"You always follow me around and play these little games, and I’m not going to play your games today."

"This is a day about election day. Go back and see what the question was, and what my answer was. You have mischaracterized it to get another cheap story to divert the American people from the real urgent issues before us, and I choose not to play your game today. Have a nice day."

Bill Clinton wants you to have a nice day.

Wow. That is the sort of talk I have been hearing from the Obama camp lately, it is interesting to hear it from the Clintons.

Where have all the press followers gone?

B-bbut, President Clinton ALWAYS says that.

He's always playing the martyr, with his paranoic complexes. He and Mrs. Clinton always complain of being targetted.

- "Vast right-wing conspiracy"

- "You're picking on her"

- To Chris Wallace about his interview, "You did your nice little Conservative Hit Job on me"

Oy...

Cheers,
Victoria

Apparently Bill didn't even have that old "Don't bother me now I'm eating breakfast" excuse.

Bill can't be a racist, he has his office in Harlem. So there.

That's only because his first choice luxury highrise was well beyond what the taxpayers foot out.

If Clinton and Carter had half a brain, they'd be spending their post-presidency fishing rather than making imbeciles out of themselves.

Dear Bill,

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Love,

On the WHYY tape, Clinton says he appointed NINE African-American cabinet members.

Anyone know if that is correct? Sounds way high to me!

Obama hides Sharpton and Jackson in the broom closet, while accusing Clinton of racism. Neat trick!

Ole Uncle Festus does it again! He has to be the only over egimicated idgit who kin put bof of his feets in his mouf at the same time.

He should just go back to Hope, that little postage stamp town on the way to nowhere, and stay there; forever.

BTW, remember how he claimed that while in college he used to walk the streets of Harlem at night? Back then no white boy was safe walking the streets of Harlem at night, unles you were a junkie looking for a fix.

And howzabout that Kathie Lee (the next video)?! Has she had work done or what?

Maybe he was that white boy?

I don't think anything Clinton said was particularly controversial. However, when he strikes that indignant attitude, it sets off the B.S. radar and makes me wonder what he's trying to cover up.

I don't get why people are so worked up on this race issue anyway, BJ was our first black President anyway, so it's not like Obama is breaking ground.

I never understood why the press gives way like that. That finger wagging redfacedness is Clinton's tell.

Consequently, you know for sure you have hit the right note that causes him to vibrate uncontrollably. So ask the follow up while you have the chance!

Does anyone really care? The real question should be what did they accomplish, aside from "looking like America"?

I found one reference that had it at seven. Maybe Bill was counting "appointed" even though they did not get approved by Congress (i.e Lani Guinier). Nah he would not play word games like that, would he?

No doubt the Clintons are first-class whiners when it comes to their perception of the press not treating them kindly enough.

Yet when Obama dodges questions, he's a different kind of candidate who doesn't play "gotcha" games. Except when he does.

How do you manage to not speak to the press for 10 days in the middle of a tight race and not catch hell, anyway? By being Obama, apparently.

George W. Bush destroyed America, and her middle class with his pro-war, Mussolini-imitating pro-corporatist fascism that knows only largess to large corporations and his many corrupt friends and businessmen. They NY Times reported that George Soros and other connivers walked away with $3,000,000,000 a piece in the hedge fund business in 2007. Such greedy and evil games they are permitted to play at the public's expense. You Republicans are ALL GUILTY as charged! Cedarford, what is the proper punishment for TREASON? I propose the SOYLENT GREEN treatment.

I hate Bush and his ilk more than you hate Bill and Hillary combined. Therefore, I win and you lose, as America already has. But, losers have to find a haven somewhere. But how come they must end up here on such a delightful & colorful blog?

This comment was brought to you by the Committee for Truth and Sanity. There's so little of that around these days. Please have a smoke Middle Class Guy. It will work wonder for your emphysema. I hope the taxpayers don't get stuck paying your medical bills. Your self-induced suffering should not be spread to others by second-hand smoke or by having them pick up the tab for your selfish foolishness.

Ah yes, George Soros -- notorious Republican, he.

Clinton was lying about the "race card" comment, not about how many blacks he appointed.

NBC/NJ: “Sir, what did you mean yesterday when you said that the Obama campaign was playing the race card on you?”

CLINTON: “When did I say that, and to whom did I say that?”

NBC/NJ: “On WHYY radio yesterday”

CLINTON: “No, no, no. That’s not what I said. ..."

WHYY interview:

“I think that they played the race card on me. We now know, from memos from the campaign that they planned to do it along.”

It always pisses me off when the government destroys me and I don't even get a memo.

But the Mussolini comparison is unfair. Benito got his ass kicked by the Greeks. Bush at least destroyed Iraq.

So there.

Well in all fairness to His Bubbaness, I did pretty well during the Clinton years. I thought he was a fake, phoney, thought the most powerful man on the planet could get better women than a fat chick in a thong, but overall my 401K and the economy as a whole was pretty good.

He definitely was asleep at the wheel in terms of national security. In fact the only military success he had was his illegal war in Bosnia that none of the ANSWER folks cared much about and that other one in Waco which only inflamed the American militia street.

Then again, knock on wood, I'm also not doing so bad under the Bush Reich, er Regime I mean administration (damn!). I guess I was smart enough to get a 30 year fixed mortgage that I could actually afford.

In any event, I eagerly await the Obama ascension er I mean election where we'll redeploy from Iraq to Okinawa or maybe Darfur and his tax hikes re-stimulate the flagging economy and there'll be a waffle in every house and Michele Obama won't have to worry about how to pay for tennis and piano lessons on a paltry $500K a year.

I'm just sayin, the really good times are just around the corner.
