The smoke is so thick in the air that we can't see the mountains. Breathing catches in the bad of your throat just a little. And the fire is in Arizona?

The sun glowing a deep orange before it went below the crest was pretty impressive though, and veiled enough that you could look right at it.

Though is seems like the Kyrie to me.

I sang in a public performance of this under Robert Fountain long ago.

If you came to all the rehearsals you could sing in the chorus.
