"In reaction to yesterday's 6-5 vote to ban public nudity.... Our photographer was on the scene to bring you more than an eyeful."
I love the first pic at the link, both before and after clicking the sanitized-for-your-protection-rectangle-of-propriety or whatever you call that thing. Not that thing. That thing. We've already established that you call that thing a "wang."

Ugh.
At first glance I though these guys are uncircumcised, they must be from foreign lands or off the farm. Then I realised it was just cold.
Wang is a now defunct computer company. The correct terminology is a "dong."
What a backwards, provincial town.
McTriumph - it's always cold in San Francisco. They think 80 is a heat wave.
Why are the men so much freakier than the women?
Anyway, Peter should like Gypsy Taub.
Let them try that silly shit in Madison today and they'd freeze their lilly white asses off.
I love the caption that begins: "noted local naked person. . ." Newspaper people really have to work at explaining and captioning San Francisco clown shows. Formulations that would work in the Columbus Dispatch or Reno Gazette just don't quite cut it in SF.
I'm shocked to see some actual naked women at one of those protests. Usually it's a total sausage-fest!
And I agree with MayBee about Peter's undoubted joy upon viewing Gypsy Taub.
Well, someone thinks they're all that.
Anyway, Peter should like Gypsy Taub.
There are little love hearts floating above my head.
I thought Harry Callahan established the public nudity standard in SF 30+ years ago, or was that the "intent to commit rape" standard?
San Francisco has gone a long way downhill since I used to visit "The City" and my great aunt, who, like most women of her day, was always in a knit suit and white gloves

You forget the "Wang Center/ Theater" still lives.
A very "spiritual" place. (It was 1986.)
Was it from a movie or a book that the quote "You call that a dick?" comes from?
During yesterday's live broadcast of The Five, political commentator, USA Today columnist and Fox News co-host Bob Beckel suggested San Francisco's nudists and nude activists prefer their au naturale lifestyle due to childhood sexual abuse...
Beckel explained: "Most of them were gang banged, probably." He then shrugged off the comment with a laugh saying, "I don't know, they could have had sexual assault on them." He followed his comments by claiming he "didn't use any crude language." Referring to his use of the term "gang bang" he said, "there's nothing wrong with that," before making a weak apology for the folks at the FCC.
Now that you mention it, San Francisco is an odd place to choose to demand to be nude. It's always chilly.
On the other hand, it's probably the only place in the universe where you would see or hear the words "Noted local naked person."
In Germany in the summer people get on trolleys nude and ride for free because they don't have change. Big deal.
I guess I'll have to stay away from Zombietime for a while.

It's the Alaska Current, similar to the Gulf Stream on the Right Coast, but cold, not warm water.
If you ever want to go snorkeling in Puerto Vallarta, for God's sake, bring your wetsuit.
and it is the Japanese currnet.
San Francisco hasn't been a child friendly place for decades. All nudity Intellectualising aside think about it. A small children spend their lives having adults fart in their faces, but in SF and evidently on German buses they also have to dodge penises.
Gypsy Taub certainly isn't the only natural woman in San Francisco. There are three types of women who sometimes remain in their magnificent natural states today - hippie chicks, Asian women, and lesbians - and San Francisco is full of all three types.
The newlywed couple in the background do not seem interested in joining the protest.
I was in San Francisco once for a weekend and it was one of the worst places I have ever visited.
They are overly impressed with themselves. It is a shithole with too many hills.
Leave it to these morons and let them run around with their dicks out.
You get the city you deserve.
"Noted local naked person."
Madison has "Segway Jeremy" - don't know - maybe "noted local naked person" would be a better alternative.
Yeah, that city's nuts.
"You get the city you deserve."
Indecent people chased out decent people over time; all that is left are the indecent, the indifferent, and a vanishingly small group resisting and hanging on.
But, the city's nuts.

Actually, we're both wrong. Japan, or Kuroshio, is on the Asian side, although it flows into the North Pacific Current.
The one I was thinking of is the California Current, which comes out of the North Pacific Current, so Hagar is closer than I am.

The Blonde was there for a conference and the hotel was cheek by jowl with Chinatown, so she had a ball, but the Baron's point is sharp.
It's kind of Baaston on the Pacific

Ain't that the truth.

