Are Hillary and Barack taking each other out?

Well I don't think Bill would care because you know he wants to see other people, but I don't think Michelle would go for it.

Maybe this is what happens whenever you have two candidates going head-to-head who both got there by affirmative action. Neither has anything to fall back on to one-up the other.

One thing's for sure, it's going to leave scars

Neither Hillary nor Obama is going to get out of the race, for both high- and low-minded reasons. Both believe that the Democrats have to win this fall, and that the other will lose; both also really, really want it. Both personal ambition abd ideological commitments keep them in. Clinton knows full well that she can still win this if something really disastrous happens for the Obama campaign that swings the supers back to her, and Obama now feels entitled to it. So neither are going to withdraw, even if continuing to fight really does hurt them in the fall per Hirsch (who I think's a tad optimistic).

Also -- Zeb, Hillary didn't get where she is by affirmative action. It's not affirmative action to leverage fame for reasons other than one's political success into electoral success - her advancement is much closer to the Governator's. And I'm not sure that Obama got to the Senate by "affirmative action" so much as an unbelievable stroke of luck. And even thereafter; Ferraro is correct about the advantage he's accrued from his race, but that doesn't make it affirmative action.

By this time in October, nothing people will be saying on the news would lead anyone to think that all the nasty things Democrats are accusing each other of now were ever practiced by anyone but Republicans.

Each side is getting hit for saying things that are true.

That's why it seems like it's what Republicans do.

Every time I turn on the television to a news channel I see the face and hear the voice of one or the other. Blogs too. Presently it's a given. I'm convinced and have been for three months that the idea is to supersaturate so that voters become put off the two entirely. In my case it worked. If the two would drop themselves into a black hole I'd dance like a Palestinian. I'm not going to vote because in my state, my vote is completely irrelevant.

If I want change, I vote for Obama. If I want experience, I vote for McCain. Hillary is neither fish nor fowl, just a sort of weird chimera.

Well I don't know where they come from
But they sure do come
I hope they comin' for me
And I don't know how they do it
But they sure do it good
I hope they doin' it for free

They give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever

The first time that I got it
I was just ten years old
I got it from some kitty next door
I went and see the Dr. and
He gave me the cure
I think I got it some more

They give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever

It's nothin dangerous
I feel no pain
I've got to ch-ch-change
You know you got it when you're going insane
It makes a grown man cryin' cryin'
Won't you make my bed

I make the pussy purr with
The stroke of my hand
They know they gettin' it from me
They know just where to go
When they need their lovin man
They know I do it for free

They give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
