I was looking at a video of a struggle session in Minneapolis this morning. Some women had cornered their yoga instructors and were berating them for supposedly taking down an anti-ICE slogan in the window of the Core Power training studio. What struck me was that these clients were actually swearing at the employees. In my day that kind of verbal abuse was not allowed. There is a power- imbalance in all situations in American retail because "the customer is always right." This leads to employees having to put up with all kinds of abuse but employees in a decent job situation do not have to put with being sworn at. They may get sworn at but it always changes the dynamic when that happens. Only apparently when AWFLs encounter an employee who doesn''t on demand make the right political statementsthen AWFLs can swear at employees. I thought the scene was disgusting. Those women, well-named AWFLs, may have imagined that they were righteously speaking the truth to power but the reality was that they were power itself abusing employees because they could. It's shameful that the yoga studio took the side of the abusers but, of course, the AWFLs would go elsewhere unless allowed to abuse their instructors. The business would be ruined.
What a joke though to call what is going on in that studio "Yoga." It is slavery, wage slavery. It is master/slave relatedness with the masters being abusive and the slaves pretending that they are yoga instructors so as to cater to the pretensions of the masters. I call these women "masters" because that term, as it is now used by the far left, describes them perfectly.

MAGAS say "oh no not in our states! As President Donald Trump's administration plans to move ahead with massive new "prison camps" around the country for Immigration and Customs Enforcement crackdowns, led by White House strategist Stephen Miller, they are running into a surprising new source of opposition, MAGA voters who would have the camps in their backyard. We are now learning that this year, ICE plans to retrofit around two dozen vast new facilities. In keeping with Trump-Miller’s visions, ICE vows to detain an additional 80,000 people in them. Some will reportedly hold up to 10,000 detainees apiece. In other words, the Trump-Miller threat to create a system of new detention camps is just getting underway in earnest. But many of these centers would go up in red areas, and those areas themselves are against it. In New Jersey, the Republican-dominated Roxbury Township Council, in slightly-Trump-leaning Morris County, recently voted unanimously to oppose ICE’s plans to buy a warehouse there, with some locals sharply protesting the scheme for humanitarian reasons. The Republican mayor of Oklahoma City came out against a proposed ICE warehouse, with the owner also nixing the sale. Officials in places like Kansas City, Missouri and Salt Lake City, Utah are also dead set against plans for ICE camps in their locales. Even more ominously for the Trump administration a new Pew Poll reveals that by a margin of 64 to 35, voters oppose keeping large numbers of immigrants in detention centers while their cases are decided? A huge repudiation of MAGA ideology because Trump, Miller, and their allies have long attacked the idea of paroling immigrants into the local community while they await a hearing — instead funneling them into a massive lockup system rife with rights abuses. It's yet another data point to suggest Trump's immigration stance, once one of his strongest assets in elections, is now dragging him down. Such public sentiments seem very much at odds with diagnoses of a durable Trumpist-nationalist moment. The Reds ain't liking portable abuse centers in their own back yards ,imagine that. Internment camps never have been that popular, Its amazing such a winning movement for the Reds totally F'UP by trump and his militia brown shirts. amazing how bad they handled this. Rebellion everywhere and on the brink of war by the neocon president and all he does is spend time proving he won an election he got creamed in 5 years ago. Amazing!
A U.S. intelligence official has alleged wrongdoing by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard in a whistleblower complaint that is so highly classified it has sparked months of wrangling over how to share it with Congress, according to U.S. officials and others familiar with the matter.
The filing of the complaint has prompted a continuing, behind-the-scenes struggle about how to assess and handle it, with the whistleblower’s lawyer accusing Gabbard of stonewalling the complaint. Gabbard’s office rejects that characterization, contending it is navigating a unique set of circumstances and working to resolve the issue.
A cloak-and-dagger mystery reminiscent of a John le Carré novel is swirling around the complaint, which is said to be locked in a safe. Disclosure of its contents could cause “grave damage to national security,” one official said. It also implicates another federal agency beyond Gabbard’s, and raises potential claims of executive privilege that may involve the White House, officials said.
The complaint was filed last May with the intelligence community’s inspector general, according to a November letter that the whistleblower’s lawyer addressed to Gabbard. The letter, which was viewed by The Wall Street Journal, accused Gabbard’s office of hindering the dissemination of the complaint to lawmakers by failing to provide necessary security guidance on how to do so.
Now, suddenly, and for the very first time, we discover that Tulsi is working for the Russians is a state secret? No, the subject was raised at her Senate hearings, that she was on Putin's side of the fence.
I had my first shower in 5 years a few days ago. I moved into a new house 5 years ago that had all the mod cons, but I never made the change from taking baths. Then my adult on got lye in his eyes and needed to do a prolonged eyewash, so I switched my tub faucet from tun to shower and it wouldn't go back
At my previous house I had a 150 gallon horse trough buried level in the ground surrounded by flagstone and other cool rocks. This was fed from a discarded 100 gallon gas water heater with a fire pit under it. I burned everything from wood to old tires and all the styrofoam panels off an old motorhome. I even burned about 100 gallons of diesel oil I had in old vehilcle gas tanks.
The trick with burning diesel oil is to have a heavy steel plate over the existing fire that gets red hot. You drip the diesel and a bit of water on the plate. When the water hits, it bursts into steam and aerosolizes the diesel oil, so you get a violent burst of flame.
Anyway, that 150 gallon tank of VERY hot water was about the best bath a person could ever have, especially when it was freezing cold and snowing outside. Now I am apparently a civilized person in a normal house, so I have my quiet baths indoors.
It does not feel like an improvement, but I won't complain. My family prefers this.
You have a problem of millions (@10 million is a reasonable estimate) of people let in by executive fiat between 2021 and 2024. This shouldnt have been done, pretty much everyone agrees, now. You are left with the question of what to do about it. If they are not sent back the next Dem administration will do the same thing again. This cannot be fixed through normal means. There is no practical way to process all these people through hearings. Anyone demanding such processes does not want to fix the problem. If you demand a given result you must approve of the necessary means, no matter how ugly. Else you have condemned your own character.
I can't think of anything I'd want to do less with my time than attending a protest against taxing billionaires. This is an insane amount of bootlicking energy.

