Why red, yellow, purple peppers so much more expensive than green peppers. Are they harder to grow or occur more rarely at harvest? A pepper should be valued on the contents of its nutrients and not the color of its skin.
Well I saw the thing comin' out of the sky It had the one long horn, one big eye I commenced to shakin' and I said "ooh-eee" It looks like a purple eater to me
It was a one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple pepper eater (One-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple pepper eater) A one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple pepper eater Sure looks strange to me (One eye?)
I said Mr. Purple Pepper Eater, what's your line He said it's eatin' purple peppers and it sure is fine But that's not the reason that I came to land I wanna get a job in a rock and roll band
Well bless my soul, rock and roll, flyin' purple pepper eater Pigeon-toed, undergrowed, flyin' purple pepper eater (We wear short shorts) Flyin' purple pepper eater Sure looks strange to me
And then he swung from the tree and he lit on the ground He started to rock, really rockin' around It was a crazy ditty with a swingin' tune Sing a boop boop aboopa lopa lum bam boom
Well bless my soul, rock and roll, flyin' purple pepper eater Pigeon-toed, undergrowed, flyin' purple pepper eater I like short shorts Flyin' little pepper eater Sure looks strange to me (Purple Peppers?)
And then he went on his way, and then what do ya know I saw him last night on a TV show He was blowing it out, a'really knockin' em dead Playin' rock and roll music through the horn in his head
Meade will find very important off season landscaping work to do in Cincinnati during the winter months. Meade, have you ever lived through a northern winter? I have. I very much enjoy living in a subtropical climate now.
Now, that being said. I am trying to learn how to paint, and this photograph is calling out to me. I hope you don't mind, Ann.
I was told that the first rule of painting is to paint what you REALLY see, and not what you THINK you see. I thought I was seeing purple peppers at first, but on further observation, I see so much more.
Purple? Well sure, if you ignore the lavender blues and the midnight blues, or the magentas and the oranges. And don't forget the grays and blacks, or the sage greens. And that man in the moon!
Sure the shapes seem simple, which is exactly why I want to paint this picture! lol I can't draw worth shit. But just like, Meade. I got me one FINE imagination.

Nice try but you can’t fool me.
Those are mutant eggplants.
Rejoice in your first fruits. The Purple days are here again, but now they are days of wholeness and joy without overbearing trees.

William, Bissage, very funny both of you.

Tales of Brave Meade
Not so tiny purple peppers run lauging through your fingers,
And you want to take her with you to the hard land of the Wisconsin winter.
Her name is Althouse and she rides a silver shell,
And you know you cannot leave her for you touched the distant sands
With tales of brave Meade, how his naked ears were tortured
By the sirens sweetly singing.
EDH, LOL!
And here I thought the leaden winter might bring me down forever.
Boy was I ever wrong!
After all, I rode up on my mountain bike to the purplelusciousness of Madison.

a purple effusion
Wow. Meade.
Did you really ride to Madison?
Chip? An animated map perhaps?
"Did you really ride to Madison? "
Well, sure. In my poetic licensed song-parodying mind I did.
Pick a peck of purple peppers. Say it really fast several times. :-)
Wow...
I got EDH's lines, I started read, I didn't notice the title... and right away, the song's tune to my head.
....and I'm 37. O_o
I LOVE this post! Do you see how Ann used her art, photography, to bring out the artist in the rest of us?
We got some singers in the house, and several comedians, some fiction writers a few set people and some fans. What more can we ask for?
