Scott Walker is like Hitler because "he doesn't do nice things."

Meade interviews a protester at the Wisconsin Capitol today:

Keep watching for the second woman, who says Walker is undemocratic because he's not listening to the people who didn't vote for him.

Well, what do you expect to hear from a teenager's lips? I'm just surprised you find them congregating at the Rotunda. What happened to the mall?

Here, teenagers congregate at the mall.

And, having been a teenager, once, I know people grow up. (Though Brando died before I gave up hope.)

Hitler was actually pro-union. And there lies the irony with this sign.

The well thought out opposition to Gov. Walker, so coherently outlined by the teen, for whatever reason, reminded of this

Exactly whom among all voters is Obama listening to?

Didn't Pelosi & Reid push through Obamacare, because they didn't think their pushing this law to passage would have consequences?

Yes. Pelosi moved her junk out of the Speaker's office. But only because she thinks she's gonna see the democraps get another victory in 2012. (I wouldn't buy stock.)

Meanwhile this little teenage gal is probably still going to high school. There, is she what is called "a teacher's pet?"

Heck, just coming here, I learned that on the SAT there was an essay question that came from Reality TV (whatever that is). And, the bright students knew it was going to cost them points. And, they got angry enough to complain. While students who were gonna do poorly on the math section, got a bone thrown their way.

I was at WOODSTOCK. And, this is no Woodstock! Not even close.

All I heard was:

"Not doing good things for, like, people, is actually way worse than Hitler. Back in the 1800's, when Hitler ran Alaska, all unions were banned, and the Teachers were turned into dogfood!"

OT - Terror bombing of Libya has started just after Hillary Clinton assumed office of President. How long before capitulation?

Vote in this poll in support of Scott Walker..

Sending Meade out to videotape these people is just, like, mean and hateful.

When Hitler ran for the Reichstag, who did his opponents compare him to?

Meade - is it possible to politely ask the interviewees what they do for a living and if they ever went to school? Better yet, maybe pull a Katie Couric and ask them what newspapers and magzines they read. Heh.

Now you see, that was very educational:

Scott Walker's like Hitler because he's "not nice" and the results of a perfectly legal election is Communism.

It's like that time my class was taken to a mortuary, and there was a baby on one slab and an old lady on the other, and I "got" it.

Yes, I can see Stalin demanding the captured Adolf (yeah, rewrite; Eva stayed at the Berghof, slipped away, wrote her memoirs in the 50s...) be tried at Nuremburg because he wasn't a nice person.

And then they say it's not a Communist country. Cute.

The best part is, without doubt, Walker is bad "because he's not listening to the people who didn't vote for him".

As they once said in the Scinde Irregular Horse (this one's for you, vb), "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?".

Sweetie, that's politics.

Where were these two when The Zero told Eric Cantor, "I Won"?

(I know, I know...)

Hugh Hewitt had an even better question. I remember a caller back in 2006 who said she was an independent and voted "for the person," not by party. He asked her if he could ask her a few questions just to get her political philosophy. Foolishly, she agreed and he asked her who was the vice-president of the US?

Silence. Finally, she said she knew but couldn't remember his name at the moment.

Meltdown doesn't cover it.

For me, that one week of it...

I don't know, I wouldn't say Hitler, but certainly Goebbels.

It was like a little holiday with Hitler

I guess she must read a Hitler biography. He did well at the polls.
He was not nice but his entourage was. A Borman´s daughter living in the USA called him a good father. They were nice people killing 12 millions people while hearing good music and hoarding good art

These leftists, like children, do not distinguish between "listening" to them and giving in to their petulant desires. Fortunately, responsible adults, like Governor Walker, are the ones that say "no" to children.

I have no idea how some of these people even manage to dress themselves in the morning.

That Hitler. He just wasn't very nice.

With due respect for Wisconsin teachers (since my daughter is one), it should be remembered that these grandiose, pampered miseducated nitwits are (in many cases) a product of Wisconsin's educational system.

Room for improvement here, folks.

do you teach your children nothing in Wisconsin?

The people Meade interviews tend to be contradictory and foolish, but they are neither demonic nor unlikable. Still, it amazes me how these two women can be so rabid in their sign making and so moderate in their demeanour.

Odd that they are defaming the Polish Solidarnosc movement and rehabilitating Hitler. Maybe Jonah Goldberg was right.

I have some Hitler crowd photos in Das Deutsche Lightbild (1933 German photo annual) that somebody could photoshop some "Hitler is like Walker signs" into.

