"EPA Backpedals on Fracking Contamination."

"The Environmental Protection Agency has dropped its claim that an energy company contaminated drinking water in Texas, the third time in recent months that the agency has backtracked on high-profile local allegations linking natural-gas drilling and water pollution."

Kids, what day is it today? It's Friday, the day where Obama administration does its unpleasant news dump. I fully expect more a wee bit later.

The construction of a phony science takes years of writing fake treatises and establishing academic departments and faked professional societies that publish faked articles award fake credentials so that their operatives will be The Expert Witnesses on the subject and no one else will have access to the faked credentials to oppose their Big Lie. In the end the payoff is well worth the 10 years it takes to create.

But the fracking science is real one and also is so well developed that it can defend itself from Big Lie Inc( a/k/a Obama's appointed point women at EPA and HSA).

Back to the drawing board.

You just know they're going to keep trying.

That's what they were hired to do.

The EPA, being a political animal, simply makes up 'facts' to further whatever the political aim of their masters.

Science as little to do with their 'science'.

Hey, "fracking" just sounds bad.

On nearly every subject on this blog, I am far from an expert and usually just a wise ass. On this I can say with near certainty that while there are documented cases of drilling and injection well activity contaminating drinking water (especially in the past), anyone who claims fracking is contaminating drinking water or causing earthquakes is most likely ignorant of basic geology and/or motivated by an agenda which requires ignoring facts.

Facts can be a real pain.

Especially when they're commonly known.

Good. Looks like Sackett v EPA is having some impact. Unfortunately, until government bureaucrats are held personally responsible for their blatant over reaches and abuses, I'm afraid this will be a passing phase.

All energy used is entropy, from fire to sunlight, the percentage gained vs the percentage used for useful conversion is the trick. All energy generation has an environmental cost. The trick is thermodynamics, and politics.

They ought to require such officials to post surety bonds out of their own paychecks, and then drastically curtail immunity for these officials.

If they engage in these abusive practices, the victims can sue on the bond, so the government doesn't have to pay with public money (and no sovereign immunity issues). And the bond issuer can then get restitution from the official personally.

For that matter, they ought to require members of Congress post bonds for any possible malfeasance in bankrupting the country.

So the defendant was faced with a lawsuit for 14 months and those $75,000 a day fines.... Whatever comes now, they aren't made whole by the EPA dropping the lawsuit....

No matter what. Thermodynamics always wins.

In other words, the EPA got caught lying about pollution and the petrolium industry, specifically, fracking, trying to get fracking shut down as an environmental hazard.

The EPA needs to be disbanded. They are rogue and politically compromised.