Why are almost all nudists ugly?
Evidently they don't own any mirrors?
Sheesh...
By whatever name, it makes Puget Sound very cold and an awful climate at Ft. Ord.
Honestly I think that nudists are ugly because they aren't the only other naked people we see which are mostly the very prettiest people in magazines and on television.
That's not approval, just an observation.
Clothes and other standards of public decency are what you do for other people. Demanding that you don't have to do anything for other people is a declaration of selfishness, be it putting some clothes over your privates because you respect others or refraining from "adult" displays or language in places that children have every right to be.
It's the ultimate selfishness.
Getting naked in San Francisco!
As usual, the problem is... Where are the naked women?
They are overly impressed with themselves.
That was my impression of the Seattle area during a visit a few months ago.
Where have you gone, David Niven?!
As usual, the problem is... Where are the naked women?
Even just topless would suffice as featured in a previous episode of Althouse.
Follow the bread crumb trail back to the professional redhead.

This also why they are a sanctuary city for illegals--they are forced to import workers and their families.
If only all cities were the same!
wyo sis,
On the other hand, [SF is] probably the only place in the universe where you would see or hear the words "Noted local naked person."
Technically, no. Berkeley, for some years, had "The Naked Guy." He had a long history of mental illness, and ultimately killed himself, but for many years he used to hang out in his birthday suit around campus. This is more practical in Berkeley than in SF -- more sun, less fog, warmer temperatures.
Back in the eighties, I vacationed at Club Med. There were a lot of French women there. On the beach they went topless and frequently bottomless. For the most part they were attractive women and pleasant to look at. There was huge jolt of eroticism around a select few, but one soon became blase about the nudity of most women. For most women, clothes are sexier than nudity. If nudity was sexier than clothing, we would see far more naked women.
But, the city's nuts.
Your apostrophe is ambiguous.

Are all these dicks on welfare? Who has the time for this nonsense except the professionally unemployed?
All cities are not the same. It is just that Frisco thinks that it is this great unbelievable city.
It is second rate at best.
When you go the natives ask you if you have visited all the tourist places. Like Alcatraz.
What kind of place is it that the biggest tourist sire is a prison?
It would be like if you came to New York and they asked you "Hey have you been to Rikers Island! It is really something to see."
It's the Humboldt current.
An interesting fact is that due to the Coriolis effect the surface temperature of the water off the California coast can be colder in July than January as there is an upwelling of the cold deep water to the surface forming the famous summer fog bank that envelops San Francisco and the Bay.
One of the truly awesome sights is the thousand foot thick fog bank pouring over the East Bay hills like a slow motion waterfall and evaporating before it can move any farther east.
San Francisco itself is a fascinating city with diverse and distinct neighborhoods that feel like different worlds. Some are pretty awful and some are just magnificent, and the hills, terrain, and micro-climates make for a variety that is truly unique. Few tourists ever get to see but a small portion of what the city has to offer. I could outline a tour of the city that would impress even the most jaded traveler.
There are plenty of colorful and undesirable elements, true, but really they are still a fringe, even in San Francisco.
San Francisco is to cities what Hamburger Helper is to fine dining.
They used to hold the How Berkeley Can You Be parade in Sept. One of the groups was the nudists. Average age was 30. Accomplished by adding 55 and 5. It was clear when I saw these people for for some clothing is a social kindness.
Why do I get the feeling that Baron Zemo is from Passaic?

Not anymore. He died. I mean I think he died. He was on his death bed a few months ago. Surely he must have passed by now. Right?

My dear fellow I am from Leipzig
originally. The most beautiful city in the world.
While San Francisco is a plox on the penis of America.
San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the country, possibly the world, (yes, I went there) and it has a lot to offer culturally. Unfortunately, it has a hopelessly provincial, myopic, narrow-minded, greedy government. Always has. The only things the hippies/60s changed was the surface stuff; hairstyles and lifestyles. People like those in the photographs are attracted to greedy government centers (they're doing their show right on the steps of our gold-plated City Hall) because they are useful/less idiots; unemployed and shameless.
