Still, one can always dream of once more hearing those stirring words: "I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your president."
Zogby was the only one consistently right during the '08 primaries, so what he says shouldn't be dismissed lightly.
I've heard of several other surveys with similar numbers, though not quite as high. The interesting thing is, if Hillary takes a shot, I think she'll have her head handed to her in the manner of Teddy Kennedy in '80.
The Arkinsaw mob is no match for the guys with the violin cases.
Is this about leaders exiting #1 in the Poll? Georgia will knock off Auburn. But who will pluck the Duck's feathers? TCU can then become the upset winner of this season....Oh, you don't mean the Coaches poll, you mean those political polls.
If Hillary runs Beck will just play a loop of her saying ""I consider myself a modern progressive," Clinton said. "Someone who believes strongly in individual rights and freedoms, who believes that we are better as a society when we're working together.""
"On election night, aides say, the president will likely have a TV on in the background, but he will not be singularly focused on what’s happening at the polls around the country.
“He’s not going to be hunkered down in a war room,” said one White House official."
Daniels would beat Obama, so would Pawlenty or Christie. Thune might; he's taller and better looking than Obama and has some substance. Huckabee, Barbour, Palin, Romney, Gingrich would lose big time. Anyone else on the list?
If Han Solo can measure time in parsecs, sunsong can measure distance in light years. It must be a relativity thing, where time becomes a spatial dimension and vice versa.
I don't see how Obama isn't down to 37% by February.
A Republican Congress is win-win for Obama. A Republican congress gives something for Obama to rail against. Now, if Republicans in congress -- if they are the majority -- do sensible things, like cut spending, shrink the government, &c -- America might start to have a favorable view of Congress and Obama will be along for the ride and his numbers will go up as well. If Republicans start going the social conservative route and start yelling about gays and abortion, Obama will smell like a rose as well by comparison and his numbers will increase.
I think the message of the night that Independents are sick of the social issues and will not be swap issue pandering for a sane, balanced budget and a sober national defense.

That was exactly Clinton's road to redemption. The problem is, Clinton was always engaged in the political process (no matter what was happening under the desk) and I've seen no indication that Obama does much of anything other than be "Present".

TEAM OBAMA RESPONSE: "... errrr... that is to say... ummmmmmmmm... BUSH! BUSHBUSHBUSHBUSHBUSH -- !!!"
Shyeah. That oughtta do it.
His numbers are just beginning to fall. He's only been in for a year and a half. He's a complete incompetent, a bully, a narcissist, and a Marxist.
He's probably not a Muslim or we'd have to lay off.
Ann? Hello? Are you included in that 50%? Are you included in that 57%? Did you turn your TV on yet?
Diversity Hire.
Two years is a long time. Anything can happen.

POTUS needs to learn to love his enemies.
I'm not a fan of Zogby and 2012 is light years away. I don't give much weight to this.

Yeah, right.

chickelit: POTUS needs to learn to love his enemies.
He just has to remember that he's supposed to be representing ALL Americans, even the assholes (always the largest voting block).
Elections aren't held in a vacuum.

Too early to tell. Bill Clinton, 1994, "Ah'm still relevant..."
1996..."Do you swear to protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States?
Bill Clinton, "Ah dew"

I agree. Add Ambassador John Bolton, just for laughs. He's considering running.

Obama enjoys a certain floor. Add up the number of African Americans and "Daily Show" fans and you're close.

Way too early to make this kind of call. If the economy recovers, Obama will win in a landslide.

I'd vote for a Pawlenty/Ryan ticket.
