Look for diamonds in the rough. And Aliens.
============ Been there. The columns are basalts...but "special ones" . Supposedly the oldest rock formation, or one of the oldest.. in the United States.
You see the Hexagon shape, but not developed all the way. If you want that, visit Giants Causeway in Ireland....waaaaay cool.
Enjoy your White Country Club national forest, paid for by our Blacks, Hispanics and Native Amerikans, who almost never see them as visitors.
Out of 4000 visitors I saw in 15 national parks, forests, BLM lands and beaches last Winter from Colorado to California, there were 4 Blacks and 3 Latinos (Mexican citizens).
If Walmart were so racist and discriminatory, they would be sued to oblivion, which is the proper destiny of "public" lands.
I don't know that Hispanics do things as silly as hiking back trails for the sake of hiking, but the Cibola National Forrest abounds with extended families having cookouts (I know that *I* wouldn't haul a charcoal grill that far) or collecting pine nuts.
Nice little screed there jimbino. You must loathe yourself, having visited so many country clubs on someone else's dime. You probably saw breeders too. How can you even go on?
Sorry, you fascists out there, but I am tired of your White Country Club bullshit.
I imagine that Ann and Meade actually agree with me: we are a country that maintains a racist and discriminatory gummint that countenances rape of the poorest and most disadvantaged among us in order to support our various White Country Clubs, of which the national parks and forests are the prime examples.
I ask Meade and Ann to comment on the de facto racism that surrounds them.
Hmm... So I'm beginning to piece together jimbino's psychopathology: it has something to do with his possible offspring and the circumstances of the birth, a woman, possibly from another country and now, with this new clue, I'd guess that it took place in or near a national park.
I'm still trying to figure out where putting a "k" in his spelling of "America" fits in...

And here I was thinking, Boy. That looks like some good pocket water there. I wonder if I wandered down there with a rod and a dry fly if there are in trouts in it. Did not give one thought to the political ramifications of that action.

On the way to Gelbstein Park?

¡Cuidado!
Serpientes.
Sorry. I took the sign for my bedroom. I liked the snake.

I think Devils Tower is farther south.
Chasing Althouse in the Bighorn Forest must be exciting.
Meade doing that on Cambrian rock strata on top of 2.9 billion year old rocks sort of puts the dance of life in perspective.
Nice. Thanks.
Why is it called Shell Falls?
Because it's a waterfall on Shell Creek
Why is it called Shell Creek?
Because it runs through Shell Canyon
Why is called Shell Canyon?
Wikipedia doesn't say
Did they at least tell you, Professor? Meade?

You look like you're having fun, Madame.
If you're in the bighorns, are going to see the battlefield?
This is cool... in Australia (unless I'm very confused). Explains the process just a little bit but mostly it's pictures.

The rock-falls at 1:00 you'd swear were man-made ruins or ancient castle steps.
Waterfalls are always a delight.

Cool. And it's OK to pet the buffalo. Really, it is. They like you scratch them behind the ears. That's what my ex told me.
Your record keeping is admirable, Jimbino.

That's the fisheye lens on both photos...
Thanks for the explanation, Professor Obvious.
Starting to wonder if jimbino isn't Hatman in drag.
Same Lefty boilerplate.
... not to be too snarky though. Looks like you're having fun.
I hope to get to Yellowstone next year.
Thank you. I enjoy your photos. You take fantastic trips that spark wonderful memories for me. At least until we take the next trip of our own.
Jimbino, I pity the small crimped crumpled person that your comments convey. You bring bitterness as well as error to a very high level indeed.

You didn't take the second one?
