"If the Democrats said we had a war on caterpillars, and mainstream media outlet talked about the fact that Republicans have a war on caterpillars..."

"... then we have problems with caterpillars," said RNC chair Reince Priebus, giving Democrats an opening to feign outrage over comparing women to caterpillars.

...You could hardly see the mouths of these white or slightly grayish caterpillars, but your could sense they were impatient to nourish there secretion. Through their four moultings, the caterpillars, every one for itself, were themselves, in themselves, for themselves, only the time of a passage...There was indeed something like a mouth but you could not recognize it in the orifice you had to imagine to be at the origin of their silk, this milk become thread, this filament prolinging their body and remaining attached to it for a certain length of time: the extruded saliva of a very fine sperm, shiny, gleaming, the miracle of a feminine ejaculation...

It's all part of the cocooning.

The media heard woman and caterpillar, ergo he must have meant that women are caterpillars. Women need to enter the media cocoon before they realize their beauty and fly away with pretty wings to some cave where little white men live.

Or do caterpillars form chrysalises? I don't remember.

Or dear. Now Dowd will write a story about being cosseted behind caterpillars.

I would have used AKC registered bitches for the metaphor instead of caterpillars. It seems elite pedigrees are a prerequisite for outrage nowadays. Maureen Dowd, etc.

I guess he could have said a war on angels or ... Oh hell, I can't even think of anything they wouldn't turn into an insult.

This meme is gonna peak too soon for the Obama, and women are gonna rush to Romney to avoid being seen as failing the IQ test in November. Yes ladies, we are watching.

I wonder if Priebus, Walker, or any other GOP state leader believe the firebombing of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Appleton last Sunday was a fake war on women. Or any Republican in the state. So far, they have not commented. And there is a complete media blackout on it, you'd think the liberal media would pick up on that actual war on women.

Wasn't the guy who firebombed the Planned Parenthood a career criminal, described as "unstable" and with no known ties to any pro-life group?

Isn't it odd to try and associate him with Republicans when... well, he's not even remotely related, at all?

How is there a complete media black out on it when Salon (http://www.salon.com/2011/07/30/planned_parenthood_terrorism/), WaPo (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/blogpost/post/planned-parenthood-clinic-in-wisconsin-fire-bombed/2012/04/02/gIQASCXWrS_blog.html), The Examiner, ThinkProgress, WGBA-TV -- even this site (http://www.newshounds.us/20120403_fox_news_ignores_wisconsin_planned_parenthood_firebombing) notes that CNN and MSNBC have written articles on it.

So... how is it when it is covered in local and national news media and across the blogosphere -- how could we argue it is a media blackout?

Garage, try Google. It helps you find news.

Garage, old chap, the media doesn't have time to deal with your little abortion clinic bombing, they're still busy trying to frame up George Zimmerman (aka "The White Hispanic").

Garage: war on women.

Let me get this straight from the Left's perspective.

1) A global jihadist organization declares war on the US, recruits suicide bombers and gunmen, make relentless attacks on Western civilians, and that is a "Law Enforcement Matter."

2) A lone nut does something that no reputable anti-abortion group advocates bombs a clinic, and that is "A War on Women."

3) An Hispanic man shoots a black teenager and it's "A White Race War Against Blacks."

4) Black teenagers kill each other at a terrifying rate and it's "Structural Racism Destroying Young Black Men."

Do you understand why we laugh at people like you?

GM: When I hear that a building was "firebombed," I expect to find out that it was at least gutted by flames, if not entirely razed to the ground. All I read concerning the Appleton clinic was that the paint was kind of singed near a window. Maybe that explains the media blackout? It was a non-story.

This is laughably ridiculous, even for you. You want everyone to feign outrage because some guy lit a firecracker near a Planned Parenthood. That's some "war on women."

I'm not a Republican but I will confess to once waging my own little war on a tribe of caterpillars who had set up camp in an apple tree I was responsible for.

First I offered them free caterpillar contraception. They sneered.

Then I offered them unrestricted abortion on demand. They gave me the finger(s).

So I introduced to them a handsome male Democrat caterpillar named Bill who had a sexually transmittable disease.

Boy, we're they sorry.

Nah, that's not it. There is very little talk about Zimmerman in the state by our media betters. They could be too busy talking about a handful of photo techs in a news room that had the temerity to sign a recall petition against Scott Walker though. Normally, a politically motivated bomb/arson story inside Wisconsin would catch the watchful eye of Althouse, but then again, there is media darkness on the story and it very well may be that she hasn't even heard about it.

The Lefties have to get all the mileage they can out of this because, the second Santorum is gone, the whole thing falls apart.

And it looks like they're gonna blow this one even before that. The "outrage" is starting to sound like Mollie Yard and Kate Michelman throwing a hissy fit because Strom Thurmond, ol' South'n Gen'leman and lady-killer that he was, treated them like ladies instead of womyn.

The second Barry opened his mouth about Augusta you could hear people thinking, "Perrier summit?".

So attempted arson? It was at a Planned Parenthood clinic, and Planned Parenthood has been a political football this past year, and this was not even the first attack this year in Wisconsin on Planned Parenthood

"Lang replied he wished he “could line them up all in a row, get a machine gun, and mow them all down,”

What do you think it going on?

Garage: Good question. Sounds like you have one crazy guy and another crazy guy. How come when crazy people happen to line up with someone on the right, they are indicative of the movement as a whole, but the violent crazies on the left who do things like murder people at OWS movements are, well, outsiders or false flag operations?

How come all the right-wing criminals are mainstream members of their movements, while left-wing criminals are all exiled lone wolves?

It's almost like they have different standards.

I'm laughing at you because of the absurd way you use the word war. There is no war on women. It's a drummed up war, a freakin' Tonkin Gulf made up by your political masters. I'm laughing because when we actually are at war, your leaders downplay it as "a law enforcement matter." Or take our "kinetic action" in Libya-- Oh no, that wasn't war because no one was shooting back.

But a lone nut attacks an abortion clinic? War on Women.
Conservatives object to forcing religious institutions to offer contraceptives? War on Women.

Orwell would have had a gas talking to you.

Why should they? Obama has been silent on the violence and killing of blacks in Chicago. Should he comment on that?
