All I see in the Kennedy Center nonsense, the reflecting pool, and the East Wing is an effort by people in the WH to keep Trump occupied.

The law is whatever a judge says it is, and judges are whoever the politicians say they are. I can’t see the point in discussing the cargo cult justice produced by the corrupt class of politicians it is our fate to endure today.

It's nice that Trump wants to renovate the Kennedy Center, isn't it. I support that, because he is very good at getting stuff like that done. But there are two things that he should not be allowed to do with it.
If you've ever seen the interior shots of the grotesque rococo decor in his Trump Tower apartment, you know that he should not be involved in the design of the Kennedy Center redo (even though we all know that he would be in the thick of it).
And then, “The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts”! Has there been a more egregious and clumsy manifestation of this man's Narcissistic Personality Disorder? Uh, just no.

I thought it was a dumb idea to put Trump's name on it in the first place. I don't know that it was Trump's idea originally, only that the name change was decided by a committee that was appointed by him. Coupled with the bevvy of performers backing out histrionically, for maximum awkwardness, I'd say dump it and forgo the restoration; let it molder and rot with minimal maintenance. Some would say, a fitting legacy for JFK, but I wouldn't.
I would say it's a fitting legacy for the petty-minded that would put up such obstacles, and I think that is the nature of the trap.

I was in the Kennedy Center around 2007. My first impression was it was a threadbare dump.
Likewise with the White House ballroom. Let it continue to be an unfinished construction site. Looking a gift horse in the mouth should have consequences.
The name change was a deliberate "last straw" intended to provoke this judicial response.

Yeah, except congress doesn’t have the constitutional authority and power to operate anything. Not National Airport and not the Kennedy Center. I presume Trump knows or was told this. But he does things his own way - mostly by talking and getting his opponents to react and flail about upon his mere words.

Even sane leftists have been posting on social media how much nicer DC looks now that Trump is cleaning the place up. Fountains that had not worked in 20+ year are sparkling clean and flowing once again. This is his wheelhouse. They are hurting themselves. Trump would have had this place beautified and reopened before leaving office, then they could have taken over. Instead it will be a disaster for another 20 years.
A monument to the entertainment industry's rot on the east coast that will match Hollywood's rot on the west. Let the liberals who think they know more than everyone else eat cake....
Sorry, but Trump knows Congress is incapable of tying their shoes. And the left doesn't know how to run a lemonade stand, so much so that they'd turn it (and the Kennedy Center) over to unaccountable NGOs and Somalis.