There are known dangers in democracy. The ancient example, used in classical critiques of democracy, is the execution of the six Athenian admirals after their victory ar Arginusiae. This led ultimately to Athens loss of the Pelopponesian war. See Thucydides. The only solution is to let the chips fall where they may. Ultimately the people will suffer enough to learn their lessons.
The lefties smear who they fear, and by that standard Tulsi Gabbard must be on to something big. Our dear friend gadfly must possess an anus that is screwed down tight.
I was looking at a video of a struggle session in Minneapolis this morning. Some women had cornered their yoga instructors and were berating them for supposedly taking down an anti-ICE slogan in the window of the Core Power training studio.
Democrats are evil people.
You cannot give these people anything. They are not operating in good faith.

It shows you just how stupid gadfly is that he believes an anonymous "whistleblower" told the WSJ about a file they had never seen was put in a safe that doesn't exist and nobody has ever seen proves Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian Spy.
I was reading a thread on the Interstate today and how lean competent government can accomplish a lot. Construction started under the Eisenhower administration in 1956, and ebbed and flowed over the years until it's "official" completion in the 1990s. A successful major infrastructure started under a Republican administration.
And thought back to the first coast to coast railroad, authorized in 1862, competed in 1869, constructed entirely under Republican administrations.
And while the interstate was getting underway, in NY under Republican Thomas E Dewey, the NYS Thruway was constructed, with an unbroken link from PA to NYC opened in 1957.
The Florida high speed railroad Brightline was first proposed in about 2010, and is running now, with plans for expansion. Proposed, built , and running under Florida Republican administrations. Built mostly with private financing not direct government subsidies. Still not making a profit, but ridership and revenues are increasing steadily.
Then there's California high speed rail. Multiple projects actually. The most infamous being the one voted on and approved in a 2008 referendum, with construction totally subsidized by government. 2026 now, no operational segment. In fact, while billions have been spent on viaducts and bridges and guideways, apparently there still hasn't been any actual track laid. Projected timeline for the first trains running is now 2030-2033. The lesser known high speed rail is now Brightline West, having been acquired by the company running FL Brightline trains. To run from Los Vegas to Los Angeles. Project originally started in 2005, to date, no actual rail laid down. New current estimated completion date 2029. A mix of Democrat and Republican administration in NV, all Democrat in CA.
I wonder when we'll see a successful Democrat infrastructure project. Not only shovel ready but built. Maybe Wes Moore will get the Francis Scott Key bridge rebuilt by 2028. Stories are the old bridge has yet to be removed from the harbor...
In the spirit of the open thread I thought I'd share something I've been noodling about. I read quite a bit of critical New Testament scholarship and I've been trying to get to an intelligent position regarding the paternity of Jesus. The gospels emphasize the point that Joseph wasn't the father, and that he knew that. So we've got a pregnant 15 year old. Whose DNA turned the egg into a zygote? I suppose God could have just used His knowledge of the human genome to assign postive molecular inputs. Seems kinda roundabout. It just feels as though Mary was a rape victim who, like many victims of that crime, couldn't get justice.
Joseph was of the House of David, a lineage important enough to write about, but he wasn't the father. No claim that Mary was. Odd that Jews went matrilineal at some later point.
Team USA has changed the name of 2026 Olympics Venue from "Ice House" amid ongoing ICE protests. The hospitality venue for figure skaters, speed skaters and hockey players will now be known as The Winter House.
The move comes amid news that ICE and CBP criminal agents, hiding behind masks and armed with long guns, pepper balls and tear gas, will be deployed to the Winter Games to bolster security for U.S. diplomats, despite pushback from government officials in Italy, including the mayor of Milan.
Fuck those U.S. athletes with brown faces and foreign accents! But the protesters from the Twin Cities and America will now be joined by the world!
ulsi is a Russian spy and Epstein was a Russian spy, Trump is a Russian "asset" anybody who questions the globalist project is marching in some kind of Russian loyal fifth column.
Anybody who doesn't want to be turned into a serf by the cabal of globalists that is trying to run the world, or who is an embarrassment to them, falls somewhere between "Russian asset" to "Russian Spy."
They really must think that we are stupid.
The British papers are trying to claim that Epstein is a Russian spy, even though Epstein had to beg a high government official in the UK for help getting a visa to go to Russia.
