"This explains why they managed to battle the commandos for over 50 hours with no food or sleep."
They also, apparently, took LSD, and it's hard to see how that could have helped.

LSD could have been given to them, without their knowledge, by their handlers.
I think LSD helps night vision, granted, what you're seeing...
LSD? No way. Nobody does acid anymore.
This is the kind of thing that give hard to get expensive drugs a bad name ;)
"The Old Man kept at his court such boys of twelve years old as seemed to him destined to
become courageous men. When the Old Man sent them into the garden in groups of four, ten or
twenty, he game them hashish to drink. They slept for three days, then they were
carried sleeping into the garden where he had them awakened.
"When these young men woke, and found themselves in the garden with all these marvelous
things, they truly believed themselves to be in paradise. And these damsels were always with
them in songs and great entertainments; they; received everything they asked for, so that
they would never have left that garden of their own will."
And when the Old Man wished to kill someone, he would take him and say: 'Go and do this
thing. I do this because I want to make you return to paradise'. And the assassins go and
perform the deed willingly."
- Marco Polo - on his visit to Alamut in 1273
I've got some skepticism about some anonymous Indian saying "Cocaine and LSD" when those are rare drugs in that part of the world and hard amphetamines would work better and last longer than coke.
And the LSD is nonsensical..
The Indian gov't needs to come in at some point and distinguish fact from rumor. So far they haven't even given an official death toll.
On the good news front, the Muslim cemeteries in Mumbai refuse to bury the 9 dead Islamoid terrorists.
Juicing up soldiers, particularly pilots, has been going on a long time, at least since WWII. Benzedrine used then. Provigil today. Psychostimulants Go PIlls
The Moro tribesman, after the Spanish American War, were on some form of drugs. The U.S. found out the hard way when the .38 caliber revolvers were insufficient to stop them at close range - which led to the .45ACP being developed.
The Somali militiamen ingested some drug (khat?) prior to battle with Army Rangers in the early 90s. Probably still do.
"Why you do you guys smoke this shit? To escape from reality? I don't need this stuff.
I am reality."

How would you know Ann? Was it hard for you to function on LSD?
In a book I read about the battle of Fallujah there was talk about Mujihadeen being jacked up on atropine and adrenalin, so that they were more difficult to kill unless truly shot to pieces.
The LSD makes little sense, therefore is doubtful, as it can cause both visual and sensory hallucinations, panic reactions, etc -- it is an overwhelmingly powerful drug. It can make it very difficult just to roll over in bed.
That aspect of the report must be a mistake.
They also, apparently, took LSD, ...
I don't believe it.
If they did take LSD, then they had the ultimate bad trip.
You might expect these serial killer attack-androids to have been drugged by their handlers. The news here is that there seems to have been a possibility of a succesful return to Base for these dupes rather than simple suicide eliminating them. That must worry the handlers. Who likes it when the serial killer androids come back home?
I concur, cocaine does not last long enough to keep them pumped up and the LSD would be at best distracting and counterproductive.
Also, I had heard that there is no reliable test for LSD as it is used in such tiny amounts. A short search reveals that LSD can indeed be found in modern tests.
There were smilar rumours concerning the Chinese soldiers who were responsible for the Tianamen massacre.

Me either. LSD would be so counterproductive to trying to accomplish anything, much less a coordinated attack that requires the ability to focus on goals.
Amphetamines, yes. LSD ...no.
IIRC, one of the guys from Jefferson Airplane said: “People thought we were doing LSD on stage but we never did. It’s really hard to play the guitar when the strings are all fat.”
Perhaps they meant PCP. "Angel dust" is a bane of law enforcement and indeed Terminator-targets; reports of subjects on PCP doing both terrible and physically-improbable things abound.
LSD would only seem to have use in an MKULTRA mind-control context (which apparently didn't work very well), and apparently Islam suffices itself for that treatment.
