A late night greeting from Kentucky.
The odometer clicked over to 600 and we decided not to push it to 700 as planned. We're conked out at a Hampton Inn, soaking up WiFi and making a late snack out of vending machine stuff (microwave popcorn and peanut butter crackers).

Wifi and peanut butter, sure. Come on, you're fucking, right? You bought yourselves an hour or two, you earned it.
Remember, it's not the crime (assgawk), it's the cover-up (denial).
How wonderful to be on the road. We're hoping for a couple of weeks of lazy driving, perhaps ending up at the Grand Canyon, in August.
Meanwhile, for your amusement, but here's a little Cajun tutorial on using Onstar Navigation.
There is no inherently funnier accent than Cajun, and Cajuns are more amused by this than anyone else.
I love adventures like the one you are on. Have fun and stay safe.
Myrtle Beach?
Don't go to Fla this time of year; hurricane season starts in two weeks.
Hey, Welcome to Kentucky!
The land of pretty horses, and fast women.
FLS, we have El NiƱo working this year. Let's hope for a calm season.
Althouse is probably having sex at that Hampton Inn right this very minute. :o
hampton inn beds are great and their breakfast kicks butt.
welcome to kentucky...racehorses, bourbon, cigarettes, and Stone Campbell movement tent revivals.
where bourbon county is dry and christian county is wet.
Can you hear the banjos Clarice?
"you earned it."
You're supposed to earn it?
Hopefully Austin Quality Foods PB Crackers!! Or perhaps the more top drawer, Keebler!
3 Musketeers Mint is pretty good, but the best part is that the grocery store receipt encodes it as
3 MUSK MINT.
Wasn't thee any fruit left over on the breakfast buffet? Are you somewhere fruitless?
Thanks for mentioning Kentucky without using the word "teeth" or "Banjos". When I flew into Cincinnati airport the other day, some people on the plane acted insulted that Cincinnati actually puts its airport in Kentucky.
When you get to Lexington, stop at Max's Loudon Square Cafeteria. (Loudon and Broadway) You’ll get some interesting pictures there along with a great meal for $7, soda and homemade dessert included.

I'm going to Lexington next week to visit a buddy and drink all his bourbon.
What is the destination? Sounds like a long vacation trip. I hope that you enjoy your the new territory and make great memories for the dynamic duo.
Not that you earned the right to have sex - from one POV you did that when you said "I do" - you earned the 100mi worth of driving time you got back by stopping at 600mi instead of 700mi - 2 hrs at avg 50mph, 1:40 at avg 60mph, 1 hr at avg 100mph. Luck is the residue of design.
You are in Cracker Barrel country!! Delicious food. And attentive waitresses, as you are so close to their home office and where they began.
She said, "I do!"
When did this happen? What clues did I miss?
Great news. Best wishes, you two.
Popcorn and outdated crackers with peanut butter that's probably been recalled ? You really must learn to plan better for your travels. It takes so little effort to pack a gourmet picnic for the road.
Hampton's a good choice, though it depends on the franchise owner. I won't stay at the one in Nashville (on the Memphis side of town)again. I highly recommend the one in Flagstaff, AZ if you get out close to the Grand Canyon. Take a one bedroom suite with a kitchenette and a fireplace with a view of the mountains. Stock the refrig with some decent eats and stay a few days. Best Hampton Inn I've patronized.
Have a safe trip. Build memories.
Christy, I don't know nuthin', I thought they were a done deal, are they still just engaged?
Nice to see that someone in the 'sphere has been around the lands where I am from. Enjoy Kentucky. Spend some money. *wink.
