"... in a final tailgate to cap a magical season that ended in Super Bowl victory. At $5 each, the 50,000 tickets for Tuesday's 'Return to Titletown' celebration at the stadium sold out in a matter of hours Monday... Tuesday's cold didn't bother Ken Hampp, 23, of Appleton, as he sipped a Budweiser. 'The weather's fine. I can barely feel it,' he said. 'That's my favorite thing about winter. You can just stick your beer in the snow.'"
LOL. That's Wisconsin.
ADDED: It was 3°.

Oh my God. Another mass acting out crazy in public. Someone warn the mental health guys.
3 degrees? Those people are crazy (although the quote about the snow keeping the beer cold is hilarious).
Sounds about right. I got up at 5am back in '97 to pick up the grill and start the brats by 8am in the parking lot of the bar we were watching at. It was around zero that day.
The economy in Wisconsin should be booming this week from high speed brats and beer stimuli alone. I just hope they are not Chinese brats and beer from WalMart.
How would they celebrate in PIttsburgh? By rioting?
(Who can blame them when the alternative is to drink Iron City Light?)
MM
Enjoy the win. It may never come again. We've endured
SIX in AFC-NFC Super bowl era. Riots IC Light 'n at. Yinz
Enjoy.
At this point in the winter, anything above zero is nice weather.
I'll drink my brewskis dauntaun.
Not enough cheese worn on the head.
Brain freeze.
It's a good day/week/year to be a Packer fan!
I grew up near Pittsburgh in the 70's, so the Steelers are in my blood, but I'm happy for you Cheeseheads. You earned it. Green Bay is a great and storied franchise and town. You had a phenomenal season and played a dominating Superbowl. Congratulations and enjoy it!
I really hope the GB fans are not "giddy". Drunk is far more appropriate and respectable. In Pittsburgh we never get giddy in public - it's uncouth.
In the winter, we keep the beer in a cooler to keep it from freezing. (I kid you not.)
I was going to say the same for a snowbank, OM. At 3 deg air temp, the insulating snow will slow the freezing.
Ran into a couple at the bar last night who were just back from the rally. Had a great time, but not many pics because their fingers kept going numb. They said the highlight of the mostly scripted event was O lineman Jason Spitz's impromptu removal of his shirt and dive into a snow pile on the field.
I'll just call him 'motivated' since labeling him as 'crazy' would apparently invoke the PC police.
With all the bitching about the winter, it's nice that someone points out the upsides. Scotch on the rocks doesn't dilute as much and wine can be cooled down quickly, too.