My favorite email was when he claimed that Putin had tried to set up a meeting with him, and Epstein turned him down! Why didn't he just as Putin for help getting a visa? Oh, that's right, then Putin would probably have wanted to meet with him!
I wonder if they are outsourcing their propaganda to the same people writing Starfleet Academy.
All this talk of spies reminds me of the greatest spies of WW2. Juan Pujol and his wife Araceli. Probably the single greatest Spanish contribution to the Allied victory, this was a purely personal initiative, in the classic Spanish eccentric style. They had a brilliant plan, to set themselves up, deliberately, as double agents. Purely on their own initiative. It is a very odd and often very amusing tale. Would make a great movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwjxZ19Gvfo Skip ahead to 3 minutes or so.
Reading of a few (??) Olympic athletes from U.S. criticize their home country is an embarrassment not to the U.S. but to themselves. What are they thinking? They think they’re cool? Shameful behavior to me.
NY Post headline: “ American skier Hunter Hess slammed by ‘Miracle on Ice’ legend for dissing Team USA at 2026 Winter Olympics”
From the article: “Olympic hockey great Mike Eruzione slammed US skier Hunter Hess for dissing the Stars and Stripes while on the press podium in Milan”
For the uninitiated, Eruzione was the captain of the 1980 U.S. ice hockey team that upset the heavily favored Soviet team to win the gold. The U.S. team was comprised of college kids while the Soviet team was a collection of veteran players who the steamrolled every team they played.
I agree it’s too bad a few US athletes aren’t sticking to talking about their competitions. It’s kind of sad, though. Most people from the UK or Sweden would love to have immigration enforcement going on on their turf, so the athletes aren’t being as virtuous as they think. They appear to be uninformed and shallow virtue signalers.
“Odd that Jews went matrilineal at some later point.” My theory has always been that it was because powerless women were raped so often. If the line goes through the women, it solves the problem. I checked with Grok and yes that’s a common theory. “Maternity is always verifiable (you know who gave birth), while paternity could be uncertain due to factors like infidelity, absence, or, rape - especially in times of war, conquest, or exile. Some historians suggest this protected raped women and their offspring from being ostracized or expelled, allowing them to remain part of the Jewish people.”
Jews went matrilineal as to Jewish status, but remained patrilineal about tribal identification. There is still a vestige of this among observant Jews, who distinguish between Kohanim (priestly tribe), Levites, and everyone else.
@buwaya: Here is an alternative video about Juan Pujol from the Fat Electrician. You have to like/tolerate his presentation style, though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR2nBI0Y-XY
’…a whistleblower complaint that is so highly classified it has sparked months of wrangling over how to share it with Congress…’
A sentient being would have broken out in laughter at that clause and read nothing else. So, they claim to know of a security breach that could cause grave danger to the security of the United States, and they’ve known this since last May; nine months ago? lol
It’s super duper highly classified and a super duper grave threat to our country, but gosh - we just don’t how to proceed!! But, trust us - this is super duper bad for Tulsi, because she’s a Russian agent!!
Only gadfly and his lefty buddies could swallow a lure this big and ugly.
The Olympics are a spectacle, so people watch. Few watch to know more about the political and social views of athletes. It's hard to care about Team USA when competitors don't think much of the USA.
DNI Tulsi Gabbard on X: "Senator Mark Warner and his friends in the Propaganda Media have repeatedly lied to the American people that I or the ODNI “hid” a whistleblower complaint in a safe for eight months. This is a blatant lie. The truth: - I am not now, nor have I ever been, in possession or" / X https://share.google/H1xivBa3VjbSmUhVo
Do not let the Olympic Games distract you. Today is (was) National Football Day. Remenber when it was all about skill, effort and passion.
It's so much more now - the "new and improved" version sucks. It is simply exploitation of "the game" for money, social change and an ever-increasing number of "fans" who really don't give a shit about football.
No doubt viewers will be treated to multiple "national" anthems; a military flyover that most new "fans" would flip-off; endless close-ups and sound-bites of celebrities and a half-time having nothing to do with football tradition and flies in the face of "integrity of the game" (because of The Really Big Show, the mid-game break now lasts long enough for treatment and re-hab of major injuries).
Bring it ON, Bad Bunny!!!!! Thanks, Roger.
May be time to rethink the NFL's anti-trust status. At the least, stop subsidizing teams with taxpayer-funded stadiums. If the billionaire owners can afford to pay players tens of millions of dollars and enjoy astronomical gains in franchise value, it's time for them to pay their own bills.
