Actually conservatives want everyone to be able to produce the papers to prove their bona fides, especially when voting. It has nothing whatsoever to do with black or white or green or yellow or any other color you might come up with. McCain came up with his documents and proved his qualifications before the Dems even passed that bill in the House and Senate saying what was already proven, that he was qualified. Meanwhile from the Dems and Obama? Crickets. So you ask for the equivalent and what do we hear but RACIST!!! Reading the last 150 comments makes me want to give Alpha Liberal an A for effort. He singlehandedly pointed a well argued finger of shame on rascist commenters here 50 times. And despite the virtuoso performance by AL, no one felt the need to "prove it ain't so, Joe". That means Obama cannot win re-election on the sole issue he won on in 2008.

Chris Mathews wants "me" to stand up and say, Obama is as much an American as I am.
