This includes the strike I was forced to be involved in when I lived in Oregon. The situation is an invitation to violence and it easily turns into a mob. It starts with words, but almost never ends there.
It's not surprising, but it's not possible to defend it.
Conservatives and libertarians, never protest without a martial artist in tow.
