Anybody besides me see the "10:10" commercial where people who don't agree to reduce their carbon emissions get blown to smithereens? You really have to wonder what the tree-huggers use instead of brains.
I just a late evening happy-hour discussion about the Nov. and all my contacts (in the administration) are confident that there will be NO CHANGE in the House and Senate. Voters, we are learning, are really fond of the President/Vice President. They do not like any one in the GOP or Tea Party.
So, good bye to all that!
N.B.: My clients are so happy that I am put on the retainer for 2012.
speaking as a Minnesotan, there is a quality of light here in the upper Midwest you only see in the late fall and spring - beautiful blues, puffy white clouds, and light refracting off the fields and lakes. So beautiful it makes you well up.
A glacial dam between the hills stopped the old Wisconsin River and formed Devils Lake. But the Winnebago Indians have their own version of the story of the lake. The Winnebago (Ho-Chunk) name for this lake was Tawacunchukdah meaning sacred lake. Here is a Winnebago legend taken from the book “Wisconsin Lore” by Gard and Sorden:
A quarrel once arose between the water spirits, or underwater panthers, who had a den in the depths of Devils Lake, and the Thuderbirds. These animals were called Wakhakeera, and the Thunderbirds were called Wakunja. The great birds, flying high above the lake’s surface, hurled their eggs (arrows or thunderbolts) into the waters and on the bluffs. The water monsters threw up great rocks and waterspouts from the bottom of the lake. This terrible fight continued for days according to the legend. The falling eggs tore down the trees and split off great pieces of rock and the tumbled-down and cracked rocky surface of the surrounding bluffs stands as evidence of this great struggle. The Thunderbirds were finally victorious and flew away to their homes and nests in the North. No Indian dared to approach the lake for a long time.. The water spirits were not all killed and some are in Devils Lake to this day. It was a custom of the early Indians to make tobacco offerings to the spirits to the spirits of this lake, depositing tobacco on boulders on the shore or strewing it on the surface of the water.
Slavic would explain a lot, I was thinking he was from Asia, but the reality might be that he is Borat, doing a remake of Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
In any case, he is an asshole, and I hope he continues to make benefits for glorious democrat party.
Has anyone seen Titus and AP in the same room? They have the same vainglorious style, other than AP pretends not to be gay.
WV: aboumm - the sound AP's empty head makes when it hits the pillow.
...the 10:10 video. Is it for real? I mean, who authorized it?
These people, apparently. They're backpedaling furiously now, of course, using the "Hey, it's only a JOKE, people" defense, apparently not able to perceive that it falls into the "how do you fit 25 jews into a Volkswagen" category of "joke".

I'm guessing American Politico's native language is Slavic.
@alpha: LOL!
@El Pollo, apparently it's quite real and somebody thought it was funny.
But then somebody thinks' America's Politico is funny.

Oh, Ann, that one is gorgeous. Very ethereal.
Not late afternoon, though. More like midnight when the moon is full. Quite incandescent.
PS AP needs to get back on the Haldol.
AP needs to get back to Pyongyang.
More interesting things are happening there.
How does she take such beautiful photographs? Does she process RAW images? I want to learn how.

I, for one, was just being sardonic. Hope you get that.

I didn't realize that Richard Curtiss (Pirate Radio and a slew of other comedies) wrote the 10:10 video.
