I'm moving, and, even though it's for a good reason (new job, which was desparately needed), I've been feeling pretty down about it, as I really like my old town and old house.
The other day I was thinking how funny it is that so much of my life is changing, and yet, Althouse and the group will be exactly the same, no matter where I login from.
Best of luck, Lyssa, and congrats on the job. I know it's hard and I'm sorry you're down, but here's hoping everything turns out better than you can possibly hope.
The environment for commenters will be really nice!
As nice as the women's bathroom at the country club? (When I was a kid, that was, in my opinion, the nicest place. A semi-secret series of over-fancy rooms and amenities you'd never see in another public bathroom. And you could run around and explore it while the adults were in the lobby talking about golf or whatever it was that they talked about.)

I prefer the Red Dots.
How come Mr. Potato hasn't picked up on those?

*** FROST ALERT ***
The tree circles (dots?) in my front yard are now gone. Hooray!
From today, dare we hope?
Looks like something from a lot further south.
Very springy.
Amazing pic. Like the crabapple, the foreground seems almost like 3D. Are you using a special setting?
Bushman: Yeah, here--further south, even--we're being warned of scattered frost. Last week we spiked into the 90s. Tonight, we're looking at the 30s.
"From today, dare we hope?"
From yesterday.

And now, this happens. . .

Althouse & commenters will still be Althouse & commenters even from an edgy new URL, right?

It will be even better. The environment for commenters will be really nice!
Note that we are one day past our " final frost" date.
The hummingbirds are back in town. My feeder has been very busy the last few days!
