" a huge percentage of the younger crowd (not die-hard fans) is going to download Paramore’s and Mariah’s stuff illegally, or copy it from their friends, or record it from free streaming sites. Whereas Barbra’s older generation fans (including those that are NOT diehard fans) are going to buy it. A huge part of Barbara’s sales were from QVC. "

The Japs used to be accused of being copycats. They agreed, and changed their educational system to open up innovation. Now Japs are crazy-innovative.
Now we are the ones afraid to innovate for fear some NYC lawyer will find a way to sue over any new product or idea. Change is legally dangerous.
So the Japs are free to do any crazy or nutty thing. And for every 19 useless or bizarre innovations they put on the market, they have a brilliant new idea that creates more income, more jobs for them.
Fred4Pres is right on the Japanese bar codes. Great idea. But imagine the lawsuits that could make in the USA over copywrite infringement, businesses suing other businesses over bar code readers that may have difficulty with aesthetically pleasing bar codes.

Suddenly I wish I was a justice of the peace.. get to declare them alive.. not dead.
"... yes if i could hear her heart a softly pounding..."
Artificial breasts with a heartbeat?
Describes half of LA.
These people are wack...
They could pose an interesting dilemma to paramedics .. in case of a hart attack which one do you save first ;)
wv kestions - may we pose interesting kestions
For kids? Ha. All day Anime consumers find a way to extend the bliss all night.
Go through the other inventions. The joint ciggarette holder is dumb, but the girl is cute. It is a good photograph.
The flying guy died. My guess the flying platform is a bit dangerous too. As is the baby sling.
After 46 years the new and improved models of the artificial breasts should be a hoot.
Not everything from Japan is crazy, this is actually a very good idea.
Fits in with what Google is doing today.
Trust me, the real thing is better.
PS Just half, KYLiz?
Just never you mind why I ordered two of them and a bottle of KY Lubricant!
If that 1937 baby holder had caught on, perhaps we would have fewer single mothers.
The breasts of oriental women are far superior to these.
Put most of these down to "Well, somebody had to try it. Now we know it won't work." Put the rest down to "What were they thinking?"
The breasts of Japanese women,
Those mounds of oriental joy,
Drove Perry to make the decision
To drop anchor and shout, "Oh buoy!"
Man, that article seems to have an obsession with cigarette holders.