I guess we shouldn't have taken away their race card. "Walker is Hitler because he's a meanie!" is all they have left.

The hell, you say! He loved kids and German shepherds. And he was a vegetarian. That's primo Craigslist material, right there.

Perhaps a normal enough reaction, but William, you say that even after the Jim Shankman debacle?

Because, let's be honest: not one person on Althouse would have thought Shankman was capable of writing that screed to Ann, if we had first seen his pic next to the girlfriend.

He makes milquetoast look like rockcake.

This young lady's ignorance is amazing. She knows nothing about Hitler because she has been taught nothing about Hitler. And she is promoting the people who taught her nothing. "Teach your children well ..." Indeed.

KCFleming said...

"This young lady's ignorance is amazing."

At age 37, she will be the head of a very large department in the labyrinthine US Dept. of National Health Care, the one that declines payments because the wrong box was ticked.

She will become no smarter by then. May even be thicker, due to the larger number of false things she has come to believe by then.

And she will be a New Ager. Of course.

Interesting way to frame the events. I attended the capital today in support of the students raising money for the victims of the Tsunami in Japan and what I observed was this wonderful Bakhtin- like carnival. A Koto trained drummer was helping a five year old keep rhythm, young kids on stilts dressed in customs wobbled by as fire fighters marched in parade with drums and bagpipes leading the way while Vietnam Vets looked on, and several women from up-north were gathering signatures to recall a Republican. And yes there were Walker as Hitler signs, along with other more generic ones, and the crowds of folks came and went talking of politics and weather and the NCAA game the Badgers will play tonight. Wisconsin is so cool and creative.

I would say that Meade well-demonstrates the tactic of giving someone enough rope to let them hang themselves, but since Giffords, the left has demanded strict civility in civil discourse, and my words could be misconstrued as including a violent image.

What? I said they demanded it, not that they practiced it.

Rv. Wisconsin is ever so not cool. The last few weeks have made it clear that you are a smug and stupid people. Decadent smug and stupid.

It seems to me that she realized her foolishness, via Meade's beautiful questioning, and wanted to get away but did not have the nerve to do so.
Meade you are truly good at this. I was instantaneously disappointed by your move away, but a split second realized its wisdom.

Pogo,

I've been scrolling down the thread, laughing at the various comments (Victoria's "He loved kids and German shepherds. And he was a vegetarian. That's primo Craigslist material, right there" and "He makes milquetoast look like rockcake" being particular favorites) and then you just came along and KILLED IT!!!

I know, it was an easy lay-up, considering, but I still wasn't ready for it. LOL!

I've been there and met many good, decent, sensible people. Do not base your view on the ramblings of a certain commenter.

Wisconsin is so much more than unions and leftists...

The Hitler stuff sickens me. Tell these people to look at these pictures, read this website, read this book and then show me the connection between Walker and Hitler or any Republican and Hitler.

These self-righteous, spoiled, self-aggrandizing, delusional protesters are teaching these kids a horrible lesson. They minimize what a monster Hitler was. They now equate Hitler with not doing nice things. There's just a slight difference between restricting union bargaining power and expecting teachers to pay towards their pensions, and the torture and murder on millions of defenseless people as well as launching the largest war in history.

The insult this is to all who were killed by Hitler and his forces and all those who fought to stop him is beyond the pale. Unbelievable selfishness.

Hitler liked dogs. Walker likes dogs. CONNECT THE DOTS, PEOPLE!!!

dick said...

It's funny the way all these people keep saying that because Hitler stopped the unions and Walker is trying to rein in the unions they are alike. I guess they never realized that the reason Hitler stopped the unions he did was because those unions were the base of the Communist party of the day and the unions provided the thugs the Communists sent out to do battle with the Nazis. By getting of the unions Hitler was essentially getting rid of the base of the Communists in Germany. These people also don't seem to realize that Hitler also had his own unions that he used to provide additional thugs along with his party members to fight the anti-Nazi groups. IOW Hitler broke the anti-Nazi unions and supported the Nazi unions.

Now these public unions in Wisconsin are attracting the Communist groups in support. ANSWER is a big Communist crew that will probably be there soon if they are not there already. Bet you will be seeing the Communist literature out there for sale soon as well. How will the public unions deal with that crew. ANSWER does not play well with others who do not bow down to their magnificence.

It's not just the sheer stretch of the imagination to compare ANYONE to Hitler and his Nazis (yes, even Stalin and Pol Pot), but it's also quite boring.

Jesus, mix it up a little. Even the Shankman kid used "Falangists".
