Zezozose Zadfrack Glutz, who are you?

I'm seeing that name, I think, for the first time, in the obituary of the repellent murderess, Susan Atkins. (It was Atkins who boasted that she "stabbed [Sharon] Tate, tasted her blood and used the blood to write the word 'Pig' on the front door of the house.")
In 1968, Ms. Atkins gave birth to a son. [Charles] Manson — who by all accounts was not the father — had her name the child Zezozose Zadfrack Glutz. While he was still a baby, the child was removed from Ms. Atkins’s care and later adopted.
Manson had already given Atkins the name Sadie Mae Glutz. I wonder if the (renamed) Zezozose Zadfrack ever got it into his head to go searching for his biological parents, the way adoptees so often do. I hope not. But surely, there are men born in 1968, who know they were adopted, who have stopped to wonder if they are Zezozose Zadfrack Glutz. Do you ever look in the mirror and think you're rather cute, but maybe you're cute like this?

If ever there was an adopted child who was told by his parents - "You would be better off not knowing who your birth parents are", it is that child.

The only reason Atkins died in prison was because her death sentence was voided in a blanket decision by the Supreme Court. She lived about thirty-five years too long as far as I'm concerned.

I'm pretty sure that if the death sentence had not been voided, she still would have died in prison, just a whole lot sooner.

Touche'. Should have phrased that better.

Atkins' obit would still read better to me if it had been printed in, say 1973.

Otoh, Zadfrack feels oddly satisfying as words go. But not to name a baby.

She was dying from brain cancer. Why wasn't she released to Libya?

The Scots must think we are barbarians.

It's incomprehensible how some people fall under the spell of men who are by all accounts crazed and deluded.

I hope she suffered. Alot.

"In April 2008, it was revealed that Atkins had been hospitalized for more than a month with an undisclosed illness, which was subsequently reported to be terminal brain cancer, and one leg had been amputated. Atkins was given less than six months to live and subsequently requested a "compassionate release" from prison. In June, Atkins' attorney, Eric P. Lampel stated that Atkins' condition had deteriorated to the point that she was paralyzed on one side, could only talk "a little bit" and couldn't sit up in bed without assistance."

"Atkins, reportedly paralyzed over 85 percent of her body, unable to sit up or be transferred to a wheelchair, according to a Web site maintained by her husband,[31] was denied parole at a parole hearing on September 2, 2009."

I see she did. Good.

Society needs people like Charles Manson to justify all kinds of behavior that isn't quite as bad by comparison.

She was an attractive woman. But there is something scary about her eyes.

The most bizarre part of her life of course is the murdering part. She seems to have enjoyed it.

But surely her journey in imprisonment ranks as second most bizarre.

In 1974, Ms. Atkins became a born-again Christian, according to her memoir, “Child of Satan, Child of God” (Logos International, 1977; with Bob Slosser). She denounced Mr. Manson, formed a prison ministry and did charitable work of all kinds. She was denied parole 11 times.

In 1981, Ms. Atkins was married in the prison chapel to a flamboyant Texan named Donald Lee Laisure. Mr. Laisure, who said he first met Ms. Atkins in the mid-1960s, described himself in interviews as a multimillionaire; he spelled his surname with a dollar sign in place of the “s.”

Mr. Laisure also told reporters that Ms. Atkins was his 29th wife, in some accounts, his 36th. The marriage was dissolved after a few months. In 1987, Ms. Atkins married James W. Whitehouse, who is now a lawyer.

This narrows it down:

"While never detailed, Zezozose Zadfrack was reportedly thereafter adopted by a couple from California in 1969 and renamed Paul. The father is believed to be a doctor."

The Manson family was the first and greatest example of a cult in the 1960s experiencein that Crack Emcee still does his battles with. A cult is in its essence a group of mind controlled followers doing the bidding of a false prophet. See where it got her. Doing a Great Leader's will with no questions asked is always a sure disaster. The Christian faith offers all the spiritual life anyone needs, although many cults use its name as a cover.

Especially if your name is Milhouse Van Houten!

The trial began in June 1970. On Jan. 25, 1971, after deliberating for nine days, the jury found Ms. Atkins, Mr. Manson and Patricia Krenwinkel guilty of the five Tate murders. It also found the three of them and Leslie Van Houten guilty of the two LaBianca murders.

Sharon Tate's child would've been about the same age as Atkins's son. Would've been, if not for Atkins and her friends.

The word "repellent" just seems so inadequate.

The disturbing thing about these cult members is not their bizarre deeds but their otherwise normal behavior. Part of my neurosis is that I would never be able to trust any human being the way these cult members trusted the Rev Jones or Charles Manson.

Is she the first of the Tate-LaBianca murderers to die? I believe Sharon Tate's sister Debra has attended every parole hearing for these monsters since their conviction.

Guardian angels come in all colors, forms, shapes and sizes. Like God, they work in mysterious ways.

I was born of an unhappy family, and when I was a young adolescent, we had next-door neighbors. I baby-sat their little kids and I cleaned their fish tank.

I very much looked up to the man of the house. He was a college administrator and a basketball coach.

I will never forget where I was standing. I will never forget what he said to me.

He said, “There are people in this world who have so little idea where they are going in life they will follow blindly anyone who acts as if he does.”

That is an exact quote from thirty-six years ago.

An exact quote.

I owe him more than a debt of gratitude.

Maybe I should file that one under "emotional Bissage."

Best of luck to the adoptive parents, and to the now grownup kid.

Genetics here are nasty.

Keith Olbermann.

And now you know the rest of the story.

I was born on Barker Ranch October 7, 1968. I know who I am, and very few know the truth of my identity. My life has been threatened because of things my mother did, and I wish to stay hidden from sight. Stop wondering about the 'Manson' children. We do exist, and we are around. I am in Northern CA.

Those were crazy times. First saw the girls Manson attracted when I was at a Bobs Big Boy in The Valley. To hang with those wild chicks, it was a given you’d tolerate Charlie. In retrospect it was wasted time, but as a young teenager, there was nothing that meant more than having 2 or 3 young cuties to party with.
None of us who were around then were introduced to Charles Mansion by someone saying “ Charlie here will be famous soon, he plans on having us girls murder several people”. If they’d told us that, most of us would have left after having balled a couple of the girls and never returned.
