Let's see. The photo was taken in 1996. So yes, he looks younger. I guess Ann thinks the NYT should have found an 11 year old picture that did not make Huckabee look younger.

I'm actually surprised that the Times let so much Huckabee dirty laundry get aired at this stage of the game. If I had had any inclination to want to consider him seriously, this article would cause me grave concern. Of course, maybe they are counting on contrariness in the evangelicals to push back against anything negative in the New York Times. Normally, my reaction would be to seriously discount anything snarkily negative I read about a republican in this publication but this sure has a lot of facts and real people going on record. Huchabee has some genuinely alarming personality traits that I find inappropriate as a serious contender for the Presidency.
I know that others have made the same comment, but my take on the NYT photo editor re Huck: "Get me only the ones where he looks like Gomer Pyle".

Funny, the same all-purpose high & mighty condemnation could be used for every candidate & every President, as well as every congressman (OOPS, congressperson).

This is the worst Huckabee photo I've seen. No doubt he was angry and embarrassed.
I was thinking the Governor looked more like Dennis Connor, before he ate for a snack the latest Stars and Stripes.
Ya know, this used to be a helluva good country. I can't understand what's gone wrong with it, and Edwards definitely looks like Nicholson in Easy Rider.
