"[A]ll one needs to do is separate politics from law. Emotion from precedent."
As Steve Martin would say, "First, get a million dollars..."
May I recommend this book: "Descartes's Error: Emotion, Reason, and the Human Brain."
Oh, am I perseverating? Sorry, it was the first critic of my blog! I'll go read the New York Times now.

It took me a long time to get here. It started many, many months or maybe years ago with a point only vaguely remembered about a link between emotion and intelligence. I followed a long chain starting John Lennon's stolen watch. It was a dark and stormy night in a Dan Brown novel, but finally the Holy Grail.
Thanks for the recommendation. I had to divert back to present to deal with the Ravens, and now I will leave to return here, to this post in the past, nevermore.
Hi, Dave. Thanks for finding your way back here. Never to return, you say, so this greeting falls on no ears.

Please use the comments forum to respond to the post. Don't fight with each other. Be substantive... or interesting... or funny. Comments should go up immediately... unless you're commenting on a post older than 2 days. Then you have to wait for us to moderate you through. It's also possible to get shunted into spam by the machine. We try to keep an eye on that and release the miscaught good stuff. We do delete some comments, but not for viewpoint... for bad faith.