@Jaq, your observation creates a pair of related questions. Is gadfly part of the globalist cabal, so he stupidly thinks we’re stupid? Or is he not a part of the cabal and he stupidly fell for their gambit?
’…I or the ODNI “hid” a whistleblower complaint in a safe for eight months.’
That could be true. Once you hide a whistleblower complaint in a safe nothing else can be done. I mean, you couldn’t have a copy, or refile the complaint, or anything else!! Quick: add obstruction of justice charges against Comrade Gabbard!
Two young men in my family are working at the super bowl this year, one is doing the pyro, and the other is doing cameras. They've been there all week. I know who the unnamed acts are for halftime, but cannot reveal it. All I can say is I don't know any NFL fans who would choose these acts. It's like the purpose is to piss fans off. Goodell is an idiot.
This is the sort of idiotic pearl-clutching that makes me wonder just how stupid you have to be to graduate from Dartmouth. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2026/02/the-most-racist-thing-ever.php Hinderaker (and most of his commenters) denounce Trump and the "racist video" without the slightest comprehension of or acknowledgement that the allegedly racist part was a 3 second snippet which was (apparently) auto-loaded on the end of the youtube clip regarding 2020 election issues. They think that Trump just posted the entire "Lion King" video. A couple of commenters try to clarify but the NeverTrumpers just ignore it. Althouse (not a MAGA hack) figured this out immediately. And the NeverTrumpers wonder why they are not taken seriously.
There was a pretty cool article in Apple News about how In Living Color changed the Super Bowl halftime show forever. Fox broadcast network decided they would do a special episode of ILC to coincide exactly with the halftime show on whichever network had the Super Bowl that year. It didn't help that the halftime show was still Reagan-era plain vanilla marching band stuff.
So Damon Wayans & Co stole millions of viewers from the Super Bowl. And the next year, the halftime show had Michael Jackson. Who probably wasn't a favorite of 80s football fans, but the network deliberately wanted to reach beyond their normal audience.
I think this tendency has continued to the present day. CC, JSM
There is a certain perverted genius to the DNI whistleblower complaint: blow the whistle on a super duper secret program, such that investigating the complaint necessitates blowing the program's cover. Whichever way the investigation comes out, you wind up compromising the program.
Like let's say we have a deep-cover dwarf asset living under Khamenei's robe. He's giving us hot realtime intel from the man himself. But of course we're violating his FLSA rights by not paying him for 24/7 work.
The whistleblower claims simple timekeeping mismanagement. But to work the case the dwarf has to be revealed to Schumer, which means he'll be revealed to the IRGC. Mission accomplished. CC, JSM
Michael Jackson was pretty broadly popular and nonpolitical, but this year's acts are clearly un-American and anti hetero in their own words and, actions. It would be like Ted Nugent and Kid Rock playing the Grammys. It's telling that such in-your-face antipathy for your own audience never happens in that direction. It's because the Left is actively and aggressively intolerant. They simply cannot live and let live. They want to stomp in your garden, while angrily protecting their own.
After viewing some past footage of halftime shows I notice that the show looks deceptively bigger through the cameras than it would in-person. Most seats really just see a tiny act far away.
No wager today on NFL game at 6:30.I am just not that interested this year, never sought out a pool square( I normally get every year) and won't even be home for 1st half. A quick scan tells me the SEAHAWKS will win by at least 6 points and cover the spread. I am waiting for results(sometime this upcoming week) from a right wing Judge hearing the bogus Mark Kelly case I wager with a right wing associate of mine(he loves losing his money and HE bets Kelly gets charged and loses his pension(reduces) and gets demotion) I told him I will have no trouble relieving him of his silly wager against Kelly getting a reduced pension his penchant(decrease) and being demoted in rank) He is a hard head MAGA and reality for him is usually on the edge :) I am looking at the Las Virgenes (Grade 111)(OAKS PREP) hopefuls in Santa Anita tonight(5:30post I believe) 3 year old fillies SUPER CORREDORA and EXPLORA rematch, most likely unfavorable betting opportunity ,short field low odds. AND THEIR OFF!!
’Whichever way the investigation comes out, you wind up compromising the program.’
If I had to, I’d bet it’s not an issue of compromising a signals intelligence (SIGINT) program, but rather a tradecraft source (HUMINT). Satellite capabilities for intelligence gathering are somewhat discernible by all sides, but human assets are not. Nonetheless, it’s all bullshit…
"It's because the Left is actively and aggressively intolerant. They simply cannot live and let live. They want to stomp in your garden, while angrily protecting their own."

