The latest edition of Fortune arrived in my mailbox today suggesting Madison as a good retirement spot for the "lifetime learner."
Based on the artwork depicted in the previous post and the evening stroll shown in this one, I think I'll just cross that suggestion off my personal list.
So are the tent spaces first come first taken, or is there a Peoples Kommittee on Tent Space Allocation, or what? Can you pitch a tent whose manufacturer gave money to the Walker campaign? Are the tents considered private domiciles? Are we expecting any more hail?
William F. Buckley exposed James Farmer and his 1960's idiocy, perfectly as could be.
The 1964 Civil Rights Act was aimed at providing the federal government the power to determine who worked where, based 100% on race.
You have no clue why, about what the arguments were framed, or how it matters today. Don't worry though, like everything else, it's of nothing.
Buckley won every debate he entered. Men greater than me classified Buckley as a "peerless debater."
And he's not honored. Not admired in any magnitude comparable to Lady Gaga.
In hindsight, I'm most glad a dumbshit doomsayer (quote me on the anti-Buckley Steyn now; I'm quite confident Buckley's enormousity will so outweigh Steyn's anti-American [as an American Mr. Steyn, not a successful capitalist as of yet notwithstanding, I can assure you proliferating class warfare via K.S. is not an American accepted value and is as anti-Buckley as Teddy Kennedy] anti-epistemological optimist like Steyn gets to, as the most extreme example of an ingrate I've known, capitolize on William F. Buckley's name.
That has to be 85 kinds of illegal, pitching tents on a public sidewalk like that, permit notwithstanding.
But kudos to you guys, walking unescorted past those nuts, particularly the SEIU tent. Meadhouse would, of course, be arrested if it was packing heat under the circumstances.
PS Forget Team Six. When Panetta wants to take out Zawahiri, all he needs is you two.
I don't know about everybody else, but the last couple of days trying to open this blog and the individual threads, has become an Entrance Into Slowville.
Just the fact that they're unwilling to accept the election results is enough reason to despise these low- lifes. They seem to think nobody but themselves is entitled to participate. The time for these theatrics was over last November.

Well it's about time. We know the Republicans could never come up with something this effective for themselves. Gotta give credit where it's due.
And Althouse, you're just a Republican shill for giving the liberals this free publicity for their publicity stunt.
I myself am a plant of the Democratic National Committee, according to one loon, here posting at Althouse on a Saturday night.

I wonder how many nights will pass before a drunk stumbles down from Paradise or Shamrock Bar and pisses on a tent.

You have what the French used to call cran.
Wow, haven't seen that idiotic "Stars replaced by Corporate Logos" flag since college. They probably sell them by the gross in Madison.
Do they have designated places set aside for unionized government hookers to set up camp?

Checking my Task Manager, I see that the iexplore.exe revs up to 100% of the usage. Every time that I open anything. That's not good.
I have become my father.
I doubt that the occupants of Hooverville were in anything comparable to $600 North Face or Mountain Hardware tents.
These poor, oppressed people in Madison really have it good, don't they.
The city must be run by a bunch of morons to allow such stupidity.

What kind of a sick state has Wisconsin become?
