You get the vast majority of your "engagement points" not from much of anything that you do (most of your posts are not too different from posts much discussed elsewhere in the blogosphere) but from what we do: we debate most often amongst ourselves political topics of the day.
It's not like you're posting much that is substantially different than on any other political blogs. It's that Glenn links here more often because he likes you personally (not that there's anything wrong with that).
We use your blog as our debating platform and as a result of that you get the vast majority of engagement points from that activity. But we don't need you for that. If you disappeared, we'd be engaging Americans on other popular blogs. Why? Because that's where Glenn Reynolds would be linking and thus, that's where the eyeballs would be.
You're a convenient starting point for those of us who do the heavy lifting on your blog.
Wait ... you do realize that you're not the one who writes the most on your own blog, don't you?
I'm guessing the "Lost" spoiler blog won't get the same number of hits after Sunday. They'll still get some, sure, but not like the numbers they've been getting for the past 4 months.
Of course, you totally rule. When you said, "Kneel, arrogant human", did not we all genuflect?
The post Ann linked to had to say, "To access more of the lists, you or your developer (provided they aren’t tied up with Lord of the Rings … heh)"
Most such work is done by consultants and small shops that have a huge workload. A little more respect for the people who allow such frivolous egos to strut the Blogosphere might be nice.
Interesting that the top 3 blogs in all formats are legal, legal/current events and marketing.
While Blogger is a slug, it's still a perfectly useful tool for bloggers who prefer to spend their time writing rather than maintaining a server share and code. However if you did want to switch I can't speak highly enough of Hosting Matters and it would be great to have more html tags in comments.
New "Hussain" Ham...The Althouse blog was a creative salon of great wits and minds long before you barged in and challenged everybody to a fight. You are a good writer and you have a point of view that comes across loud and clear, but if you were suddenly not here the Professor's great skills would keep everything going in a good direction. Try it out and see.
Your blog was shortchanged by having your topic content described as legal. I suspect the reason that most of us visit so frequently is because of the totally eclectic nature of your posts.

WoW!
Or else blogger is way too 2002 and you need to move over to Typepad where you will at least be in the company of some other big names
You are indeed Mistress of Your Own Domain!
"Log on and type right in, baby let it all hang out!"

The answer to your unasked question is "Yes!"
You can be a domainatrix!
You don't totally rule. We totally rule.

Not surprising, but well-deserved.
Your own domain?
Aren't any vortexes available?
(vortices?)
If you change venue, make sure that the next place has the strikeout feature. I could have a lot of fun with that.

Maybe, but as they say in show business, it's all about "who can put the asses in the seats."
Is there an advantage to your own domain? This seems to be working out pretty well so far!

My blog has double the score of the top Typepad blog, so....

I didn't see Lone Wacko on the list?
What gives!
You should send flowers (or something) to FLS, Jeremy, Ritmo, Hambone....
The perverse result of trolling

Blogger's ugly and buggy and it sucks and you should move. I've said this for years.
You might want to give it a thought to tone it down just a notch there NewHam. Just sayn.
With that said, let me know when they are listing which blogs are the coolest.
Several people who comment here would be in the running.
