Do you recognize these faces?

Have you seen the movie? Quite a trip! It's what "I Shouldn't Be Alive" would be with a larger budget and the most harrowing, amazing tale to tell.

I guessed they were astonauts.

Well, I felt that Joe looked too much like John Cleese.

But the differences between the two men were fascinating. And, in the story, they part ways and are reunited so dramatically.

I feel that you can see in those two faces the very different experience that was stamped into their lives. Simon's face is affected by the way he was criticized for what he did, and Joe's by an ordeal that sharpened him and made him intensely alive.

Watching that movie I kept thinking "which one of these men would I less like to be in this situation?"

Well, I think Joe ultimately came out better, but if you had to go through it and knew what was going to happen, you'd have to have a lot of nerve to choose to be Joe and not Simon.

Hey movies! I love movies. What other movies have you seen recently? Any you want to tell us about?

A film that proves the general superiority of non-fiction over fiction. No matter the skill of an artist, the reality of their ordeal and its effects is more powerful than could ever be created by an imagination.

Just seeing their faces, the full range of emotions that is at play in the film comes rushing back.

Oh! That is one of my favorite movies! I didn't realize so many other people had seen it.

The book is also excellent--well-written and gripping.
