Oh, I was picturing one of these, when I wrote that, but now that I think of the original situation, one of these was all it took.

I noticed the "skewer" line and liked it. Don't know why I didn't comment and say so at the time. Probably because I was at work. Oh well.
When I was a little kid, I thought those drink skewers the height of fanciness. A Shirley Temple would show up at the table with an orange slice or a maraschino cherry skewered by a plastic sword, and I'd feel quite sophisticated.