The photo is stunning Prof. I would dearly love to play around with the original, even if just shot in jpeg v Apple RAW/Pro Res. You have my email but I can’t get that on my lake here since, well, odds of a freeze of White Rock Lake in Dallas, while non-zero, most likely won’t happen in the remaining years of my life. I just posted a winter wonderland photo on my Insty page taken from my house (same name as my commenting handle) and there are some other sunsets in the there, maybe a sunrise or two, but nothing like this (absent any light inputs like street lamps or car headlights from across the lake). It’s not so much the colors on the this one that makes the photos but the the stark lines of separation between land, sea and air, or black, white and hue!
Mark lies. I have not defined what is American and what is not, simply pointed out that un-American is not the same thing as non-American. Surely we can all agree that an American citizen cannot (by definition) be non-American, and that includes Puerto Ricans. But an American citizen can certainly be un-American, that is, opposed to the principles on which the U.S. was founded, even if we disagree about which American citizens qualify. Was George Lincoln Rockwell, leader of the U.S. Nazi Party, un-American? Of course he was! Similarly, you can be an anti-Semite even if you're ethnically Jewish: people may argue whether Noam Chomsky qualifies, but there's no doubt that Bobby Fischer hated Jews, though half-Jewish himself. And anyone who seriously thinks Trump and his supporters are "Fascists" or "Nazis" certainly thinks they are un-American. Does Mark? If so, he qualifies.
By the way, I'm still waiting for Mark to tell me whether he's the same Mark who left thousands of comments on Betsy's Page and was one of the main reasons she gave up blogging. It's a yes-or-no question: why can't he answer it?
A simple 'no' would have sufficed, and a question is not an accusation. The fact is that the 'Mark' who helped destroy Betsy's Page was dishonest in very similar ways to this 'Mark', so it was a natural question, one that still hasn't received a straight answer.
The fact is that I have offered no opinion as to whether Bad Bunny is or is not un-American, simply pointed out that Mark's 10:29am comment was idiotic, because Puerto Ricans are perfectly capable of being un-American, though they cannot, by definition, be non-American. Is Mark too stupid to understand a clearly-stated and very simple logical argument, or is playing dumb for political advantage?
What is American or football about Bad Bunny? Most Americans and certainly most NFL fans don't know a single song. The first half-time act like that ever, so what was the purpose of signing him?
I have been informed that much of pyrotechnics have been cancelled, not all. Seems they were making a sooty mess of things. Also the head guy, director of the whole show was just fired along with a few others over anticipated dissatisfaction of the show's visibility to fans in house. So I'm told.
If Ted Nugent was going to do a national soccer game in Mexico, and he told the Mexican public they need to learn English, would that be un-Mexican? I bet Mexican's would think so.
It's a little sad watching nostalgia morph to a newer music, but we had our time. Gen X deserves better than Back Street Boys. Gen X has the whole Grunge era. Where is it?
Upset in the Santa Anita race by filly named MEANING blew by the favorites in upper stretch to win by length and a half. Not bettable race in only a 5 horse field.Don't think the OAKS this year will see either one of these fillies on top. We got home in time to watch half time show(the real one)and thought it was okay( not much into canned backround music but I like the dancing and upbeat theme. Watching last quarter of football game was not stimulating but SEAHAWKS (defense) was too much for the kid on other team. The pool numbers 6-0 9-0 12-0 29-13 (9-3)(especially 2-0 are not numbers I would have liked if I decided to play this year. Only time I waged a lot was in NEW YORK betting bookie tickets with point spreads, you could collect well with good wager and picking over/unders ,beating the spread and picking winning teams at least 5 plays to make any $$$. Time to start honing in on DERBY PROSPECTS and prep races.

