It's funny how wingnuts hated the French back when they opposed the Iraq War (silly French), but now that they've elected a conservative, they're a model for the future.

I just hope Rudy! realizes that "conservative" has different meanings in France and in the United States. I'm pretty sure their tax rates will remain much higher than ours.

But I guess any pillar of his campaign other than "I was the hero of 9/11" will be a welcome addition.

Running, shirtless Sarko; the French Rudy who wouldn’t French Rudy; the tough on crime and masculine capitalist interloper on a soft socialist scene; the Euro anti-Hillary.

I might start buying French cheese and wine, again. Might.

Don't speak for me. I've hated them since the end ofthe Napoleonic era.

Others do mainly because any nation that thinks Jerry Lewis is a comedic genius and that Speedos for men is acceptable swim wear deserve nothing but scorn.

"Jules et Jim" did it for me.

(Actually, I like the French, even if Paris is a shit hole, after all they blew up a Greenpeace boat.)

Does that make Isabelle Dinoire the French Maxine Weiss?

Hoosier Daddy,

"I've hated them since the end of the Napoleonic era." [emphasis added]

The END??? You mean you were just fine the Napoleon, up until he lost? That makes no sense at all (unless your name is de Villepin or something...)

Thanks, Joe, for reminding us of that little incident or accident down under.
