One year ago today at the Wisconsin protests: Protesters storm the Capitol.

"Meade, who is in the building now, tells me, by phone, that he saw a window on the Wisconsin Avenue side of the building opened and protesters entering through that window."

"Chaos at the Wisconsin Capitol tonight.... people entering, as the state troopers stand by."

"Shortly after 8 p.m., hundreds of protesters gathered outside the locked King Street entrance to the Capitol, chanting 'Break down the door!' and 'General strike!'"

"Fists and uvulas waving..."

Grim determination.

Police overwhelmed.

This, IIRC, was when Walker took control and the people were firmly on his side.

'General strike!'"

I think that's only a threat if you do something useful for a living.

Maybe in their next life, police can come back as Affluent American women?

Guns are guaranteed by performance, not Constitutional pillow talk.

Walker sets up legal defense fund for John Doe probe.

This would appear to be a game changer.

I find it ironic that Meade thinks that people entering the Capitol at that time was worthy of all caps. And that there was no security preventing them from bringing in "anything." Fast forward to when metal detectors were taken out, instead of in, as a result of the concealed carry law, but cameras are prohibited in the Assembly chamber. And wiggle fingers in the gallery constitutes disorderly conduct.

The Constitution has indeed been turned on its head in our state, we have fallen down the rabbit hole, and a little hysteria seems to be in order about THAT.

Okay, explain the irony part please. Consider carefully. Two parties. Two separate stories. Two stories intertwined, both with unexpected and related results. That's irony. The emphasis would be on unexpected results. You cannot take something unusual, something strange, something that doesn't seem to follow, or something that you don't like, or some 'but what about this' that is stuck in your craw put it with something you notice and call it ironic. It isn't.

"Fists and uvulas waiving". Somehow, that did not strike me as being odd at all.

Really? Because from your link:
"We reiterate that Gov. Walker has been told that he is not a target of this investigation ," Matthews said."

Yawn. But with Kathleen Falk as your candidate I can see why you would continue to clutch at straws.

You can't set up a legal defense fund in Wisconsin unless you are being investigated, or being prosecuted for something. Ruh roh.

You know what keeps me awake at night? The thought of Chip Ahoy devastatingly pulling the blanket off of a thoughtless or ignorant remark of mine.

That and Iran.

@Chip. Yes I can. "Two stories intertwined, both with unexpected and related results. That's irony."

Was it my conclusion you disliked? Because something seems to have stuck in your craw.