I was looking at a video of a struggle session in Minneapolis this morning.
Well said, wildswan.

Based on the book by Freida McFadden. Yes, there’s violence. Suspense thriller. Very enjoyable.

Amazing!
WSJ:
A U.S. intelligence official has alleged wrongdoing by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard in a whistleblower complaint that is so highly classified it has sparked months of wrangling over how to share it with Congress, according to U.S. officials and others familiar with the matter.
Open thread right?

It shows you just how stupid gadfly is that he believes an anonymous "whistleblower" told the WSJ about a file they had never seen was put in a safe that doesn't exist and nobody has ever seen proves Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian Spy.
He is just a stupid evil dishonest person.
Gadfly or the whistleblower?
US Immigration personnel in Italy?
What fake news outlet are you reading?
Perhaps you can get a vicarious magic mushroom dose through it?
ulsi is a Russian spy and Epstein was a Russian spy, Trump is a Russian "asset" anybody who questions the globalist project is marching in some kind of Russian loyal fifth column.

Skip ahead to 3 minutes or so.
Vonn crashes 90 seconds into her race. After all the hype NBC was doing on her comeback after her injury, who is really surprised.
Delete “the” in the above post. Not sure why I can no longer delete post and fix typos.
“Odd that Jews went matrilineal at some later point.”
My theory has always been that it was because powerless women were raped so often.

