Just what I thought -- you pay $500 and STILL have to knit your own sweater! Are they assuming that these women don't value their money or their time? Alpha moms are smarter than that.

Hey, you can get decent sweaters for less than that if you know where to look, or you can anticipate them becoming available.
For example, I expect that very soon the McCain campaign will be having a fire sale on sweaters.
I first read that as "preposterous enough to spend $500 on wool for a sweater". Makes more sense that way....
particularly in the summer...now that is disposable cash.
i think about the civil war guys marching around in wool uniforms in georgia....yucckos
I always wanted a reindeer sweater.
$500 and you still have to knit it to get a sweater.
If these prices are an indication of what happens when a hobby goes trendy, I sure hope cross stitching stays dorky forever.
