The Cincinnati meetup.
It's on and it's today, so if you're in Cincinnati and you'd like to hang out for an hour or so with me and a few other commenters, email me — at my gmail address (annalthouse) — and I'll tell you the time and place.

Well hell. I was just there last weekend.
By the way, Indianapolis is much nicer than Cincinnati.
Just sayin.
Seconding HD. :p
Indianapolis is too flat. I like the hills of Cincinnati. But downtown Indianapolis is a much more alive place.

Hey, we'll be drinking not skiing.
;-)
Titus you should come too. We have a thriving gay population here. We can drop you off on Mass Avenue and check out the fabulous tapas bars and bistros. Not quite as upscale as NY but you can see how the other half live in flyover country.
Cincinnati had the Baldwin Piano Company.
They seem to be in Korea now and owned by Gibson Guitar, if I follow the complicated history of reorganizations correctly.
Baldwin-United was probably their high point, a larger bankrupcy than all previous US bankruptcies combined.
Cincinnati produces the finest financial magicians in the world.
I'm surprised Obama hasn't called on Morely Thompson yet.
Darn, I'm at the wrong end of the rustbelt.
Indy is nice, Cinci has more personality.
Enjoy, all of you.
I'm sorry that I'll miss this. It would be fun to know who will be there, though.
But please don't tell me Pogo is going! If I miss meeting that cute marsupial I'll be crushed. ;-)
All that mystery and love and good feeling. Oh, it’s soooo nice. One can hardly think of the outside world. Long walks and long talks. It’s heaven.
But wait, I could go meet a few people I don’t know who read my blog!
Bye, bye.
The Althouse ego conquers all!!
Only an hour. Better drink fast. What the bars close at 7pm out there? WTF.