Actually, the U.S. defeated Finland to win the gold. They defeated Russia to get to the gold medal round.
@William50. While that is true, the game against the Finns was an afterthought compared to the game against the Soviets. Thanks for the correction.
I see Fen showed up yesterday morning. His voice was missed.
The Olympics are a spectacle, so people watch. Few watch to know more about the political and social views of athletes. It's hard to care about Team USA when competitors don't think much of the USA.

Gadfly finds another Russia Collusion hoax to fall for.
They really must think that we are stupid.
@Jaq, your observation creates a pair of related questions. Is gadfly part of the globalist cabal, so he stupidly thinks we’re stupid? Or is he not a part of the cabal and he stupidly fell for their gambit?
This Russian hoax could really be bad, though. I heard the whistleblower is named Eric Ciaramella… ;)
Oh noes...anyways
Two young men in my family are working at the super bowl this year, one is doing the pyro, and the other is doing cameras. They've been there all week. I know who the unnamed acts are for halftime, but cannot reveal it. All I can say is I don't know any NFL fans who would choose these acts. It's like the purpose is to piss fans off. Goodell is an idiot.
This is the sort of idiotic pearl-clutching that makes me wonder just how stupid you have to be to graduate from Dartmouth.
https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2026/02/the-most-racist-thing-ever.php
Hinderaker (and most of his commenters) denounce Trump and the "racist video" without the slightest comprehension of or acknowledgement that the allegedly racist part was a 3 second snippet which was (apparently) auto-loaded on the end of the youtube clip regarding 2020 election issues.
CC, JSM
Was that under tagliabue leadership or esrly goodell
CC, JSM
Like one of robert littells earlier work,
Michael Jackson was pretty broadly popular and nonpolitical, but this year's acts are clearly un-American and anti hetero in their own words and, actions.
I mean you have the quixotic exercise of some one who cant sing green day can sing but what is this 2003,?
PENSION.. (NOT GONNA HAPPEN,SILLY TO THINK SO)

"this year's acts are clearly un-American"
Last I checked, Puerto Rico was part of America.
Mark, there are un-American people in Philadelphia. What's your point?
Bet on your fellow lefties to lose, Dinky. Take it to the bank.
Mark doesn't know the difference between un-American and non-American. Hint: the former has a lot of overlap with anti-American.

Dr Weevil, official definer of what is 'American'
Ridiculous.
Who the hell is Betsy?
As usual, comments here come with a side of tin hat accusations. Gimme a break.
Why is Bad Bunny un-American, Weevil?
A simple 'no' would have sufficed, and a question is not an accusation. The fact is that the 'Mark' who helped destroy Betsy's Page was dishonest in very similar ways to this 'Mark', so it was a natural question, one that still hasn't received a straight answer.
The fact is that I have offered no opinion as to whether Bad Bunny is or is not un-American, simply pointed out that Mark's 10:29am comment was idiotic, because Puerto Ricans are perfectly capable of being un-American, though they cannot, by definition, be non-American. Is Mark too stupid to understand a clearly-stated and very simple logical argument, or is playing dumb for political advantage?
like lin miranda for instance, a darling for a time, because he fit the template of the era, the early obama years,
This is the sort of idiotic pearl-clutching that makes me wonder just how stupid you have to be to graduate from Dartmouth.
... or a former prosecutor from Iowa.
Dr. Weevil why did you stop blogging?
I bet Mexican's would think so.
https://www.americanhalftimeshow.com/
Can we talk about the damn football game? Go Hawks!!!
Hawks ahead by 6
This football game reminds me why I stopped wasting my time watching football. Surprised at the amount of gambling ads, is that new for NFL games?
The gambling scandal, should have put a pin in it
I got Hawks - 4.5 under 45.
It's a little sad watching nostalgia morph to a newer music, but we had our time. Gen X deserves better than Back Street Boys. Gen X has the whole Grunge era. Where is it?
Mexicans WOULD think so. And let him know it.
