Humble gum.

I was ready to hate this guy, because I expect arrogance from artists.

You need to fight that bias Ann, look what it did to Jay Gould!

I like the gum artist's work.

Please consider that many of us are but mere humble conservatives.

Real deal. Look at his clothes. I don't know how painters get that casual everything-where-it's-supposed-to-be look but he's got it.

I'm also fascinated that he's an outsider artist who ain't crazy, or even a little weird.

No, I'm sorry. Gum does not count.

The pictures are very clever, but this is in the same ballpark as Laura Ziskin's blow for feminism.

The artist is another Muswell Hillbilly!

I'm an artist myself, using pen-and-ink, charcoal, and acrylic paint as my media. (Not all at once!) I'm also a political conservative, and a Christian - for what it's worth. Art actually keeps me humble. I do portraits in black and white, and paint aviation, motorcycle, and glamour scenes. My art keeps me humble - simply because it challenges me! (And I admit to being sensitive to criticism.)
